Some kind of meteor-enhanced worms make Chloe and Pete misbehave the way that Red Kryptonite makes Clark bad. Combine it all and there's a lot of trouble.

The best part for me was when Pete and Chloe drove off over that ravine. I gave out Bo Duke's southern war cry on that one. Smallville just loves them car wrecks and near car wrecks.

the first time i saw this episode i was suprised to see that i did not like it very much(which is suprising because i love red k episodes) it seemed too fast paced and the red k scenes didn't last very long and were not as fun to watch as the ones in "Red" and it seemed like there was something missing. anyway after watching the episode more times, i have grown to like it a lot! i like how Chloe says "kiss my ass" to Dr. Walden, and she looks very hot in this episode. I also like when Chloe and Pete jump the car off the gorge and Clark catches it. however it still seems like this episode is missing something

Allison did great! She said she was first nervous when she did her "bad Chloe" scenes, but grew into it. She was astoundingly HOT (She's always hot, but in this episode...WOW), and I loved the lollypop scene! Brilliant!
The ending was sad with Clark and Lana. The rose in the trash was good symolism, and I liked that they kept continuity by having it appear in the next episode "Prodigal".

I like when at the begining Pete and Clark are talking and Pete tells Clark that he should go for Lana, and Clark says he can't and Pete says 'why, because you can't share your secret? You shared it with me, and I accepted you! Why not Lana??' I was freakin' applauding that dude!! Clark, hello, give Lana a chance!!! :)

Probably the same thing that happens any time they are together. Nothing. Once characterisation is firmly established it's fun to see characters act 'out-of-character'. So, I really enjoyed this episode, especially the dare devil gorge jumping.

I felt so bad for Lana when she saw Clark and Chloe on the couch at the talon. It was sweet how Clark was willing to risk his secret being told to help Pete.

Chloe was great in this episode. The "kiss my ass" line was great and it gave me a little chuckle. Altered personality episodes are always very high on my list and this one is no exception.

Aye i agree with you tallville, the whole bad ass Chloe was awsome. Man this episode was absolutely cranking. Deff in my top 5 fav episodes of Season 2. I liked everything about it. Chloe was SO DARN HOTT and it was different and refreshing to see them make out. I like the way Pete approached Clark and slipped in that Red K...'Clark my friend in your world Green means stop and Red mean GO'. Classic stuff. Also it was good to see Pete another side of Pete...same wid Chloe. Great Ep!

All I have to say is that I love Chlark in this eppy, they make such a hot couple, and yes, what's the fun in getting a room, when you're making out w/ red clark at 60 MPH. wow hot.

This is my favorite Smallville episode so far (I'm only through Disc 4 of Season 2). It's amazing how dynamic the episode is. This episode saw the zenith and the rock bottom of Clark and Lana's relationship. It kinda made me hate Lana because she's so close-minded and is always ready to drop Clark. Chloe was unbelievably hot in this episode.

well I can say I enjoyed this episode it was fun to see Clark/Pete/Chloe act wild. The lollipop OMG smh, made me a fan of allison haha j/k,Pete comments about talkin to lana were true.Lana overreactin to seein chlark was funny to me,cause she was tellin the truth by sayin there is sumthin there between them.Cause she knew why chloe was kissin him but why was he kissin back(Remember Red K makes clark not hold back on what he wants which at that time was chloe in the backseat lol). But then at the end not forgive clark for his actions but acknowledge chloe bein on sumthin, not fair at all.But funny to watch, espcially wit chloe tellin pete to make a stop at the talon. That girl knew what she was doin lol, good episode tho.Alot funny moments

Wow this and the red episode are just awsome, everyones pretty much coverd what was great, did anyone else get what they were doing with pete and clarke? the starsky and hutch detective thing! with the red car, cruising round trying to solve the mytsery, that was great!!
The scene with lex and clarke when hes trippin ;) on red krypto that was so well scripted and acted!!
The way chloe told lana that clarke had told her everything i mean everything that was a great scene! lanas emotional acting was pure class.
The only minor point was how it ended, great effect with him stopping the car, but it cut straight to them in the hospital bed even though pete had a krypto rock with him, no explanation for how he stopped them???? strange but still the best episode since red

Hey!!! Yeah, this is one of my all time favorite epis ^^
Does anybody have a HQ trailer for download?
I have one, but its in bad quality :( :( :(
Oh, and a little question: In that "Rush" trailer, they show a Chlark scene at the talon that it's not in the episode...
Here it is...so you can remember:

They show that scene in the episode, I think. That's when Clark had the Red K in his pocket, and when Chloe took off his shirt the effects wore off.

it was a good episode, but lana really pisses me off in this one. I mean just a couple eps ago at the end of visage she is crying in clark's arms thanking him and apologizing for being such a ***** and never trusting him yet he always saved her and had her best interest at heart. How can she so easily dismiss and distrust him after saying all that in visage..... she is either really dumb and easily swayed or just a *****. (ofcourse bad writing is the real reason).
This episode is the epitomy of the bad writing in smallville (the one step forwards 2 steps back technique used throughout the show). Also clark was not even kissing chloe back when lana walked into the talon, i watched the scene over again and you clearly see clark push off of her as soon as she begins planting one on him and he only sees lana after pushing away from the kiss (meaning he didn't let go becuase lana walked in). He should have told Lana that she was wrong and he wasn't kissing her back when she said he was at the end of the ep. Clark/Lana's combined idiocy just annoys me sometimes because the writers do it deliberately to further drag on the same storyline rather than giving it a logical flow.
I'm not a Clana hater and have no prob with them its just the fact that the writers do dumb things like this and make them both look stupid.
Sorry to take away from the episode because it is still good, but its just the way they handle Clana and its continuity with visage (the preceding clana ep) is very bad.

The bit where Clark reveals his secret, was hilerious:
Pete: Can we tell her?
Clark: I'm suprised she hasn't figured it out already.
Chloe: Figured out what?
And the scene where Chloe was rubbing it in Lana's face that she knows everything about Clark.

i liked this episode except they dangled the happy clana in front of us and then YANKED it away - my explanation of the whole clark pushes her off and wasnt kissing her back debate is that the waitress went and got her about the making out people like chloe said to do
parasite was creepy!
rest awsome
o ya and clark totally could have explained everything to lana
ie they drugged him
the parasite in pete

Just re-watched it. I didn't enjoy it as much as I have in the past because this time I actually felt for Lana as opposed to just laughing at her and telling her to leave the episode.
The way Pete cares for the caves on Clark's behalf is so heart warming. The fact that it distracts him from a hot friend date with Chloe speaks volumes for how much Pete cares about Clark.
Another geek crushing on Chloe is revealed. <3
I like that Clark is concerned about Pete's emotional well being after seeing someone die.
Clark asks Lana on a date. It's a great Clana moment. Clark is so pleasantly surprised and Lana's very excited. Later there's a nice Chlana moment when Chloe wants to go shopping with Lana aided and abetted by Gabe Sullivan. Lana tells Chloe about her date with Clark. *sigh*
I love Principal Reynolds. He doesn't actually appear in this episode but he is mentioned. Clark's obsession with the caves is causing him to be late to school. Principal Reynolds should have had another episode. <3
Clark won't tell Chloe about his date with Lana. *sigh*
Crazy Pete is so obnoxious. LOL! He goes back and forth between getting on my nerves and being really funny.
It's sad that Lana is hurt, Clark's date and relationship with Lana take a huge blow because she sees him as a cruel liar. Meanwhile Pete and Chloe conveniently forget everything. It makes me curious about the gossip after this episode. How did Chloe react to hearing that she and Clark were making out in the Talon? Did Pete try to mollify Lana on Clark's behalf. He would know that his behavior was due to the red K.
I also thought that if only Clark could just lie a little. Just a little... Yeah Lana... I was affected by... this red stone. It...
...
Ok... there was nothing he could say. If he were affected by the parasite too, why didn't he need surgery? *sigh*
*shakes head*
That said I love Chloe's make out session with Clark. I wonder how much that was fueled by her lollipop fun earlier in the episode. I also love her red k rant about Clark just using her to search for stuff.
KK had a great line reading in her scene with Chloe in the hospital. "I didn't recognize her." Very well done. I kind of wished Lana had told the truth. I really want to see Chloe's reaction. She probably would have just been angry that she couldn't remember macking with a shirtless Clark.
I didn't blame Lana at all for throwing the flower away. Clark's face looked so dumb when she asked him to explain. He looked like a lying dumba**. Poor Clark.
Bittersweet fun.

I just saw a re-run of this episode on HD net. I know that a lot of people liked Chloe in this episode but I did not like the way she set Clark up by asking him what his plans were for the weekend after Lana told her that Clark asked her out on a date. Clark is her friend. All she had to do was tell Clark that Lana told her about the date to introduce that subject if she wanted to talk about it. It is a touchy subject for her, Lana and Clark so she could have just been honest about the whole thing. Season 2 Chloe is not my favorite. Especially towards the end of the season when she betrays Clark by taking a job from Lionel to spy on him.

^Chloe is pretty immature the whole season. I really wish she and Clark could have had a conversation about this. They have the beginning of a conversation several times. Chloe is the one who pulls the friend card and then she acts like Clark's cheating on her when he goes for Lana. Near the end of she season Clark's angry with Chloe. He could easily have told her, several times, what was obvious: He's dating Lana now, he wants to be more than friends with her. I think he was angry that Chloe kept guilt tripping him when he'd done nothing wrong.
As far as Lionel's job offer goes, I'm sure Chloe thought that Clark didn't have anything to hide. He's a farm boy from Smallville, Kansas. Lionel framed the job offer to her in terms of her career; "Are you really going to sacrifice your journalism career for Clark's questionable friendship? Also, of course, she was jealous. Her first instinct was to tell Lionel to shove his job offer. She even went to warn Clark. He was making out with Lana. :( I feel sure that if Chloe had known how huge Clark's secret was, how dangerous, she never would have agreed to work for Lionel.
But yeah, Season 2 is certainly a low point for Chloe's character in terms of her relationship with Clark.

Just watched this ep again and I liked it. Give it an 8, particularly for the end. This happened in season two before such scenes between Clark and Lana got tiresome. Love the song with it too. Kind of fun to be watching season 8 and these early ones. Lots of changes, lots of great stories. Do miss the Kents though.

I just rewatched this epi on HD NET and picked up on that quote -- came back to the boards to see if anyone else had noticed it. Chloe was really pushing the envelope with her language in this ep! And the writing was so much tighter back in the high school days!
When it comes to green kryptonite, Clark only has to be in the room for it to affect him; however, with red kryptonite he has to be in some sort of contact with it to affect him. Is this a continuity error or explained in any manner?
I loved the lollypop scene!

Just look at season 9 and then you'll realize it wasn't a low point at all. Season 9 has really put the brakes on that relationship.

Not a big fan of this episode.
I hate how Red K was brought back just for the sake of being in the episode. Red K has to be one of the most over-used plot devices in the last ten years. It did have moments that I liked though. I really liked Chloe's attitude when she was standing up to Walden in the cave, the lollipop Chlark scene was great "what can I do for you?", the Chlark power reveal, and Clark catching the car. All cool stuff.
However, I would have to say that Unsafe and Rush are the two worst Red K episodes of the series IMO. The ones I like are Exile, Red, and Crimson.

People are pissed off at Lana because...what? She didn't kneel (grovel) at the altar of Clark Kent?
It doesn't matter that she apologized for being a bad friend earlier. Clark and Lana have been dancing around their attraction to each other for 2 years! He finally asked her out on a date, which she accepted, and later that SAME day she sees him making out with Chloe at the Talon? And let's not forget, Chloe made it a point to tell Lana that Clark had told her his big secret in between making out with her. I think she has every reason to be upset and less than forgiving when Clark has just trampled on her heart and feelings with no REASONABLE explanation. I will agree with you that the writers went to the Clark/Lana/Chloe jealousy and misunderstanding well TOO many times. But the way Lana reacts to the madness is reasonable and in character for her.
