Some caves may offer the clues to Clark's past. Plus, Clark meets a beautiful Native American woman (Tamara Feldman as Kyla) who also may be more than meets the eye.

Tamara Feldman was hot!! It's only a shame they killed off her character.

She was pretty and her character was interesting. They killed someone off in all three episodes in a row - Ryan, Her, and Whitney. It was like 2 was the sad of seasons

did anybody notice the mistake in one of the scenes?

ok, it's near the end of the show, when the site is closed down after lex bought it, and he is talking to his dad out side. ok, so when they show the front of lex's face, he is wearing sunglasses, but when they show the back/side-ish of his head, he isn't wearing them!

haha, it made laugh.

So, she was a skinwalker/werewolf, and she got her powers because a kryptonian came to earth 500 hundred years ago, and gave them kryptonite that made them shape shift. That kryptonian also mated with humans to produce the Kiwatche race. Am I right? So how is it that Clark can't have children with a human then?

But he can. Never mind.

Not great, but good. The main reason I like this episode is because it is the first time we see the caves.

Yeh i thought this ep was pretty good. The introduction of the caves and a minor love interest Clark all in one ep was good. Such as shame Kyla died cos for one she was good looking but i guess she did lie to Clark. But anyways great ep :)

I have some questions about the cave:

If a Kryptonian came to earth 500 years ago, how did he bring with him Kryptonite meteor rocks? Didn't that come from the core of Krypton when it exploded? The only things I learned from researching Jor-El and Krypton and Earth contact was:

- Thousands of years prior, Atlantis sent a space prob to Krypton

- Sul-EL, an ancestor of Clark's, invents the telescope and maps earth.

- The first to go to Earth was Var-El (Clarks biological grandfather). 75 years prior to Krypton's destrcution, he went to earth to conduct energy experiments and was the first to discover Kryptonians had powers there. One version says he parished during the experiment while another says he was visited by some time-travelers: Prof. Alpheus Hyatt, Superman and the Atom.

The whole superman time traveling storyline throws me off, in another version superman time travels back far enough and meets his father Jor-El. I never read this so im not sure how this happens or why.

Sorry to get off the beaten track by the way lol.

i love u tom

i liked this episode. my favorite scene is when clarks shirt is open after he fell in :D that will always be the first image in my mind when someone mentions skinwalker. i also like how its the first episode with the caves.

This episode is one of my favorites. Intro to the caves that provided the story arc in season 2.

This is one of my favorite episodes. I love native american culture and so that was a plus... Also, the casting of Joseph Willowbrook was wonderful! I'd like to see him again. :D

This time around, watching the episode, I thought of Lois when Kyla pointed out the painting of Naman's true love. I really like Kyla too. She's like a cross between Sarah Carter and Kristin Kruek. She even has Sarah's (Alicia) line at one point, "I'll never tell anyone your secret." She's just as crazy as Alicia too... Well not quite as crazy but... One minute she's trying to maim his mother the next minute she's kissing him?

I love the foreshadowing of Lex and Clark's future throughout season 2. Especially in this episode and in Ryan... Very cool. The story of Naman and Segetu (sp?) being the balance of good and evil...

I love how Clark sort of takes charge in this episode and really works hard to fight for the caves. He tries Martha, that doesn't work he tries Henry Small... It's just great. At the end Clark's standing all alone in front of the bulldozers at the site.

I hope Clark gives Kyla's bracelet to Lois at some point! :)

i just watched the episode again today. kyla was smokin. and well acted, with a good storyline to boot. i hate that she died in the same ep she was introduced in. very interesting how it played into the future.

I was thinking the exact same thing. What a waste of talent. That was the first time I've seen it and loved the episode up until the end. They killed her off and in such a weak way. The last ten minutes of the episode really stunk (especially with Lana's revelation as well). Too bad, because I loved it up until then.

Skinwalker:

I really enjoyed watching this episode, especially when it talks about the story of Naman. I loved the scenes with Kyla and Clark. I also liked the script. Good acting, especially from Kristin Kreuk, when she broke down and cried over Whitney, because he was missing in action.

My favorite parts of Skinwalker were the Clark & Kyla scenes, the Lex and Lionel scene, and the end of Skinwalker with the Clark & Lana scene (in the barn loft).

1) Clark & Kyla

Kyla (to Clark): "Oh, my gosh!"

Clark: "What is it?"

Kyla: "It's the legend of Naman. My ancestors have passed down this story for generations. They said it had been written in the earth long ago, but nobody ever knew where it was until now."

Clark: "Sure, no problem."

Kyla: "You don't understand. My grandfather's been searching for this wall his whole life. It was prophesied that Naman would fall from the skies in a rain of fire. They say that Naman will have the strength of 10 men and will be able to start fires with his eyes. It probably sounds silly."

Clark (looking serious): "Not to me."

Kyla: "I've got to tell my grandfather about this. Come on, I'll show you the way out. Try and keep up."

2) Clark & Kyla (at Clark's barn loft)

Kyla (to Clark, pointing at a star): "Do you see the bright one right there? If you follow the stars around it, it makes the shape of a wolf's head. See how one of the eyes is missing? Our ancestors say that there used to be a star there. That's where Naman came from."

Clark: "And what happened to it?"

Kyla (teasing Clark): "You tell me. You're the one who fell from the sky."

3) Clark and Kyla (at the Kawatche Caves)

Kyla: "The pictographs are a lot more detailed up here."

Clark: "What do they say?"

Kyla: "It promises that one day Naman will protect the entire world. Oh, Clark, get up here. You have to see this."

Clark: "What is it?"

Kyla: "It's Segeeth. He's like a brother to Naman. Legend has it, one day he'll turn against Naman, and together they'll be the balance between good and evil."

Clark: "Kyla!"

Kyla: "How'd you do that?"

Clark: "Just adrenaline, I guess."

Kyla: "No, yesterday you didn't have a scratch on you and... What, you shoot fire out of your eyes too?" (Clark wasn't laughing. He looked serious and walked away). "Oh, my gosh. I was just joking. You -- you really are Naman."

Clark: "I don't know what I am. You don't seem very freaked out."

Kyla: "Because I know what it's like to be different. Clark, it's okay. Maybe this could explain everything I've been feeling the last few days."

Clark: "There are a lot of things about me that I can't explain."

Kyla: "Clark, you don't have to. I grew up around a lot of things that seemed unexplainable."

Clark: "Yes, but I'm --"

Kyla: "You try and use logic and reason to try to make sense of it, but you just have to give in."

(The thing that I loved about the Clark & Kyla scenes, was Clark Kent's history. The Naman story is about Clark's past history. He's the Naman, the future Superman. Kyla was really describing Clark Kent when she said, "It was prophesied that Naman will fall from the skies in a rain of fire. He will have the strength of 10 men and will be able to start fires with his eyes." Clark Kent did fall from the sky in a rain of fire (he came down on a ship during the meteor shower). Super-strength is one of his gifted abilities, and so is the heat-vision).

4) Lex and Lionel scene

(This is the best quote from Lionel Luthor from Skinwalker. John Glover had a good script).

Lex: "Dad, you always told me to choose my battles wisely."

Lionel: "I hope I didn't use such an obvious cliche."

Lex: "You should have taken my offer on this land."

Lionel: "What is this?"

Lex: "In light of the petition drive, the state has decided to exercise the Historic Artifacts Amendment, and buy you out at 30 cents on the dollar. I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that LexCorp has secured the contract for the preservation for this entire area."

Lionel: "Altruism is not in your blood, Lex. Believe me. I don't know what you're up to, but you found something valuable in those caves, and whatever it is, I'll find it."

(I loved the way John Glover delivered his lines. He is a superb actor, as well as Michael Rosenbaum).

5) Clark & Lana scene (at the Kawatche Caves)

Clark: "Lana."

Lana: "I wanted to tell you how sorry I am about Kyla."

Clark: "I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to know her better. You had a lot in common."

Lana: "That means a lot, knowing how important she was to you."

Clark: "Kyla told me there used to be a star right out there by the bright one. But it disappeared."

Lana: "It's amazing how quickly a light can go out."

Clark: "Lana, you're shaking. Are you okay?"

Lana: "No. No, I don't think so. I guess it hasn't sunk in yet."

Clark: "Lana..."

Lana: "Whitney's mom just called. He's missing in action."

(This is one of Kristin's best acting during the 2nd Season of Smallville. She was also great in Visage. Kristin Kreuk made me cry when I watched both episodes: Skinwalker and Visage. I'm sure Kristin Kreuk fans will agree that this is one of her best acts, and one of her best moments of Smallville).

I watched this episode recently and wondered about the bracelet. It was a nice idea. I really hope the writers don't forget about it. But I mean, why show that he keeps it if they aren't going to bring it up in the future? Surely he's got to give it to Lois at some point (like, last episode at the rate things are going), hasn't he?

I liked this episode because it introduced the caves which were the backbone of seaons 2 and 3, and because Kyla was a hottie, if not that great an actress.

We're 5 more years into the show already. I'm beginning to wonder whether he's going to give it to anyone at all at this point. I think the TPTB are just going to keep us all hanging forever, for a "fill in the blank" ending .... and quite happy to do it to us, too. ;)

Well the bracelet is supposed to go to the 'woman he's destined to be with'. Lana clearly isn't that woman, Lois clearly is, but Clark should not give it to her at all during this show because they don't actually start a romantic relationship until well after Clark becomes Superman.

Kyla was not a great actress but was part of a good episode. I liked the Clyla relationship a lot more than the Clark-Alicia relationship. I wouldn't have minded a story arc of a few episodes involving the two.

A great episode, I love the way the caves are introduced and the legend of Naman with it. I didn't like Kyla, it was weird since the beggining, plus she tried to kill Martha so...

I think it was more the symbol of the shape of the bracelet then more the bracelet itself. I think Kyla was buried with the bracelet but the shape if means this is the women he's suppose to be destined with. This is where CK starts thinking about "soulmates" & mistake her of Lana.

I hope also that these writers tie the Caves, Naman Phophecy & the bracelet with Lois. It's the only way to clean all the CLANA crap I've been feed for the last 8yrs to truly feel that CK and Lois will ever have the same classic "love" in Superman myth.

I need Clark to work like a dog for Lois & feel how blind & stupid he was wasting his time with Lana. I just want Clark to realize that what he had with Lana wasn't love but an boyhood obsession that almost made him lose the "greatest love of his life" his "destine soulmate" Lois Lane.

I just tired already of the SV run around and CK character degeneration.

Lana Lang WHO? I really didn't love you as much as I love Lois. It's over. Go away. Good By and don't come back.

Wow i just think that this part:

Kyla: "It's the legend of Naman. My ancestors have passed down this story for generations. They said it had been written in the earth long ago, but nobody ever knew where it was until now."

Clark: "Sure, no problem."

Kyla: "You don't understand. My grandfather's been searching for this wall his whole life. It was prophesied that Naman would fall from the skies in a rain of fire. They say that Naman will have the strength of 10 men and will be able to start fires with his eyes. It probably sounds silly."

Is the single most stupid thing I've heard on smallville.

He's been searching for them his whole life and she's in them researching and walks around a corner and bam, caves uncovered?

Ridiculous.
