Yeah, I liked Clark running for class prez. and all, but the FOTW was a little TOO silly. :)

I'm in the minority here, but Sasha the bee girl is one of my favorite FOTWs and this episode is one of my favorites from the first season. I thought all of the characters got equal time--even Pete--and the Chloe/Clark scenes were terrific. Recently I've found myself longing for season one eps...they had something the show has long since lost.

I loved this episode, too. My favorite part of Drone is when a swarm of bees go after Martha Kent, and Clark super-speeds to save his mom. And even though Sasha was mean, Clark comes to her rescue, anyway. That's what I like about Clark; no matter who you are, he comes to your rescue.

I like this episode, it's not the big thing, but all the hints about Clark and Lex's future are just great.

Plus, since in seven season's "Cure" we got Sasha back, it's cool to remember what happened to her so many years ago.

The godfather bits in this episode where hilerious.

I liked the way Pete stood up for Clark in the lunch area to Chloe, even though Chloe was in the right, it was good to see Pete being so loyal in the early days.

Lex in the first scene with the reporter was funny too.

Pete was good in that episode, he had a real passion and it was great foreshadowing of his future career... the man behind the man.

The FOTW? Not so much. She was annoying and her power was lame.

And that shot where the bees get together to show Sasha's face... that image is gonna burn my eyes for the rest of my life.

A simple, nice story without anything too serious going on. An excellent idea for 'Krypto-Mutant-Of-The-Week' and the character was absolutely hateful. One of my favourite episodes from season 1.

I wish Pete had run for Class President and won. That would have made the episode better and given Pete more to do in subsequent seasons.

^Very interesting. I never thought about it that way. Though... Sasha the Bee Girl was manipulating her horde so... perhaps she deserved it.

She was sending the bees to kill people and it had nothing to do with the well being of the hive.

I've been so hard on this episode in the past but it was so much fun! Yes bee girl was silly but there was a lot of good character stuff. Great music, great spirit... and having an episode called "Drone" attached to an election was inspired. Cheesy but inspired. LOL!

Also I like that Pete was sort of the machine behind Clark's campaign. His running commentary showed his political savvy. :D

This was a great episode for Pete.

I'm assuming that she did retain her ability to control the bees because she told Chloe that Dr. Knox cured her. So she must have still had that power up until she met Dr. Knox.

Mmmhm... I know. [Season 7, Episode 4 - Cure]. However, I write them with all the knowledge in the show up to that point. We always have newcomer fans and I'd hate to spoil what's in [Season 7] by putting it in a [Season 1] thread. :)

I was really disappointed when they couldn't even get the original Sasha back for "Cure"...I mean, they had Dean Cain but the producers couldn't get an medium-rate actor back in?? It was pretty disappointing :(

Agreed. It was great seeing Clark get involved in some school stuff and the episode was somewhat funny in places. I didn't mind the meteor freak villain either.

I gave it a 6 out of 10. It was a little on the boring side, and the FOTW character was a bit on the ridiculous side. Chloe and Clark had some nice conversations, and I love how he realized how important she'd been to him over the course of the past year. I really wish I could've heard Clark's entire campaign speech, though...

I think this episode is just okay, not too adventurous, the girl controls bee?? sounds like new power but wasn't really very interesting. i really thought Clark going to win the election but sad he didn't, may be its just the way it is for the world's savers can't take the burden of being a politician!!

final thoughts: This is a pretty standard Smallville episode. I don't love it or hate it, but one thing good about it is that the characters are all pretty cute in their interactions with each other. That's the one thing I get out of season 1 even when the episodes aren't fantastic. :)

This was a weak, but fun episode. The bee-controlling power is strange, but I enjoyed the “running for class president” story. Pete was funny in this episode as well. 6/10

I can't help but to like this episode. I liked the FOTW because of the actress who I think was very good. The controlling the bees thing was a little weird but I just cant help but like the actress and even the character.
BTW I am definitely on Team Chloe, real reporter endorses who she thinks is best not her bf.

But well-placed. I really do like this episode :)
