A story partially told in flashback, as it seems someone who was killed on a night gone wrong at Club Zero in Lex's past is back from the dead (guest star Corin Nemec). All this, and Chloe digs too deep into Clark's past for comfort, and as if things aren't bad enough, Bo's cows are killed. :(

Them poor, poor innocent cows. I shall have a moment of silence for the cows :(

I liked this episode a lot because it goes into Lex's mysterious past, and it has a good plot, and i love the name "club zero" it is so simple but cool. and i like the music being played in club zero.

I love this episode alot, personally. For the main part, because hey, it's about Lex. With him and Lionel being my favorite characters, it was a treat. Though, I can never get over Lex's expressions and how great they are. Out of every episode, from all the seasons, the one he makes at the beginning of Zero is ranking in my top favorites. Where he's just in the club, the techno's playing, and then all of a sudden, the guy is shot. With the lights flashing, the way he looks over his shoulder just makes me laugh every time.

I was great to have Sam Phelan return in this episode. Just showed how troubled their relationship was to begin with.

Hmm >.o
Would someone explain to me what the hell happened?
I've watched it twice, and I still can't figure out the real story of club zero.

I'm new to watching Smallville and I must say this was by far my fav episode from Season 1 so far. A great backstory on Lex and the ending was shocking. Very good stuff, this episode definately helped soldify (?) me continuing being a Smallville fan.
Anyone think the Club Zero incident is what lead to Lionel sending Lex to Smallville?.

This episode is not my favorite but it was very well done. it was the first mystery type episode and it was fun trying to figure it out for the first time.

Did anyone notice how Chloe's pictures of the cow disaster at the Kent farm strangely included a ridiculously good close up of the body double of the guy who was shot in Club Zero?
I thought that was really lame, they could have done that a lot better.

It was another 'fun' episode. Made Lex look good for a change.

For their first attempt at a "mystery" type theme, this was pretty good. It was enjoyable to try to figure out the first time.

Really interesting episode, which doesn't involve any meteor freak and it's Lex centered :D It shows Lex's dark past and at the same time, that even in that dark past, he was capable of good deeds.
But it isn't one of my favorites, I have the feeling that it could have been better.

I love Lex episodes and real mystery episodes, so I definitely liked this one, especially on the first viewing.
It was funny when the fiancé realized that Lex had brought his future wife to the club so that she'd witness his ''infidelity''.
Also, that episode had great continuity. We saw Phelan and we know how Lex took care of his wound (the weird doctor we saw in Hug).
On a side note, I thought that zero consequences was a great ad line for a club.
I love this episode so damn much!
I liked to get more into Lex's past...
I can't get tired of seeing it.

It was an interesting episode, but it had some fails. The show improved in this aspect along it's course

A murder mystery episode which was kinda lop sided.
Lex rocked but the rest... 5/10

I loved this episode! Primarily because it centered around Lex instead of Clark, its nice to have something different every once and a while. I was amazed when the full story of Club Zero was finally told, the fiance shot the gun! It was weird seeing Corin Nemec in this role as such a....freaky guy! I'm used to him on another show as well (Stargate SG1). This show sure also a lot of Stargate actors that guest star! Even the fiancé's brother was from Stargate SG1. I thought the idea of a look-alike of the guy shot was kinda lame. Nobody can look that much alike! It was cool to see Phelan again. I liked the stuff with Lana and the Talon.

the only reason this episode is good is beacause i like flashbacks.

This episode was a little more "adult" and on the violent side. The hand-in-the-box moment was pretty gross... However, it was still a really intense, mysterious episode, and I enjoyed seeing glimpses of Lex's earlier history. The story kept me guessing right up until the end, even though I think the look-alike bit was a little of a stretch. I give this episode 7 Club Zero matchbooks out of 10!
It’s nice to see some of Lex’s past, and the past come back to threaten him. 7/10

I think the point of the varying flashbacks is to leave the situation vague, Lex is bound to say that he didn't do it when being threatened etc . . . also in the flashbacks the dancers keep on dancing as someone gets shot! Really?

I think the point was that it was so loud that they couldn't even hear a gun shot.
