What did all you guys think of the part, at the start of the season when Clark spends all that time in Metropolis?
I thought it was really different, but good, cause you got to see the other side of him, and how things went totally wrong, and it shows you what it would be like if he wasen't good. But as he always does he gets back into the good clark we all know. :)

This was my favorite Season. GREAT opening with Clark in Metropolis, and the beginning of the end for a certain character...(*hint hint..heart condition*....). Loved Morgan Edge. The early *filler episodes* actually moved the story forward, and paid respect to the mythos. Relic and Perry are 2 of my fav's.
I love the mid-season cliffhanger. I felt genuine suspense with Lex in the asylum after Shattered. The other big cliff hanger in the 3rd quarter of the season was Lionel putting a gun to his neck. yeah, some tension there!
And then, of course, Memoria--which is, IMO, simply the best episode Smallville ever had. As much as I LOVE about 80% of the other episodes, this one simply had it all.
Season 2 was a great Season, and many prefer that one. And I find that completely understandable, it was also a terrific season. But, when I think about how I truly got buzzed with joy waiting for each following episode--how I looked across the room at my brother with AMAZEMENT with each passing plot point--there's no contest.
NOTE: I hope Season 5 gets to this level of writing. It's had some missed opportunities, but it feels like it's building to something that could be exceptional.

I really loved this season. It had a little darker feeling to it then the first two seasons. I loved the interaction between Lionel and Lex during season 3. IMO it has the best season premiere episode in the series so far with Exile. Some of my other favs from this season include Perry, Shattered, Delete and Memoria. So long Pete....

I liked this season because it was darker. Season 1 and Season 2 up till the end was all lollypops and candycanes. Season 3 with Clark having to deal with his mistakes from he end of season 2 and more throughout the rest of the season, and Lex's 'insanity' and Lionel's MBness and Jonathan's health problems.
The season just rocked and really started showing consistency which was kinda skipped in season 4 but has hit off pretty well in Season 5

season 3 is where i started watching smallville on TV. i had just got season 1 on DVD and was totally impressed with it! then i found when the new episodes were on and i started watching it on TV. I believe i came in at "Crisis" and i loved that episode! then near the end of season 3 is when season 2 came out on DVD and i watched all of those episodes. Both season 2 and season 3 are my favorite seasons by far!

My favorite season of the show without a doubt. It had the most consistency in terms of episode quality, and the best overall storyline with Lex and Lionel. This season also has my favorite finale as well. It's too bad that this season had such a crappy superpower intro though. Super hearing has always been my least favorite power, and aside from the scene with Clark and the glasses going on and off at the end, I really did not care for Whisper all that much. It is not the worst episode of the show, by any means. But definately the weakest power episode. It was especially dissapointing since it seems it was the last power that will be introduced. Season four did not give us anything, and season five is almost 3/4 of the way done with no new power. Super breath anyone?
For me seasons three and one are still the best two seasons. Season five has a chance to overtake S1 if it keeps up. But season three will always be my favorite, even if it is only for Shattered, Exile, and Covenant.

I have been watching a lot of season 2 and season 3 lately and I am starting to like season 3 better than season 2. S2 has always been my favorite season, with S3 close behind but I am starting to like season 3 better, with season 2 close behind. It is a hard decision because they are both excellent seasons.

I'd have to say this was the darkest season in the show (although Season 5 is getting close). It was also the best.

This was a really heavy Lex Luthor oriented season as opposed to the others...I think that's why it is my favorite.
You find out about his mother; what really happened to his brother; why his father doesn't love him; the two episodes where he is losing his mind(but not really); and he sends Lionel to prison...awesome!

To me it just seemed almost everyone has a large story line. Lex with his past. Jonathan's deal with Jor El. Chloe's deal with Lionel. Lionel investigation of the caves and of Clark and his illness being revealed and then him nearly having Chloe blown up. Pete and Martha and Lana were pretty much just there but they all did seem to be more involved with plots and story lines than in season past. Like for instance Pete got to say more than 3 words usually an episode. Martha many times took over where usually Jonathan just did when it came to converstaions and such and Lana instead of always just being kiddnapped or stalked was sometimes involved in the 'investigations'....and then she was kidnapped and stalked.
It was just an active season which I think is where season 5 (atleast I hope) is still going.

I think I heard AlMiles say that the theme of Season 3 was "Consequences," and you can tell as a viewer that when the writers have a theme like that, it really helps to keep the season on track. Season 3 is definitely the best in overall storyline - watching almost ALL of the characters deal with the consequences of past decisions and actions, and playing out very interesting arcs. There are many outstanding episodes, and in my opinion, really no "klunkers" (Yes, even Magetic! Don't throw tomatoes at me for saying it.)

Magnetic seems to be the episode that was the most forgettable for me because, well, I dont remember it. I guess i could jsut pull out my dvd set and watch it. I just thought of that  but I guess it is a good sign that I dont think of it like I do Ageless where I fall out of my chair in painful gut splitting laughter and not just tears of humor but of pure pity for that dark spot in the shows history.
So yeah Magnetic cant be that bad. For sure I dont think there were any terrible episodes in season 3

I don't think Season 3 was the best season (that honor would go to Season 2). Overall it was a very good season but I hated the improper use of Pete and how there were so many bad episodes during mid-season.

Agreed. There was so many rubbish episodes in the middle.
I have to admit, it didnt bother me when Pete left because his charcter was starting to get on my nerves towards the end. The writers did a bad job writing for him.

Gotta disagree with you there in saying there were no bad episodes. Resurrection is one of the worst episodes in the entire series after Ageless and Reckoning. I just hated it with a passion. Magnetic is awful too. The only cool scene for me was Clark melting the road with his heat vision.

I didn't care for Magnetic much either. It had a couple cool scenes in it, but overall it was kinda blah IMO. I wasn't real crazy about Slumber in season 3 either. But overall Season 3 still rocks!

I said this in the "Covenant" thread, but now realise this is a more appropriate place to say it:
Upon viewing the whole season, it makes season 4 seem so much more of a waste. SPOILER OF SEASON 5 BELOW:
This episode would've been the opportune time to end Clark and Lex's friendship entirely, break up Clark and Lana permanently, kill of Jonathan Kent, and even... (shudder) start Lexana since they're so desperate to go down that road. Once Clark was sucked into the cave wall, he could've just gotten the crystal to create the Fortress of Solitude, have Chloe watching the whole thing out of the curiosity of Jonathan's enigmatic request and discover Clark's secret then.

Hey Gang. I'm new to the series, I haven't seen any of the episodes on tv, I've just been renting the DVD's. I'm now well into season 3 and enjoying it. I do have one question though...and forgive me if it's just something I missed, but...
Whatever happened to that big blue pickup truck Clark's parents bought him early in Season 3?
This is my favorite season so far.
I LOVE IT.

When I finally got around to watching this season I have to say I found it to be my least favourite... since I'd watched season 4 before this one I missed Lois's prescence. Lol, thats the only reason I can think as to why I really disliked it.
I just found it a bit too Clanarific and the arc was boring, I dunno!

Yeah, I don't get why so many people seem to love season 3 either. It's not bad, but for me the series only really started after Lois arrived. What I loved about season 4 is that Lana had a boyfriend and didn't pester Clark as much.
The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear season 3 is Lex pushing Lana in front of that horse. Don't get me wrong, I like seeing Lana getting hurt or killed as much as the next man, but what followed was just trite.

My favorite Season 3 episodes are:
EPISODES: Exile, Phoenix, Delete, Resurrection and Forsaken
1) Exile:
One of my favorite Clark Kent lines in Exile is this quote: Clark: Thanks. But I'm really not looking for work right now. I like to fly solo. (I think this is an ironic quote, since Clark Kent hasn't learned how to fly, yet).
Lionel: Trust me, it was right here. It disappeared the same day as that ... inexplicable explosion on the Kent farm. The same day that our young friend Clark went into exile. (That quote, too, is ironic, because Lionel Luthor mentions the title of this episode which is "Exile").
Then Chloe Sullivan mentions the word "Exile" to Clark Kent, which is clever, since Chloe always has a way with words and has some of the best Smallville lines: "Chloe: Clark, you were not forced into exile. You ran away from your problems. You are not being noble, you're being a coward!"
The best part of Exile is when Jonathan Kent sacrifices his body and heart to bring his son, Clark back home. So Jonathan Kent has a heart to heart talk with Jor-El:
Jonathan: He wasn't ready! But you, you had to keep pushing him anyway, didn't you? What kind of a race are you people? No wonder you destroyed yourselves. Aaah!
Jor-El: I am Jor-El, the true father of Kal-El.
Jonathan: His name is Clark Kent! I am his father, I raised him.
Jor-El: You have fulfilled your function in Kal-El's destiny.
Jonathan: His destiny is whatever he makes of it.
Jor-El: His destiny is too great for you to comprehend. This was Kal-El's first test to see if he was ready to begin his journey.
Jonathan: He's too young! He needs more time!
Jor-El: This phase of Kal-El's journey is almost complete. It will be of no consequence if he returns to you ... for now.
Jonathan: You'll bring him home?
Jor-El: If you want him, you must retrieve him yourself.
Jonathan: I can't. He's too powerful.
Jor-El: Are you willing to sacrifice anything to get him back?
Jonathan: Yes! For my son I'll do anything.
Jonathan: Aaah! Aaah!
2) Phoenix:
What I liked about Phoenix was the Clark & Jonathan relationship: Clark feels bad for his Dad sacrificing his body to bring Clark back home. Clark tells his Mom that whatever Jor-El did to his Dad, must have been too much for his father's body to handle. Jonathan answers Clark back, "The important thing is that Clark is back home with us now." Clark asks his father Jonathan, "You made a deal with Jor-El, didn't you?" Mr. Kent answers Clark, "Clark, the most important thing right now is that my son has his life back." Clark answers back, "I'm not sure I want it back. And being Kal-El, I could just do whatever I wanted. It was like this huge weight had been lifted off me." Jonathan tells Clark, "Look, I'm not saying that staying is going to solve all your problems, but at least this way we can face it together as a family."
I love the Clark & Chloe relationship. Clark comes into the Torch to say thank you to Chloe. He tells Chloe, "I gave you no reason to stand by me. But you knew where I was all Summer and didn't tell anyone."
Chloe answers Clark back, "Well, that's what friends do for each other, Clark." (Indeed, they are such great friends! One day Chloe even told Clark that he's her BFF, which means Best Friends Forever).
I also liked Clark & Lex's friendship in Phoenix. They hug each other after Clark says, "Lex!" and Lex answers Clark, "Three months on a deserted island was almost worth it to see the look on your face right now." Lex tells Clark about what went on while he was on the island, and Clark tells Lex, "Lex, I guess we all got to take a look at our dark side sooner or later."
Then Lex buys the Kent Farm back, so the Kents won't have to sell their farm. Lex tells Martha & Jonathan Kent that after his plane went down, the compass Jonathan gave Lex as a wedding gift, guided Lex to a safe harbor. Lex: The least I can do is help you keep your farm. Jonathan Kent was very appreciative of Lex and said, "We will find a way to pay you back," and Lex answers, "If it's not too presumptuous, I hope you'll just consider me as part of the family." This was a great episode.
3) Delete:
The thing that I like about Delete is when they mention Chloe's cousin for the first time: Lois Lane. Then Lois Lane comes along during the 4th season of Smallville.
Adam: Remind me again what your school mascot is. Oh... wait, it's a bird.
Lana: Okay, it's a small town. We take our school spirit very seriously.
(What I like about this scene between Adam & Lana is when they show the Crow with a red Superman suit with an "S" on it. This reminds me of Clark Kent a.k.a, Superman. It's Superman in disguise. It's also a good Superman reference. Ha! Ha! I love that scene).
My favorite Chloe Sullivan quote from Delete are these 2 quotes. She always has a way with words:
Chloe: Yeah. I can't believe you got us suspended. Thankfully, Adam was there. Those were some really nice moves. What was that --kung fu, judo?
Adam: I don't know. I guess I've watched too many Jackie Chan movies.
Chloe: Well, who would've thought it would come in handy in the treacherous halls of Smallville High?
I love the Chloe & Clark relationship in delete. This was an excellent script and an excellent scene. This is my second favorite scene from the episode Delete:
Clark: Chloe, you went to Lionel because I pushed you away. It seems to be one of my hidden talents lately.
Chloe: It's not so hidden. You know, I never set out to investigate you, Clark. It just -- it was so flattering that someone like that would be interested in my work.
Clark: It made you feel like you mattered.
Chloe: Yeah. And then Lionel set my dream out right in front of me, and I just... I don't know. I gave into all my worst instincts.
Clark: No, Chloe, he caught you at a weak moment, and we all have them. You found me at mine in Metropolis. You didn't turn your back on me. You gave me a second chance, and I at least owe you the same.
Chloe: I'd like that. So, what do we do now? We can't just forget about everything that's happened.
Clark: Well, you have to understand there are some things about me that'll never add up.
Chloe: I know that.
Clark: Are you willing to stop digging?
Chloe: Yeah. I mean, I figure you'll just... tell me when you think it's right.
(Which is what Clark did during the 5th Season of the Episode Arrival: Told Chloe when he thought it was the right time to tell her).
4) Resurrection:
What I like about Resurrection are the Jonathan & Clark scenes. These are my favorite parts of Resurrection:
1) Jonathan: Hi, Clark. Look, I'm, uh, sorry to hear about your friend Garrett. How's he holding up?
Clark: He's in shock. I guess that's what happens when the most important person in your life is gone. I know about the surgery.
Jonathan: Can you believe it? I'm so popular around here, they want me to be admitted right away.
Clark: So you're gonna do it.
Jonathan: It's not quite that cut and dried, Clark. There must be a way around this.
Clark: No, I heard the doctor. It didn't sound like that.
Jonathan: I thought you and I talked about eavesdropping on people's private conversations.
Clark: If you'd stop trying to protect me from this, I wouldn't have to. Dad, I see Garrett out there, and he's lost. Just like I'd be without you. Please do this.
Jonathan: Clark, I want you to go out there and tell your mother to start filling out all the admissions paper work. Go on.
Jonathan: And Clark? Don't worry about me, son. I'm not going anywhere.
2) Clark: How's Dad doing?
Jonathan: I feel like I'm being prepped for a Thanksgiving dinner, and I'm the turkey.
Clark: You'll have a good scar to brag about.
Martha: Clark, what's happening with Garrett's brother?
Clark: He's going downhill fast, and the doctors, they don't know what to do. But he mentioned this lab in Metropolis. If I could find it, maybe I could figure out what cured him.
Jonathan: You need to go help your friend, Clark.
Clark: No, Dad, I'm not leaving you.
Jonathan: Clark, I'm in very capable hands here, and... honestly, you're not very good at sitting on the sidelines.
Martha: Garrett and Vince need you, Clark.
Clark: Yeah, but--
Jonathan: Son, if there is any chance that you could save your friend's life, then that's what you need to do.
Clark gets very serious, sentimental.
Clark: Dad, I want you to know...
Jonathan: I do know, Clark. And I love you too. Now go on. Help your friend.
3) Jonathan: Hey, Clark, it's all right, son. The doctor says that the worst of this is behind me. Hey, Clark? What's bothering you, son?
Clark: When I went to pick up the vial for Vince, Lex was there. He was talking to one of the scientists. From their conversation, it sounds like Lionel Luthor is behind all of it.
Jonathan: Now, why doesn't that surprise me?
Clark: Dad, when that serum got close to the kryptonite bomb, it reacted the same way as my blood.
Martha: So you're saying the serum...
Clark: I know. It sounds crazy, but I think that Lionel Luthor has found a way to use my blood to bring people back to life.
Clark: If my blood can save lives, maybe I should come forward. What if there's something inside me that can repair dad's heart permanently?
Jonathan: Clark, your mother and I both know that you are gonna save a lot of lives in this world, even more than you have any idea.
Clark: The only life I'm interested in saving is yours.
Jonathan: You do. You save my life every day that you're with us. And we wouldn't trade that for a single moment without you.
5) Forsaken:
1) What I like about Forsaken are the Clark & Pete scripts and scenes. This is the best part of Forsaken: the Pete & Clark relationships, since Forsaken was the last episode for Sam Jones III who plays Pete Ross:
Pete tells Clark that his mom is moving to Wichita and that his Dad is staying in Smallville. Clark tells Pete he's sorry about the divorce. Clark says to Pete, "Pete, you're not losing your family. It's just changing. Trust me, I know how hard it can be when you find out your parents are hiding things from you. So what are you gonna do?" Pete replies to Clark, "I didn't go through 3 years of High School just to miss out on senior year." Clark asks Pete, "Do you ever wish I never told you about me?" Pete answers Clark, "It's rough covering with Chloe and everybody, but the truth is, no one's ever put that much trust in me before."
2) This next favorite scene is the Clark & Martha relationship. I liked the script about them talking about Clark telling Lana his secret:
Clark tells his mom he invited Lana over. Clark tells his mom Martha that he'll tell Lana everything tonight, when Lana comes over to have dinner with Clark. Martha tells Clark that it's a huge burden and a big responsibility. She says, "Look at Pete. It hasn't been easy for him." Clark tell his mom, "I know. Pete has had some close calls. But I'm still glad I told him, and so is he. It's made us better friends." Martha asks Clark if Lana is ready? Clark tells his mom that Lana keeps asking him to be honest with her. Then Martha replies: "I trust you to make your own decision."
3) This is the last scene of Clark & Pete. This was a very emotional scene between 2 best friends:
Clark asks Pete what happened to him. Pete told him an FBI agent went after him asking questions about his best friend Clark Kent. Pete tells Clark that he hasn't told the FBI Clark's secret. Clark says to Pete, "I should have been there." Pete says that Clark can't always be there. Pete tells Clark that Lex knows something about him, because he pulled the Fed off of him (Pete). Pete tells Clark to keep an eye on Lex. Then he says to Clark, "Look out for yourself." Clark says, "Pete. What are you talking about?" Pete tells Clark he's moving to Wichita with his mom. Pete admits to Clark (about his secret), "I know I told you that keeping your secret wasn't hard. But I lied. I walk around every day afraid that I'm gonna slip up." Clark asks Pete,"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Pete: "Because you needed a friend. And so did I. There's a lot of things that I can handle. But I could never live with myself if I ever betrayed you. I'll see you around, Clark." Then they huggrd each other, and that embrace will be unforgettable.

Overall Season Three just like Season Two had some really superb episodes (Exile, Pheonix, Perry and Memoria). Although it did also have some stinkers too (Magnetic, Delete, Foresaken) including Velocity one of the shows worst. Even though the others listed are hardly worth viewing.
Another problem was now the Lana Lang character.
Once they ended the Clana relationship and decided to go against the obvious next step to her finding out Clark's secret and then to eventually have her written out of Clark's life. They decided to place her in uninteresting arcs such as teh Adam Knight arc or to try and re-create the Clana angst of the previous Season. But because we'd seen it all before by now it ended up being less interesting!
Another problem was Pete, who would spend most of the season lurking around in the background, although at least his character had some dignity before being written off! (Although admittingly cheesily)
The rest of the mains though were excellent, espcially Lex and Lionel, who's sparring would peak in the brilliant Memoria, one of the shows greatest acheivements!
Overall I give this season a C+

EXILE
Bad!Clark races around Metropolis on a motorcycle, hangin' out in clubs, flirtin' with random women, robbin' banks, yellin' at Chloe, makin' Lana and his parents cry... Man, it still manages to be an awesome episode.
10/10
PHOENIX
Not QUITE as good as "Exile," but still boasting some major moments, this episode continued to help set the darker tone of the season, with Morgan Edge's FIRST demise, Lionel's fascination with the "alien" blood sample he'd first received from Dr. Bryce, and her subsequent reveal as the one who'd caused Lex's plane crash. We also get hints at his brush with psychosis which will become more prevalent later. And Clark's not even sure whether he'll stay in Smallville (we all know how that'll turn out, though, judging by the title of the show, LOL).
9/10
EXTINCTION
Van McNulty says it's open season on meteor freaks, starting with Lana's latest swimmer fan, "Gill-Boy." Chloe's mortified that her Wall of Weird has been turned into a hit list as she mends fences with Clark, and Pete thinks a hunting cabin "needs some serious Lemon Pledge." Oh, and lead armor, Clark? Way to think ahead (for once).
8/10
SLUMBER
Not a BAD episode, but... *snore* not the most interesting one, either. It begins yet another upswing in the constant Clark-Lana roller coaster that starts to get old this season.
5/10
PERRY
Perry White comes to Smallville, and tries to sniff out Clark's secret when his powers go haywire via a solar flare. Pete even gets to help save both the future editor and the someday Superman! Cool stuff, and an even better guest star.
10/10
RELIC
Okay, so I SERIOUSLY did not need the Jor-El & Louise romp in the hay stuff, but the other flashbacks were WAY cool, and helped reveal some interesting tidbits in the Smallville version of Superman's mythology and lineage.
5/10
MAGNETIC
Seth Nelson: interesting meteor freak? Not really. Lana getting magnetically manipulated into following him and taking the fall for the guy? Not all that great, either. But an AWESOME Chlark ambush-kiss in the Smallville Medical Center file room? Priceless.
7/10
SHATTERED
What can I say about this episode that hasn't already been said? This was INCREDIBLE. Michael Rosenbaum acted his socks off in this episode that continually kept you guessing about whether or not Lex was really going insane, and how much Lionel and Morgan Edge were involved in the whole deal. Plus, you have Lex seeing Clark's secret, and Lana getting trampled by "Meteor the Stompy Horse" as we called it back in ye olden days on the boards, and you have one incredible episode before the first mid-season break.
10/10
ASYLUM
It doesn't quite live up to the expectations of "Shattered," but it still has its share of nice moments, especially considering it brings back THREE old FOTWs (well, one is a FOTW-killer, but still...). Lex shows that he'd protect Clark's secret (at least right now), but Lionel wipes it from his brain with electroshock therapy. Ouch! Oh, and some random dude named Adam Knight is introduced. The plot thickens...
8/10
WHISPER
Clark gets blinded when his heat vision hits a piece of kryptonite jewelry (I kid you not). However, it ends up leading to a cool plot involving temporary blindness, Pete getting something to do (even if it is being kidnapped and nearly squashed in a car-compactor), Clark wearing glasses (for a single scene), his learning about Chloe's deal with Lionel (Chloe, you got some 'splainin' to do!), and more.
8/10
DELETE
Clark tries to mow Chloe down with his truck. Lana gets into an axe-wielding brawl with her in the "treacherous halls of Smallville High." Martha and Jonathan Kent go tag-team on her with a scythe and chains respectively. And all this because of her research into Summerholt being frowned upon by one Molly Griggs, cyber-assassin! Plus, Adam Knight's plotline becomes continually more intriguing, and the Talon apartment gets its first tenant. I enjoyed this episode because of its Chloe-centric nature, and the fact that she and Clark finally got back on the same page and forgave each other by episode's end.
9/10
HEREAFTER
I always enjoy episodes with good-natured, likable FOTWs, and Jordan Cross, "Death-Vision-Boy," is no exception. Clark helps him come to terms with his abilities while they last, and Jordan shows his own heroic side as he saves the cheerleader (though not the world).
8/10
VELOCITY
Pete Ross... drag racer. 'Nuff said? I think so. This clunker of an episode needs to go back to the scrap heap where it belongs. Pete deserves character development, but not like this.
3/10
OBSESSION
Clark thinks he's found a kindred spirit in the teleporting Alicia Baker, but her jealousy turns her into a figurative green-eyed monster who tries to slice 'n dice Lana. I didn't really like Miss Baker in her first appearance... douse her with lead paint again, Clark!
2/10
RESURRECTION
So, a kid threatens to blow up the hospital with a Kryptonite bomb if his undead brother doesn't get Jonathan Kent's liver. Huh? Oh, and Adam Knight kills another Luthorcorp scientist and her colleagues.
1/10
CRISIS
Lana's dead! But not if Clark Kent can unravel her phone call from... the future! This was a cool plot device, and I liked the way the story was structured, and it was a fairly good sendoff for Adam Knight, who went after her because he was so desperate for the blood platelet serum that had been keeping him alive. Don't worry, Ian Somerhalder, you'll end up with a bigger role on "Lost"... for a single season, anyway.
8/10
LEGACY
While this can't live up to the greatness of "Rosetta," it is fun to see Virgil Swann again, and view his verbal sparring match with Lionel Luthor. And what happened to the key in the Jonathan-Lionel smackdown? *gasp* Dr. Swann has it? It's just so sad that Christopher Reeve passed away soon after this. He was such a great addition to the Smallville mythos, along with all the other incredible things he did.
9/10
TRUTH
Chloe breaks into Luthorcorp because she wants to get to the truth -- little does she know that she'll get doused with a Krypto-spray that'll make her a walking truth serum, able to get anyone (human, anyway) to answer her questions, including one to Lionel that proves his guilt in his parents' murder. Pretty nifty Chloe-centric episode.
8/10
MEMORIA
Lex's flashbacks to what really happened with his mother, Lionel, and Julian are heartbreaking. Plus, Dr. Garner finally gets what he deserves, and we see Jor-El and Lara's hands as they send baby Kal-El to Earth in Clark's flashback. Major coolness!
8/10
TALISMAN
Jeremiah Holdsclaw thinks he's Naman. Either Lex or Lionel will prove to be Sageeth. Cool Smallville mythos stuff lends this episode to being PRETTY good, though not great.
6/10
FORSAKEN
Emily Dinsmore's clone has super-sized herself into a teenager who can now walk through walls! She's not as cool as Kitty Pryde, though, as she uses her abilities simply to murder a taco restauranteur and her father, and trap Lana in a glass box to prevent her from leaving Smallville. Eh.
5/10
COVENANT - I liked this episode more than most, I think, predominantly because the ending was so shocking, with Clark pulled into the void after his "cousin Kara" was vaporized by Jor-El (even though she was just a convenient super-charged human), a cryptic symbol burned into the field, Jonathan comatose, Lana flying off to Paris, and Chloe and Lex seemingly murdered by a vengeful Lionel once he finds himself in jail and gets his head-shaved. Wickedly cool stuff.

I really LOVED Season 3. Even though it was darker than its predecessors, this season did the best so far at creating intriguing ongoing storylines that carried over substantial arcs. Chloe had some of her best episodes yet, and she finally mended fences with Clark and moved on to just enjoying their friendship, which was nice after all the angst of Season 2 (even though my Chlarker heart continued to yearn for something more). Poor Pete... he really got the shaft this season, and it's sad that it was his last, but he really didn't add much thanks to the few, far-between, and far-fetched storylines TPTB gave him. Adam Knight was intriguing, but I think people were bored with him by the time his storyline was done. I was also tired of how Lana and Clark's relationship was getting handled -- the roller-coaster ride was already grating on me by this point. Still, the stuff with the Luthors was INCREDIBLE. All in all, this was a very solid, fun, interesting, and mysterious season that left me clamoring for more!
A-, to be sure!

I score this season 7/10
Some of Smallville's best episodes are in this 3rd season IMO, and they are Exile, Shattered, Memoria & Covenant.
Right now I'm reviewing all of the seasons of SV and season 3 is by far the best one!

To much depressing and dark storylines for my taste with a few great episodes. The official start of forced drama on the show. Probably the only season the 2nd half is better then the first
