I want to have smallville personal checks with just TW in several poses on the fronts without the title of the show. that would be so cool. More smallville shirts would be awesome... don't particularly like the smallville athletics ones. A tin trash can would be awesome too... what would you like to see in the way of Smallville merchandise?

i highly doubt that tom would be intrested in having his pictures on peoples personal checks.
well, i wouldn't mind if they made official replicas of the ship key or maybe lana's necklace. more t-shirts with maybe some of the cast would be cool. i know nbc has cast t-shirts for practically every show they air. for those who are in school, how about smallville notebooks. i've seen lunchboxes.

I wouldn't mind seeing a replica of Joe/Jor-el's necklace from Relic. (Don't they already have a really cheap plastic version of Lana's?)

While not neccessarily a Smallville product. I'd really like them to bring back those Superman pajamas with the footies on them. I out grew my other pair about 17 years ago and have yet to find new ones.
I do like the smallville key idea. I think they should also release a Clark Kent flanel line.

03-25-2004, 06:57 PM
Or a Lana Lang Pink line... ew, I wouldn't even go near that.
Um...I'd like to see a full-scale replica of the spaceship complete with key and heart, folding capabilities, weakness to lightning, and hologram generators. Short of that, I'd settle for one the same size.

the plastic lana necklace comes with the doll but i was thinking they could make some which was a bit more realistic and not made of plastic. the red-k ring would nice also.

I want more action figures!!! Whitney, with exploding truck! Chloe, with awful S1 pants-under-dresses outfits! Pete, with fist-pumping, "Remy Zero!" action! Lana, with ninja action! All we have is a crappy, non-moveable Clark, Lex, and Lana (in a cheerleader outfit even though she quit like RIGHTAWAY). Grr.

The various peices of jewlery worn in smallville that are worn by major characters from episodes (I remember some of the FOTWs had stuff). A necklace of the symbol that was carved onto Clark would be kind of cool. I definetly want them to make Lana's necklace, and Jor-el's that would be quite the coolness.

This is the list of things that has to be; and will buy if they do come out:
1. Scale replica of Spaship, with key hole (the hole has to be in there) the key can be apart somewhere else. And has to have some sort of lights efects from inside or underneath or somewere, and it also has to open! (even if it doesn't have anything inside)
2. Real replica of the key, with marking and everything, and in METAL of course, and with Certificate of Autentification
3. Real stone/metal necklase of Lana's and Jor-El's with its certificate of autentification
4. Lead Box that Lex had Lana's necklase in, in fact this one must be in number 3 with the necklase.... and Jor-El's necklase can be in something that simulates the caves.
5. Scale model of the Caves, with all the paitings
6. Kryptonite key, Lionel made and kryptonite bricks
7. and who can forget, Clark's Blood! :D
For the cloth...go to any store and I think you will find the exact thing or something that look like it!
also any of the exploding Trucks they destroy almost in every episode, and a sclale model replica of S1 Lex Proshe destroyed
ohh and before I go I would also like a copy of the newpaper that had WonderWoman's headlines!:rotfl:

Well, I've been looking at this thread for a couple days(?) now i decided to do some digging. On Ebay, in some local stores, and at the mall, until they threw me my shovel, and my pickaxe out of the stores. Alright so i wasn't literally digging...but i was "digging." I found a few things that may interest you, may not:
-- Actualy metal replica of Joe/Jor-El's pendant
-- Replica of Lana's necklace (decent quality one; not the one that comes with the action figure)
-- A place where you can buy Smallville rings, ranging from one that just says "Smallville" on it, to a LuthorCorp ring, and for even more money you can get a ring made to look like the red k ring
-- Lionel and Lex LuthorCorp business cards, that someone professionally made. Oh yeah, even a Clark one, that says he works on the Kent farm
-- Smallville/Superman shirts- course y'all know about the athletic department ones, but i found some more. Theres on thats black with "Krytonite" written across the chest in green, shirts with Supes shield, and even Bizarro's shield (backwards S). Oh yes, and my particular favorite, a button down shirt that says "Smallville" on one of the sleeves, has a "Lex" name patch over the left pocket and a LuthorCorp patch over the other.
-- A (90's?) unauthorized biography of Lex Luthor
-- some guy selling chunks of "kryptonite" (that really to me looked kinda like some spraypainted green chunk of rock)
-- Smallville trading cards
I'll add more as i find them...

I also would like to see the spaceship key and pendant in metal as a licensed piece. I would like to see the class ring made available from Jostens ( who originally made the ones for the show), and also have them bring back the varsity jackets for sale. I would like to see some Luthor Corp materials that are shown also in licensed pieces such as the business cards and corparate materials and the green spaceship key.
Yes, many of these things can be found bootlegged right now, but I would rather buy a collectable that keeps in value due to the licensing of the piece. But I want an accurate replica, not a cheap inaccurate plastic copy.

tomwellingfanatic636
04-02-2004, 09:00 PM
the problem is that the Smallville fanatics, such as ourselves, make up a very small percent of the buying public and mass-producing certain props, while it would be incredibly awesome for us, is not going to be a financially secure investment for the smallville francise.
No, i think that unless smallville someday reaches the fandom of shows like "Buffy" whose fans seemed to be nearly all "fanatics," smallville merchandise will remain hard to come by and without a very large selection.

Hello, I am new to the board... I would love to see more of the props from the show. I have bought some stuff at eBay, but it would be cool to get more licensed products. I would love a licensed ring, pendant, Jor-El medallion, ship, ship key, kryptonite rocks, crows jacket, or pretty much anything since I am a die hard SV Fanatic!
I do have my own Jor-El medallion and even looked into getting the ones I have for sale licensed, but theWB wasn't interested. Just like someone stated above, there is still not enough of a market. Oh well. I will keep trying! Take Care All.

Actually, at one point with the merchandising of the Star Wars movies, they had a Burger King or McDonald's toy that was a plastic 2 1/2" Millenium Falcon spaceship with a magnet inside, that would float in space between and upper and lower arm of a holder bracket, also with magnets. As long as you didn't jar it too much, the space ship would really hover, suspended on the magnetic field.
I would love to see the Krypton spaceship hover like that -- and, being plastic, it wouldn't have to be expensive.

considering what letterman jackets normally go for, that's not a bad price. I remember in high school, my friends bought them and they ranged from $300-500, depending on how glammed up you wanted them.
In this case, it looks like only a certain size person will be wearing them, as they only have "medium."

Am I the only one upset about this? Where are all the Smallville toys? Sure they gave us 3 back in, what? 2002? That was three years ago! Smallville is the highest rated show on the WB and one on the most popular shows on television today! A series that well deserves a toy line. And my question is, why haven't they extended the series of toys?
They gave us a Clark, a Lana, and a Lex but what happened to the others? Sounds like someone dropped the ball.
If they need ideas...
SERIES 1 (The ones released back in 2002)
Clark
Lana
Lex
SERIES 2
Pete
Chloe
Martha
Jonathan
SERIES 3
Lionel
Lois
Whitney
Jason
SERIES 4
Clark (Red Jacket)
Clark (Blue Jacket)
Lana (After Paris)
Kal-El
SERIES 5
Alexander (With Kryptonite Ring)
Red K Clark
Alicia Baker
Prison Lionel
SERIES 6
Lana (as Isobel)
Chloe (as Madelyn)
Lois (as Brianna)
SERIES 7
Lucas Luthor
Sheriff Adams
Perry White
Morgan Edge
SERIES 8
Belle Reve Lex
Adam Knight
Football Clark
Bart Allen
If they ever made anymore toys I highly doubt that they would make this many! But if they did I would buy everyone of them! Hell, I would buy a Nell toy or a Dominic toy, I would even buy the Roger Nixon toy!
They could make statues too like a Bullet time Clark, Clark running, and famous scenes from the show like Clark catching the car in Pariah, Clark leaping into the air in Crusade, the possibilities are endless!
So, if anyone who has any connections at DC Direct or where ever or if the suits in charge are reading this, *HINT* *HINT*
neo_nate
02-03-2006, 10:35 PM
Honestly those figures didn't sell when they were out. those 3 that were realesed was really stretching it too, a Jonathan and Martha figure would just be stupid, what accessories would they come with, a pitch fork and a bale of hay for jonathan and a plate of cookies and knitting needles for Martha.
No, I don't think that would work.
Clark Kent 86
02-03-2006, 10:41 PM
What about Angel? Buffy? These lines of toys are just dumb! Both shows are over and done with and yet they keep churning out more toys! I think that a Smallville line of toys would do well if they put a little thought into it.
They would sell because I'm sure that I'm not the only Smallville fanatic that would buy these toys!
dsv100
02-04-2006, 01:38 AM
neo nate has a good point: Lex, Lana, and Clark, who headline the show, sat on stores' action-figure pegs for ages. And they were made in only limited quantity to begin with, so it's not like DC Direct kept flooding the market with those 3 figures. It's just that the audience for "Smallville" doesn't have a huge overlap with the customer base for DC Direct action figures.
And if DC Direct isn't going to sell many Smallville figures, but the sales numbers do look good for their Superman- and Batman-related toys, then they're going to put money into toylines that make money instead of one that doesn't.
"What about Angel? Buffy?" Well, what about them? They have different audiences, with different overlap into the action-figure-buyer market.

Its no big deal. It was only a couple hours worth of work. It is a pretty basic shape.
The big full size one on the other hand is gonna be a whole other thing. It will probably take atleast two weeks to make. Im contemplating long and hard over wether it is worth it. I've made it my aim to collect as many of the collectables that I can, although I'd have to draw the line at getting a replica of the cave wall or a full size ship, we have barely enough room as it is!
Only problem is that being in the UK it's hard to get hold of anything!
I've found one guy who makes replicas over here, he sells a lot on ebay, and one guy in the US who is currently selling replicas of the stones of knowledge!

i would like to see them make a smallville video game for ps2... u can be any character... u choose if the path u want... if u wanna end up like lex.. or clark... umm... a story line but not that crappy 12 missions thingy where u can't wonder off.. but also is u dont wanna do a story mood u can just wonder off and live your characters life.. like lets say your Lex and Clark invites you to his house and when clark leaves you Dig through his stuff to try to find the Truth... so that leads you to another storyline where maybe the next day clark finds out and doesn't want to be friends anymore... u no what i mean?

Maybe they could make the game follow the course of the series. Like in the game you could do things that they did on the show and when they mentioned things that they didn't do on the show is something you do in the game.

Hi.
I did a search but was unable to find anything devoted to the novels. If this is a double thread, please point me in the right direction and then delete this thread.
The novels cost about 20 bucks each where I live. So I'd like to ask if they are any good? If so, which ones do you recomend?
Cheers. Bongo.

The adult novels are definately worth buying. My favourite out of those is "Whodunnit", and I believe I enjoyed "City" a lot as well. The teen novels are ok too, but are too short to really pack in a great story.

Some of the longer fan fic on this site are great reading material also.
Back to your question though. I've heard a few Smallville story books were disappointing. Just think about how many episode writers there are that sometimes mess up an episode or three, and imagine that going to the novels where it's probably an entirely different team doing it.
There may be a good book though..if someone knows, maybe they can suggest it here.
You probably can find a few at your local library also without paying.

City is probably the best of the Smallville novels. It was written by Devin Grayson who actually writes for DC (Nightwing, etc. and has even written Superman).
$20 is a lot for a paperback have you tried looking for them on the internet? I ordered City from half.com for 75 cents (ok, plus 3 bucks shipping and handling).
I have never seen any of the Smallville books at the library though. If you have them at your local library you are lucky!

The SV novels are pretty good. Because in a way they go into more detail about Clark being an alien. I like the one titled "City"
and where i live they only cost $6.99

I read one. It was freaking ridiculous. It was called "secrets" I think. It was horribly written. I was laughing through most of it because either she(the writer) was messing up with his powers, and did a horrible job with the character personalities.
are the other ones better? the only one i was able to get a hold of was the one i read because it's the only one you can rent from the library, and i really don't want to buy them, especially if they are all like that.

Yea. A Smalville video game would be awsome. But they have to make it like grand theft auto where if you dont want to do missions you can just explore the town and randomly use your powers.

I just received some terrible news regarding the Smallville Companions. I emailed Titan Books a few days ago regarding the companions and this was the response I got.
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your email regarding Smallville. Unfortunately, Titan Books will not be publishing any further volumes of this series in the near future. Please check titanbooks.com for updates on this and all our Film & TV titles. Titan Magazines will continue to publish the official Smallville magazine.

I've got good news regarding future volumes of the Smallville Compaions.
I was over at Amazon and I came across the Fourth Volume!!! It caught me totally by suprise especially since I was told by a Titan Books rep that they weren't going to be making anymore. More good news is that its written by Kryptonsite's own Craig Byrne! Thanks Craig for extending this book series! Maybe now you can bring back the Smallville novels?
According to Amazon it is to be released on September 4, 2007 so we will have to wait a few months.

So they said there were going to be Smallville action figures made? Clark, Green Arrow, Impulse, Cyborg and Aquaman? Is it true? If it is that would be cool, but they're not making the rest. Just the Justice League. Ahh. because I kind of wanted to have a whole Metropolis set and Kent farm set with Lex and Lana, then I can play Smallville. Oh and the Fortress. too.
If I had Lex and Lana figures, I could play the romance scenes. Well I really mean when Lana always acts skeaky and hidey from Lex. And then I can play with Lana and Clark at the barn.
Lana: Hi Clark. I got your message. What is it?
Clark: no answer.
Lana: Look I really don't have time. What do you want?
Clark: Something that I should have done a long time ago...
jumps and steps on Lana, bang bang bang. Heat-vision power! Super-strength!
Lana: Ow Clark! You're hurting me!
Anywho. I hope Green Arrow comes with all his gadgets and arrows. It would be cool to take off their masks and transform back into their secret identities, but I still want a Lex Luthor action figure so I can play Clark vs. Lex dammit.

AC doesn't have any problem but Bart looks like ET and Cyborg looks like Lex. They shouldn't have brushed Clark's hair. The toy would look more like him if he had his hair down to his eye brows. I think it looked better when they only had one color. HA HA.
xrayvision

I think AC/Aquaman looks the best out of all of them. Will they make ones of Lex? IMO, they should make at least some of these:
Lionel (with the kryptonite octagonal key)
Lex
Clark w/black leather jacket
Clark from Exile/Red w/ red-k ring
Clark as Kal-El (from Crusade)
Lana
Lana as Isobel
Chloe
Martha
Jonathan
Pete
Lois
Milton Fine
Bizarro
Lucas
Jason & Genevieve Teague
Lex as Zod (w/ trenchcoat, black box, & PZ bracelet)
Aethyr & Nam-Ek set
Martian Manhunter
Titan
Jimmy Olsen
Mikail Mxylptlk
One of the Sheriffs (Ethan, Adams, etc)
Jeremiah (from Talisman)
Kyla
Dr. Hamilton (the octagonal key that he found)
Dr. Walden
Raya
Morgan Edge
Roger Nixon (w/ camera)
Alicia
Whitney
Ryan James
Dr. Helen Bryce
Dr. Teng (w/ vial of blood platelet serum)
Joseph Willowbrook
Dr. Swann
Ian Randall (both of him)
Eric Summers
Shelby
Mr. Stompy
Lee & the Twins (from Mortal)
Wade Mahaney, Derek Fox, and Scott Bowman (from Kinetic)
Detective Phelan (from Rogue)
Max Kasich & Jude Royce (from Zero)
Aunt Nell
Gabe Sullivan
Vehicles:
Clark's ship
Brainiac black ship
Kent farm trucks
Luthorcorp helicopter
Lex's Porsche, Ferrari & other sportscars
Chloe's VW Bug
Pete's Camaro (either the red one from Suspect or the blue one from Rush)
Lana's SUV (one of the endless supply she's destroyed)
Lionel's limo
Ideas for Playsets:
-Luthor Mansion
-Belle Reve
-The caves
-The FOS
-Luthorcorp (probably too big) or at least Lionel's office
-Daily Planet (probably too big) or at least the basement
-The Kent barn
-The Kent house
-Smallville Luthorcorp plant (w/ level 3)
-33.1 Facility
-Ollie's clocktower
-Torch
-Talon

Main complaints:
Clark's hair and frown.
Bart's face and frown.
The rest of them look like not-so-frowny versions of the actual actors/characters.

Chloe was at the watchtower, doing coordination among the heroes via radio. When they said, like "Impulse to Watchtower, come in," or whatever, they weren't calling Chloe "Watchtower." They were using standard radio lingo, short for: "I am Impulse, this message is intended to go to the Watchtower, come in."
And I wouldn't expect a Chloe figure for this assortment anyway. These are action figures of the characters who went into action. Chloe didn't. A Lex figure would have made more sense as a bad guy for them to fight than Chloe would.

^^Right on. I like Chloe, but I think she was completely out of her element in Justice (or should I say in terrirtory she shouldn't have been in).
If they make a figure, I would love them to make one of her from Truth in her "intruder" attire from the beginning of that episode.

Comic book stores are really the place you need to go if you want to find these or any other DC Direct toys. I'm not sure that everyone here is aware of it, but this is a brand that is not distributed through mainstream channels like Hasbro or Mattel toys, so these Smallville figures won't be sold at mainstream retailers that have toys. Comic stores, online retailers, and some music stores you may have in your nearest mall are pretty much the only places they'll be.
The upside to this distribution system is this: other brands of toys will go on sale in different parts of the country at different times. There's no "release date" on which you can count on seeing any given mainstream figure in stores. But with DC Direct figures, if they're slated to go on sale on a certain day, you can count on finding them in your local comic store on that day, just like you can with books, comics, CDs, and DVDs. (Although it's best to check with the store first and make sure they even carry DCD toys.)

I mean, they look and feel real, but obviously have no gun powder inside.

Hmm, I guess some States don't want their Superheroes killed:\
That new Shield is cool! It is the Kryptonian SOS Clark is holding at the end of "Fierce". Wonder if it will be a Pendant.

I bought the steel octagon key, I loved it. So I bought the kryptonite octagon key and it was plastic, stinks.
The steel octagon key was worth every penny, very solid. Very well crafted.
The green plastic key was terrible.
i havent got the latest kryptonite key mine is one of his early versions before he stayed with the current one

What did the early "key" look like? Was that before he was officially licensed by WB.
I would like to get "Raya's Crystal", the Phantom killer, but it's Acrylic. Isn't that just fancy plastic? Very pricey for plastic. It does look cool, though.
I love the pewter artifacts, I got the Kryptonian Hope symbol necklace. Love it! Its octagon like the key, with the symbol engraved on it. It's abit bigger that a quarter and is for both guys and girls:)
What did the early "key" look like? Was that before he was officially licensed by WB.
the early one was i lot better it was green green not like this one
yeah it was before he got licenced

I would absolutely love a Smallville female action figure line with figures for Kara, Chloe, Lois, and Lana. These would be great treasures to add to any Smallville and/or Superman collection. :D

I would, because you'd probably have two sets bought before I got a chance to decide one way or another. ;) All joking aside, I'd definitely buy them. I think it's a great idea that's been a long time coming.

If this poll were rephrased to say "Would you consider purchasing a Smallville female action figure line," then I'd vote yes. The question princess_kara actually asks is one I cannot answer as a consumer who tries to make reasonably well-informed buying decisions. What would the toys look like? Would they stand up by themselves? How much would they cost?

Have you seen the Smallville action figure lines that already exist? Just like those, only for the females. That's why she didn't include that info. She's assuming you know about the existing lines, their quality, and prices.
They are all over six inches tall, come with stands, and depending on where you get them can range from 14.99 to 18.99 each. The latter is what I payed for the original set of Lex, Clark, and Lana.
These are not toys (well, technically they are, but not to us), they are collectable action figures from dc direct.

I´ve got a "Smallville" novel. It´s actually really good. The story centers around a student who can stop time with an hourglass, and who then terrorizes people from foreign countries. It also has a lot about Lana and her tape, which she made for Whitney, in it and how she struggles on telling Clark her true feelings...

I suggest you check out the KryptonSite forum entitled "Superman in Other Media". The third listing is "Superman Comics, Animated Series and More" There's information on novels as well as other media for the characters in the Superman mythos.
On the second page you'll find a thread on the book "The Last Days of Krypton" by Kevin J Anderson. Several people have read it and post info on it. I think this entire thread could be transfered there so others can find this info. I didn't know about Smallville novels until I happened across your thread. Thanks for the info.

I've read all of them (the adult and the young adult) novels. If you don't have time to read them all, I highly suggest that you at least read two of them (both the "adult" novels):
City and Whodunnit. In City, Clark and Lex spend some time together in Metropolis (they stay in Lex's penthouse). In Whodunnit, someone kidnaps Lionel and Lex and Clark have to find him.

Kara, Chloe, Lois, and Lana would be perfect to add to any Smallville collection. I think it would be great to have Kara in her first earthly outfit, the one she was wearing on the Smallville water tower. Chloe would look stunning in the Daily Planet outfit she wore, a purple satin blouse and black skirt. I would love to see Lois' figure with her hair down, a lightly colored top with a darker color jacket, jeans, and her signature stylish belt. Lana's outfit would look good if it replicated the one she wore in the episode Persona.

Who cares about what other people think as long as you get something you enjoy, that is all that matters. They really would not be considered dolls, they would be technically called collectibles. Most people have some sort of hobbies whether its collecting baseball cards, or a magazine subscriptions. I love to collect Smallville DVDs, action figures, and replicas. All these things make me extremely happy. Some of my friends do not understand, but it doesn't matter to me how they feel about my hobbies. I don't make fun of them or any one else about what they like to do in their spare time. The people that do make fun of others are basically insecure about themselves.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know where to write to get a signed autograph of any or of the cast? Or can this be done?
Any help would be grateful :)

you could probably find the fanmail adress online or you could contact the Smallville magazine and ask them in the Q and A section, I have a Smallville magazine somewhere and it has all the cast addresses in it, I actually wrote Tom and asked for an autograph but I never got a response

You can find authentic autographs on ebay. I have purchased many autographs on ebay, but two that I can think of that I trust completely are gmauthenticautos, and autographworldllc. autographworldllc also has a website, www.autographworld.com (http://www.autographworld.com) and I have seen them sell Erica Durance, Laura Vandervoort, Michael Rosenbaum, and John Glover. They sometimes have pictures of the cast member signing the photos that can also be purchased. I have even seen them post a video of Laura signing the photos. I have autographs from all of the main cast of SV except Aaron Ashmore. I have a Laura vandervoort signed Stuff magazine, Kristin Kreuk signed 8x10 ( I wouldn't buy anything signed by her on ebay, because her signature can VERY easily be forged), Tom Welling signed "save the cave" button, a "Welcome to Smallville" postcard signed by Tom and John Glover, Erica Durance signed 8x10, Michael Rosenbaum signed 8x10, and a my favorite: "Reckoning" Script signed by the entire cast. I won 4 of them in a charity auction where the items that were auctioned off were given to the charity by John Glover.
