Anybody else think Backstory wise Andrea was Smallville's Female Vesion of Batman.
i know then that would make her batgir.l but did batgirl lose her Parents?

batgirl was Commishoner Gordon's Daughter... so she'd only have lost her mother if anything.

But, I don't think she's really a female batman... because batman wasn't the sort to murder someone in cold blood... so it's a bit of a violation in the comparison.

Batman also used toys to get those results... I personally thought she was a bit closer to Black Canary.... though again the powers aren't right.

I thought it had lots of Batman overtones and even thought I heard a Batman theme being played there. Definitely could be mistaken on the latter though.

The only time Batman has killed was pre-crisis, and that no longer counts.

In Burtons movies he killed, and as much as I enjoy Burtons movies, he got the character of Batman all wrong.

no she was definitely a unique character of her own...

also she explained she was given the powers through a transplant of a heart affected by kryptonite. Nothing of background from Batgirl or any other DC character...

Well, I still felt a Batman influence immediately....and a bit of jealousy from my dear Chloe over Andrea's talents!

In the comics and original series she was commisioner Gordon's daughter. However, in the movie she was Alfred's niece. Can't recall what had happened to her parents in the movie though or even if they said.
