I know this show is not real but ever since last week I can't get this show off my mind. I hope im not the only wierdo. It might be due to the fact that I never really had a good relation with my father and clark and johnathon did. And to lose someone your that close with would be alot to cope with.
P.S. if anyone has the same feeling post it up
Note from the mods: This thread is not and has never been actionable. People should stop reporting it immediately. It's only a spoiler until one week after it's aired, and it's been weeks. Thanks. - P.

You are not alone. I have a hard time getting the show out of my mind. I live for Thursdays. My father died when I was about Clark's age. I know this is only a TV show, but I can really relate. I actually feel like I am grieving a little too. O' well, what can I say, I am truly addicted to Smallville. And loving every minute of it.

The moments in the falling snow and quietness during the funeral was so intense. I was deeply moved and cried. I too feel the loss.

I knew it was coming, but it still hits hard. Just because they're characters doesn't mean they can't affect you.
I've gotten teary-eyed on a couple of occasions since last week.

jonathans death on the show made me cry.
last weeks episode also made me want to cry at the end.
it was an awesome way to show jonathan in the show even if it was in a home movie.

I know unsolicited advice is best ungiven but don't wait too long to resolve your issues with your parent. I did and trust me it's really hard to resolve things with your parent when they're dead.

i thought it was the best ending too!
about the always on my mind thing, of course! i am constantly thinking about smallville, but see the thing is, that k-site is the only was i would survive. all my friends and family could care less about smallville, actually, most of them hate it. so, if i start to talk about it, they mostly tell me to shut up cause im annoying them. so, i have to tell (or type) to people here on k-site and other websites to get it out of my system. or, im pretty sure ill go crazy. i almost did one weekend when i could get on the computer. but, i still love always thinking about smallville!

Me too!
I could post how obsessed I am but
a) I would have to post it in 3 parts!!!
and
b) I am too busy here on Ksite and with my other Smallville related connections to do that.
Of course if ya want proof my Smallville rating of obsession. Sorry "passion" as RedPhoenix23 would say.

i think of smallville all the time. when i am going to school i am always listening to the talon or metropolis mix, then when i get to school, i go to the computer lab and come right here to the kryptonsite forums, then i write in kryptonian all over my binder and planner and draw superman symbols everywhere. then i go aroud asking if anyone watches smallville. it stinks because i had a friend who was also into smallville and we spent most of class talking about our own theories on future episodes, but then he moved and now i have no friends to talk to about smallville, except for my sister and she is pretty cool.(wow, i am a very nerdy guy! he he he)
anyway when i get home from school i usually come back onto the forums for a while until my mom tells me to get off of the computer

Just an added note to this... Sometimes you just don't have that choice. I have an estranged relationship with my father as well but because he nearly destroyed my family and doesn't really care about us. Personally, you can try to resolve things, but it's a two way street and sometimes no matter how much a child may want to find peace with their parent, the parent may not be ready or may not care...
I was amazed by Smallville. I saw the last 3 episodes last night for the first time (I was overseas in India) and watching everything was amazing. Clark's truthfulness, Lana's death, Jonathan's death... Clark's reaction. No break, nothing. All in one shot. My heart was pounding madly the whole time and even though I was torn up by JK's death, I knew it had to happen for Clark to continue on his path. Things change, that's the very nature of life, nothing stays the same. And really, I think the show is reflecting that well... You get mad and you get upset, but that's what happens when you lose someone you care for, even if they are fictional I suppose... (When I was a kid and read Superman died, I was choked up for weeks...)

I know exactly what you mean! Somedays SV is honestly all I think about. Well....usually the day its on or the day after. Reckoning was really moving, and it brought me to tears.... as have some other eps. And Superdub, I've had some SV related dreams too...usually after watching an ep. before going to bed. I think I'm nearing obsession, but it's such a good show, with such good morals and its easy to relate to..... minus being an alien living in a town of meteor infected people, of course.

My SV obsession led me to make MP3s out of the episodes so I could listen to them on my daily walk. Not the whole episode, but usually 4-7 scenes out of each episode. So those scenes I know very well and of course I can name the episode that each scene comes from.

Okay YOU asked me for it. If everyone dies of amazement it's YOUR fault!
I am Smallville Obssessed!
I love Smallville because the show is earth shattering the only thing I have on my mind is Smallville!
Here's my proof!
I know of over 1000 different Smallville websites.
I have every episode memorized, quoted and studied.
I have even written my own Smallville scenes and sent them to Warner Bros.
I have all of the Smallville novels (The Smallville Series and young adult Smallville series) and comic books and I hope to get some more very soon.
I have all the Smallville seasons on the DVD box sets and the first episode DVD.
I have all the episodes of Smallville taped on VHS of all five Seasons.
I know the episodes so well that when I look at the screen I can watch Smallville when it isn't even on.
I have officially rearranged my room to be exactly identical to Clark’s room.
I own and wear clothes that look like Lana’s or I wear red and blue all the time with my cap with the superman logo on it. I love wearing flaid and flannel.
I live in a Smallville farming town that looks like an exact replica of Smallville, maybe even the model for Smallville! It's a couple of hours away from the big city and it's got everything from the attractive farm boys to the mysterious happenings and fertilizer plant!
I have three pairs of Superman underwear: a blue, one a red one and a yellow one and all them have the Superman logo on it!
I have the Clark, Lana and Lex action figures and the Smallville calendars.
I am reading the books everyday and collecting music that Clark likes.
I have ten different Superman t-shirt and one Supergirl t-shirt.
I own tons of Smallville trading cards.
I have more than 80 Smallville wallpapers for myself and Smallville music videos too.
I have 5 promotional posters of Smallville.
I have so much Smallville on my walls that it literally looks like Smallville wallpaper.
I chat all the time in KryptonSite's Smallville chat room and I write Smallville fanfics.
I have names for my future kids: Clark, Lana and (Alexander) Lex.
I get into so much trouble at home for talking about it all the time and trying to relate everything to Smallville.
I have bought Smallville everything! Down to the pens, books and backpacks.
I was kissing my ex boyfriend David and he said “I love you”, I was so floored I said “I love you too Clark!”. I’m completely serious!
I have very special connections with both the WB headquarters in New York and the Smallville cast/crew in Vancouver, that's how I know what's gonna happen.
I get preview screenings of the episode. I send them feedback and they do what they want with it. Sometimes it affects an episode but a lot of the time it doesn't.
Besides part of the contract I signed that allows me to have preview screenings, included a vow of silence concerning certain forbidden topics or details. I usually get a call and I'm told what I'm not allowed to say.
I am allowed to drop hints, spoilers, spread news and raise publicity.
Exactly how I got my connections will have to remain a Clark Kent style secret.
I got the Lana's tattoo on my back, in the same place too!
I constantly go to many of the Smallville websites, my favourite being KryptonSite.
I talk to all my friends about it and they don’t even watch the show so they have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about.
I download and now have every song that was played on Smallville.
I have the original version of the pilot with that Cynthia Ettinger, or whatever her name is.
I made my own replica of the key, it’s made of steel.
I got most of my family, including cousins and everything, hooked on Smallville.
I got the Smallville yearbooks.
If I don’t watch (or god help the world miss) an episode of Smallville, I go absolute berserk, insane and angry.
I breathe and live Smallville, I use Smallville quotes everyday and everywhere I possibly can.
I know the names of more people in Smallville High and Smallville than I do in my school and town.
I know the characters so well that I feel like I know them and they are people I can rely on to be there.
I watch their lives unfolding and it's beautiful because although they usually have a FOTW once in a while, they touch on real morals, feeling and thoughts, they say things that most of us are too afraid to say and I admired them for their courage to fight their demons head on and say what they feel.
But personally in my own opinion the character I most relate with is Clark even though I am a girl. Clark is a person doesn't know who he really is and where he comes from, Clark is the person that is trying to find a special place in the world somewhere and discover his true calling while trying his whole life to fit in the ordinary world like so many of us.
He, like myself, can't be with the person he loves because he has built up too much armour over the years and that takes a while to break down because he doesn't want to get hurt or hurt anyone else.
Clark knows that with each new development his responsibilities become greater and more dangerous for those involved. Clark feels guilty about his past and looks forward to the future with wonder and excitement. Clarks knows that with as many gifts he has, he can't save everyone and control everything.
I love Tom Welling/Clark the most: his attitude, his personality, his smile, his voice is so soothing, his eyes are beautiful and a window to his soul.
When Clark goes through pain and suffering I can feel and understand it. When Clark cries or is sad, I'm sad or crying, when he's happy, I'm happy. I totally love the show in every way possible I have so many things that I would like to say but you probably need you space so I will leave it at this!
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE SMALLVILLE FOREVER :D

HOLY CRAP!!!! SOME PEOPLE AREN'T OBSESSED WITH SMALLVILLE?!?!?!
I love the show sooooooo much but I dont' have all the Smallville memorabilia other folks *cough* Lana_Lana#1 *cough* do. I have all 4 seasons, a superman blanket, 3 superman shirts, superman pajamas, a smallville board (hard to explain), umm...that's pretty much it but I love k-site and all i talk about is Smallville.
I've been keeping track of my Smallville dreams since November, adn I think the tally is at 28...and I had another last night. I CANNOT get Smallville out of my head! It's so addicting, I never knew TV could be this good. SO far I've turned most of my friends-wait, all of them- into Smallville fanatics and major Clanaists, and now my sister watches it, and so do my cousins, and I called my Auntie Lisa the other day to chat and she's like "Hold on...can you call me back in a little while? Smallville's on" and that was a little scary. I am pretty much surrounded by Smallville wherever I go, which is a good thing.
Hmm.....I am so obsessed with Smallville I passed up a free trip to Florida so I wouldn't miss that week's epi of Smallville...and the epi i missed ended up being Aqua *gag* but it's OK cuz it's Smallville and Smallville can beat Disneyworld any day! I almost fainted when this kid at my lunch table interrupted my Smallville ramblings and said "Wait..Clark Kent is Superman?" And this kid from Korea was like "Yeah, Peter..everyone knpws that. I used to watch Smallville in Korea" and then I almost fainted cuz that was the longest sentence he ever said.
And this is getting a little long so I better end this post before it takes over the world!! mwah ha ha ha haaaaaaa But I LOVE Smallville with all my heart and soul, it's just such a GOOD show.
Phew, I'm done.

Im definatly not at the point of obsession, but I am really into it. I think it is becuase I can relate to the charachter of Lex so much. Except for the fact that im not bald, not a billionare, and I dont have a bad relationship with my dad everything about my personality and deminor matches his.
Oh and also im not paranoid and evil. Think S1-3 Lex.

This is a great Thread.
I am pleased to read how the show has effected so many other people the way it has effected me.
I could write a book about why I love the show so much. Perhaps I will some day.
I can't stop thinking of this show and only hope that the people involved with the show take there time with it and continue it for years to come.
I think alot of people are relating to Smallville because of the characters.
Lana_Lana#1
Thanks for posting such a great thread. It takes courage to share feelings like you have and I admire that. We all aspire to be like someone in our lives and there are so many bad television programs these days that have nothing but anti-role models. Smallville has characters that are good. There is alot more to be said about the show but not enough space here to say it.
For now I will just say that "intention" is everything. The character of Clark has special powers and it's amazing that he has it within him to want to do good with those powers. It's something that all of us face in the world. I think this is one of the many reasons why Smallville appeals to so many people. If the obsession becomes about wanting to be good people ourselves, then this is a good obsession.
I hope some of our paths cross one day so we can do good things in our own world.
"They can be a good people Kal-El, they wish to be, they only like the light to show the way."
This is from the new Superman Returns Movie.
Superman and Smallville have become my inspiration to take whatever abilities I may have and intend to use them for good in our world.
Take Care All
Bless you guys.

I agree:
"They are a good people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way."

I download the music, too -- it's playing now -- in order of it's play on Smallville, and play though the catalogue when I'm on my computer. Right now I'm listening to "You," which played at the end of Hothead, Season 1, when Clark and Lana did their scream on the football field.
Great thread, mtaylor. (Alien Ant Farm playing now. )

I definately think one of the things that draws me to the show is the music. I've got to give credit to the music director or whatever he is called.

I was drawn to the show by Kristin Kreuk, but now can't get the show out of my head either. A lot of people give the writers a lot of flak for various things, but this thread should prove once and for all the writers are doing something right if this many people can't get the show out of their heads. Long live Clana.

I'm hooked, for sure. I've been on a non stop Smallville marathon for about 3 weeks now. I do little else, and will probable continue to do little else until I'm caught up. D*mn show!!!!!
JK's death didn't affect me as much as it would have if I didn't grow up watching the Dukes of Hazzard. It takes some work picturing him as JK instead of Bo Duke.

I have to bring this thread back in the number 1 pages .... I've been watching the show since 2003 or 2004 and I was hooked the first time I saw it. I was on holidays in France when I switched on the TV and found nothing good... And I just stopped on a random channel and it was season 2 episode X-ray ( I believe) , and wow , it blew me away. Everything , I didn't understand it was about Clark Kent/"Superman" until I saw the intro come up and said smallville based on blabla. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhh and now we're in 2009 and i've never missed an episode !! It's become a part of me, it got me to read the comics, watch all the movies, read anything about Superman. It's become a part of me in a sense. I grew up with it. And i think you can tell who a few of those people are just by seeing how many posts they've made on the forum haha. I'm at 840 something but some are at like 5000 or watever . If you spot those , you know you've got yourself a true fan ;). Please people share your smallville experiences lol !
