We all know that Lionel was acting weird in this episode. There are a bunch of threads on that to check out but this one is a litte different.

This theory I have is that since Jor-El can inhabit Lionels' body, he is allowing Jonathan Kent to talk/interact/see his wife and son and make sure they are safe from Lex. I mean Lionel trying to run Luthor Corp. again is just JK making sure Lex doesn't commit and evil deeds.

Lionel giving Luthor Corp back to Lex is just so Lex won't tell Martha and so Martha will STILL trust him (Lionel) so he can still stay close with her.

Lionel also did not flinch at the sight of CK's power (okay, we can debate whether he saw or not BUT it had to be suspicous) and in the end of that scene said, "... son" (okay, I may be reading a lot more into this but those seem like JK words to me).

Any thought are humbly appreciated :)

do you mean Jonathon, Lionel and Jor-El are all in Lionel's body? I'm confused

I think we are all confussed. And that's the way they like it.

Good theory

Lionel knows Clark's secret. He's just playing dumb

I agree kostaki.

I don't think JK is in Lionel's body, or his emotions.

The son comment, though, I think is from Jor-el.

well it kinda makes sense since Lionel was awared of Andrea's superpowers and also heard her say (to Clark) " ur better than me " or something that meant something like that :)

So its either Lionel knowing pretty much everything or its Jor-El !

I'd say its Jor-el :)

By the way poor Lex , were really seing him swimming into dark waters , how long has it been since weve seen him smile or laugh sincerely ?

Wow -- I see what you mean. Jor-El "absorbs" something of the people he inhabits. So he's worked through Jonathan, he's worked through Lionel, so he's absorbed something from both of them. And he's expressing what he's absorbed from JK through Lionel. Pretty complicated!!

Do I understand you right? I don't know if I agree, but it's an interesting thought.

Uhhh, No. I dont think thats whats going on.

JK is dead and in noones body.

But, I do think Jor'el is in Lionels body.

I don't think Jonathan Kent has the powers to inhabit anyone's body. Unfortuantely, Jonathan Kent is dead. I think that if anyone is talking through Lionel it would have to be Jor-El. Either that or Lionel has gotten even creapier this season.

Yea you have it right :)

I just hope by the end of this, its not just Lionel is Lionel's body and someone else was saying those things to Martha/Clark :)

Jor-El's dead, but its hard to explain, but it may be some sort of spirit or some type of AI or something that is in Lionel. To the casual viewer, they probably wouldn't ponder about it, they may think Lionel is just being weird or going through a mid-life crisis, but something's definitely up with him.

interesting concept, but i dont think Jonathon Kent has anythng to do with the Lion-El mystery.

I think there are two sides to this: First, Lionel knows Clark's secret. Has known since he was on the Red K. He doesn't know all of the details yet. Just think of all of the hints Lionel has thrown at Lex. The Kent boy is special, etc. Second, Does Lionel's interest in Martha generate from love or just another way to find out more information about Clark. Maybe Jor-El is still in there, maybe not. We'll have to wait and see.

All about Clark

Well I don't think Lionel knew until Hidden, when Jor-el inhabited him. From transference he's been somewhat good with no knowledge, but from Hidden, he hasn't done anything to investigate Clark anymore, which tells me he now knows about Clark. I don't think Lionel saw anything Clark did when he was blind. Even if Lionel said a couple of weeks he hid that he had his sight back, in Smallville time, that's 1 episode.
