After hearing You're Beautiful in "Reckoning" I decided to look into James Blunt. His Back To Bedlam is now porbably my favorite CD of all time. Every track from 1-10 is a great song. Have any of you listened to it?

I bought Your Beautiful a few days before Reckoning - It took me a while to get into it but it's a pretty cool song.

I Love James Blunt. I'm like addicted to 'Back to Bedlam'.

My faves are 'Tears and Rain' and 'Out of my mind'. Any song that mentions puppets makes me smile. :p

But really there isn't a bad song on the CD. And he was great on SNL, and he was on 'Love Monkey' this week, too.

You're Beautiful is an absolutely beautiful song, so sad and melancholy.

I just wish that everytime I heard it now I didn't automatically think of Reckoning and Clana. That sort of takes away some of my enjoyment of it. :p

I have to agree, MBCorp. I wish I could purge that image out of my head when I hear that song. :\

I'll be honest, I hate his music. People everywhere are trying to mimic his song "Your Beautiful" and basically burning the song. I'm sick of hearing it.

Blunt was OK until he got over-exposed here, now he's seen as "uncool" and has been banned from "cool" events like the NME Music Awards :D

He's a bit of a drip, really. Still, at least he did was what those of us who aren't fans wanted and took a running jump off a cliff in his video ;)

Anyone notice how after it aired on Smallville (like two days after) his song was #1 on the iTunes charts?

Has anyone seen his music video to "You're Beautiful?"

Wacky! My hallmates showed it to me and now everyone in my dorm makes fun of it.

You know, it's a sad thing that the media do here in Britain. Last summer when 'You're Beautiful' was on the radio constantly, he was big in demand, his CD sold by the bucketload and was number one for ages, everyone liked him. Now it's fashionable and almost a sport to knock him down and take the mickey out of him. The Brits like to build people up and then tear them down, it's pathetic really and i wonder why they do that.

And yes, I do like James Blunt's music and love his CD

Agreed. I liked Your Beautiful when it first came out but it was played so many times that I didn't ever want to hear his voice again but then it was played on Reckoning...

I agree that people liked it but if you here something so many times you wanna rip your ears off it is hard to take him seriously. But, yeah if he wasn't so over-exposed i would probably really like him.

It's right ! I don't really know about the other countries, but as far as france is concerned, he is really appreciated and lots of people are fond of him...People love his voice, and they find his songs relaxing because of the melancholic rhythm.
(Anyway, here, most people don't understand what he is talking about  So they mainly like his personnality and the tone of his songs lol)

I have "You're Beautiful"; it's the song Clark Kent dedicates to my character in my "Supernatural Ones" story before he proposes to her :D :)
