It could have been so much better by simply adding about 5 minutes of content.

I wanted JK to be given a glimpse, by Jor El, of what was his son was to become. Shots from the new movie would have been fine. Then a short phrase from JK to Martha and CK as he died. Maybe like looking at CK and saying it was worth it or I am so proud. Giving him something to wonder about.

Also, I wanted to see Lex find out about his fathers betrayal. I was hoping to have a scene where he order his fathers death. A final turn to the dark side perhaps.

I hope we haven't seen the last of JK. I am kind of hoping for JK to reappear in short, what would my Dad have done scenes.

Yes, and it would have all been MUCH better if TPTB had fired this writing staff about 2 years ago... (Oh, here I go kicking that dead horse again -- Giddyap!!!)

"Re: It could have been so much better"

I totally agree with you all that it could have been better but I think no matter how the writers/producers portrayed it, some Smallville fan(s) would have cristicised it! Lets just hope we can see the deleted scene(s) I keep reading about on the DVD release.

Hey musictech I am sure we will see JK again, whether its old tape playing on TV or something.

I did want to ask though in the beginning credits of Season 5, have we seen Clark crash into the Jaguar car yet and Lex hitting the sword on Clark's arm? Or is that still to come in Season 5? I hope it's still to come as I don't remember seeing them in previous episodes and they do look like good scenes!!!

Laterzzz

It might be just me but I thought the last ten minutes were rushed.

They did... the car in "Shattered" and I can't remember the ep's title w/ the sword but it was the "worst fears" one...

Actually, it wasn't the 'worst fears' episode (Scare). It was Slumber, where Clark is dreaming and the psychic coma girl is in his dreams.

It's hard to believe that they've been planning this episode since the beginning and this was the best they could do. After all the hype this episode was given, it really didn't meet expectations.

Yes it could have been better, like Lana finnally knowing the truth for once. Im sick of the Clark Lana thing, get the truth out and dont come up with some make everyone forget thing like every other time. They have really tired out the tention thing between Clark and Lana. But with that being said i still will watch on tv and buy the dvd's as well.
