For those of you that were indifferent/disappointed/angry at episode 100 (I don't think I'm violating any rules or being redundant here) -- Who do you think is to blame for it? And let's try to keep this as a discussion of the "nuts & bolts" aspect of the episode... I'm REALLY curious as to all your opinions on this subject. BTW, I can't lay all the blame to one -- I chose #5, but feel the writers were the major goof-ups. Have fun w/ it!!!
PS... left one out (but you can discuss it regardless -- the Promoters for OVER-hyping it). Thanx!

I picked all of them, but I'm a writer, so I blame them most of all.
There are so many basic story-telling mistakes in this thing, I'd like to take this episode into my old college writing-workshop class, and show all the other students what not to do when writing their plotlines.
Thank you--I needed to vent. :)

I'm a self-taught writer myself, but I agree 100% - this is NOT the way to do it.

Writers with sub standard plot-lines and lack of creativity.
Producers for massive oversights and holes in every aspect of the storyline.
Editors for not picking up on simple mistakes in the filming.
AG/MM for ruining what could have been the coming together of 5 years of hard work, instead they destroy it and put us back at the first episode. Hell why not throw another Chloe / Clark / Lana spin on things and start all over again.
After all they must think we are that gullible that we watch something for this long for nothing at all
Such an important episode and such important issues with the story have been ruined because of morons not being able to do their job.
The losers in the long run are us and the more i think about this the more i run along the lines of people who cant be bothered to watch it anymore.
I just cant see a way it gets better from here, they burned their bridges with that episode.

Al & Miles because they had a plan for this ep from day 1.

Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson are the worst writers on the show. They have had a few gems, but look back on the worst shows and most of them were written by these two.
Of course, blame also falls on the producers for approving the overall arc, but I like to blame the writers for contriving it.

I blame Al&Miles. Had they written and directed the show, I'm sure it would been much better.

I made no vote as i blame no one for such an exelent ep - you'd think it was a really shocking move to kill off JK - we all knew it was comeing, and its been buliding up to it sice last season.
Bet they wouldn't be this much hate if JK didn't die in this ep, and as far as i see it - its a part of the supes mytho - makes for an intresting story.
Keep up the good work guys your appreated, by the true fans.

Thanks for this post. I must admit I was beginning to worry. Having not seen it yet.
Superman's dad died. That is how it has always been. I remember being very sad when Glenn Ford died "Oh no."

nobody.....what was wrong with the episode. It lived up to the hype. JK is supposed to die. That's part of the superman story. I've failed to spot the error or major blunder every1 is talking about.

The contrived "fate" reason for JK dying was vulgar. The more we see Jor-El, the more deus-ex machina(literally!) he becomes as a plot device.

where the Lana button? I blame her and only her, she should've died and all the problems in the next seasons would've never happened!!

Writers/Producers for coming up with such a dumb storyline
This was by far the worst episode ever. Superman would never have under any circumstances traded a life like that. No matter how much he loved the the person he was bringing back. I'm blaming them all for having no idea about the character whose story they're supposed to be telling.
