If you were Clark would you have proposed to Lana the second time around? http://www.vizu.com/vote_poll.jsp?n=3712&cId=39&src=post She was at risk anyway, I would have proposed again.
Yes i would have proposed to Lana again. If I was Clark when him and his family had to go take pictures because Jon won the election i would have made Lana take the pictures with me so she could be away from her cell phone hince Lex's phone call.
Or since i already knew about the crash I would have been waiting for the crash to save Lana.

That would have been so exciting -- Clark does the same thing, tells Lana, proposes, goes through all the happiness, but since he knows where the crash will be, he goes there and waits for it. He wouldn't even have to save Lois, because Lana would have been there earlier. Lex wouldn't have seen him superspeed, because Clark would have been hidden like he was in the second half. Sadly, Jonathan still would have died, but it would have been a stronger lesson about fate than what we got.

I would, and I would tell her what happened the first time, so smarter Lana will stay away from Lex and keep things on the low.

i dont know... i think learning that clark is an alien that has superpowers and was partially apart of the death of her parents and even further can time travel may have been a bit much for her to swallow...
especially consedering she may have started to wonder why the time travel bit wasn't used to save her parents...
as for the original question: yes, Clark was a dult for not doing so.... he knew before the first time there were risks, but now he had the info save her... lex would have eventually got his head straight. though would have continued to be suspicious i'm sure but that would have put lana in no more danger (by Lex) than clark currently is....

the one thing that pains me, and this is more about the show in general, not so much this episode, is that clark all this time could have really submitted a half truth to both Lana and Lex with far less sever consequences:
told them that he was ashamed to be amoung one of the meteor freaks (not an alien) and does poses limited powers that he uses for good. i.e. can run at about half the speed he actually can (just so the criminal part of lex doesn't get too many ideas) and has some super strength. i think devulging that much would curb their suspisions of him and be a small enough "secret" to allow them to accept him as the hero he is without wanting to exploit him...
they would still look for the alien/spaceship, but he would at least be off their radar !
and lana would have no longer been annoyed by his "secret" and their relationship could have progresed...
lord, just dont tell her you have x-ray vision!

I don't think Clark should've proposed to Lana a second time. It reminded me of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman when Clark proposed to Lois right after she found out the secret. Lois should've gotten used to the idea of Clark being an alien before he dumped something else of her. The same applies to Lana who can't be expected to choose between her love for Clark and the discovery of his heritage and powers so fast.
Also, the fact that even if Lana didn't get into a car accident that night, something would've happened to her eventually. Lex would've definetely seen the ring and have known that Lana found out the secret. Given his feelings for her, he'd probably try to rip her away from Clark and if he couldn't, then he'd kill her. It's like what Clark said, anybody who knows his secret is always in danger. He should just spare Lana the pain.

yes if i was clark i would have proposed to her again..now knowing what was going to happen i would have explained it to her..i mean she would be getting one weird thing already so why not two?? he would have easily been able to keep her away from lex if he did propose again..so it wouldnt have been as much of a risk..and plus he wouldnt have had to worry about her not liking him anymore because he would have already known her reaction..he has managed to keep chloe safe and she knows his secret..so he could have pulled it off with lana too..so i think he should have definitely proposed to her again..but may i also say what he has for her is pure straight up LOVE..only he would rather not have a relationship for her safety!!

I don't think he should have proposed because of the fact that Lana went to see Lex. That was a bad, and strange, decision on Lana's part -- I still don't understand it. It should have given Clark serious pause about proposing, even though this was not the reason given by the show.
