We all know that someone died in Reckoning - will there be new opening credits now or will this person just be cut out?
Without mentioning names...
Thanks

The person who has been written out of the show has a contract that they signed which entitles them to be in the opening credits until the end of the season.
There have been talks of James Marsters becoming a regular on the show, so maybe the person that died will be replaced by him later on in the season/ added to the credits.

During one of the seasons of Star Trek, one of the regulars died midseason, but his name was still in the credits for the rest of the season.
Besides, we've seen the descriptions for upcoming episodes. The person's name is still listed there.

Hey I'm sorta new here, I usually browse. But I signed up recently. I was wondering if anyway noticed anything in the starting credits.
Particularly when the Actors name appears. Like when it says Tom Welling, and you see him getting hit by the car. Could that show that he's embracing his destiny.
Also Lex's one shows him where he's looking through the hole in his ship for the stone=knowledge=power.
And Chloe's investigating in hers, and she obviously works for the Daily Planet.
What I found interesting is that in Martha's she looks sad and we can assume why.
Even more than that, Lionel has the most mysterious one, he just has a very tall building in place of him(i think it may be luthorcorp), but I'm more interested in what it represents. Because its very unclear on what his motives are.

why do people look for a deeper meaning to the tiniest aspects of this show? they're credits with scenes of the characters..jeez

Sorry for trying to take any notice in an unusal collection of scenes. But the credits do take a while to make. Some thought actually goes into making them, they just don't slap together scenes. But seeing as you're the smart one, maybe you can tell me that why all other characters have a scene with them, while Lionel has just a building implace of him? Did they do that foll the hell of it.

Some good questions there dude. And I think you do have a point.
Although, you can see by the characters faces that they have aged and specially Clark, become a man, with his more masculine and strong jawline.....more acustomed to Christopher Reeve. As for the other characters I cant see any other differences from other seasons.

I like the actual design of the credits and the way the actors match up with their characters in the scene. For example, in the scene behind TW, the camera turns quickly at an angle and it does the same thing with TW. Same with KK - Lana is in the tornadoes and KK is all windblown. The camera zooms quickly to MR's face just as it does when Lex is looking through the hole in the wall on the plane. Beyond those three, that pattern is gone, but I do agree that the scenes are very well-chosen for the credits and quite meaningful to the character.

while i think people, especially fanatics, tend to overanalyze every little thing, you are entitled to your opinion.
i tink they represent very little, just there to grab your interest and what better way than to see clark using his powers to do something we wud all love to be able to do.
Any other meaning is in the eye of the beholder and different things represent different things for different people! (IMO)

Besides, that person is going to be in future episodes. There's still *coughs* flashbacks and *farts* home movies.

^ Right you are. I was figuring they'd keep him/her in the credits until the end of the season. I've said it before, I'll say it again: I'd LOVE for JM to be a regular. :D

LionelLuthor is correct. John Schneider will be in the opening credits for the rest of the season.
I'm merging this topic with all other Opening Credits discussions, and making it a general "Opening Credits Discussion" thread.

In TNG, Tasha Yar was immediately taken from the opening credits.
In DS9, when Jadzia Dax died, Ezri was introduced quickly and replaced her in the credits.
In Voyager, 7of9 took Kes' spot in the credits. Yet when the show ended, Neelix left two episodes before the show ended and stayed on the credits until the end.

 I´m still wondering what the hell is the lying b** Lana in second place in the credits, ovbiously I´m sick of her as most of fans, but she doesn´t have any purpose in this show.:o ;)
