True it is Clark's fault. Damnit I wish Lana was dead instead.

Clark will still be Superman. Having Clark look responsible for this death is bad writing. Superman did not have this in his past.
Amen to that.

I agree and disagree with you here. I believe Clark is responsible, not looks like he is. I agree it's bad writing, if It was written better no one would have to die for Clark to become the hero we all know and love. I agree with you Superman did not have this in his past.

I agree. Having Clark responsible (indirectly) for Jonathans death was terrible writing.

Whatever way you look at it Clark is responsible

Clark is not responsible for Jonathan's heart condition nor is he responsible for his death.

Jonathan made a choice to go to Jor-el knowing there'd be consequences in Exile. Consequence: made deal and bad heart

Jonathan made a choice to meet with Lionel knowing he had a bad heart and was already taxed from the election. Consequence: death

Clark did not make or ask for Jonathan do any of these things.

And don't bring up Clark leaving when Martha lost her baby, because Clark believed that Jor-el would hurt more of his loved ones. He was prepared to be alone to deal with Jor-el.

Okay we can argue symantecs about whether or not Clark is selfish or a murderer but let's take a look at Jor-El and what his role has been in the show. Basically everything Jor-El says to clark comes true in some form or another. My guess is that the whole time reversal thing was all part of Jor-El's plan all along. Jor-El keeps mentioning tests and trials to Clark, what if this whole thing was one of those trials. Jor-El knew someone was going to die, and think about it, who has Jor-El effected the most health wise on the show, Johnathan Kent.

Perhaps the death of Lana triggered the trial, Lana was never the person who was going to die, and Jor-El knew this, so he gave Clark the option to save lana in return for another's life. Perhaps it was a test to see if Clark had the strength to make life or death decisions, like he will have to do lots of times in his future. It is hard to understand where it is all going, but one can speculate. I believe JK was always the one meant to die because he has been dying since Jor-El did whatever he did to him, Jor-El had to know he was going to die and so he set up this little trial for Clark to go through with the time reversal crystal and what not.

And if you want a ridiculous explination, here is one. What if Clark is really still in the FOS getting all the information downloaded to him, but in his mind he actually left the FOS to save chloe and he is now living this life in his mind where Jor-El seems to have Godly powers. It could be like The Last Temptation of Christ where he hallucinates the entire movie where he has second thoughts and runs away instead of getting crusified, but when all that is done we find out that was all going through his mind as he hung on the cross dying. I am sure there is a reason for everything, there is a reason why Lana is alive instead of JK, I at least like to believe that, we will just have to see. Just my two cents people, talk amongst yourselves, disagree, agree, or flame me, I don't care, just my two cents.
