anyone think those 2 police guys were similar to Nam-Ek and Aethyr?
again, a black man and white woman in search of something. last time it was "where is Kal-El, take us to him", this time it was all like "wheres the ship, take us to it"
and of course, Lana has to be in the middle of it all

I do also, although I'm not sure of what significance. Only if they were the same two actors would it have been significant.

well when they had the spoilers up for this episode some people thought they could have been the same characters but i dont know if the whole thing was intentional or if its just a coincidence

I didn't notice when I first watched it, but I think it was intentional. We rarely ever get a black or female villain on the show.
officially called in Smallville.

I think they like to show "broken mirrors" of other events in the series. I don't think it was "important" - but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a poetic "as though the kryptonians came back for their ship" phenomena.
