I just wanted to point this scene out as i think it is very crucial to the plot lines and the future regarding lex luthor lana lang and clark kent. Clark was on his way to visit LEX LUTHOR......[we know this because lana and lex are inside lex's room] and that is the directoin clark was taking.....What wouldve or couldve happened is unknown, but what i do know is that clark kent/superman does not wish harm on anyone and was visiting lex luthor to make sure he was ok...

Who knows what would have been said, what the topics would have been, but at best, they maybe could have even rekindled their friendship and settled some things. Most hospital visits tend to be uplifting and positive! Lana Lang being there only encourages the theory that lana lang is the reason clark kent and lex luthor become enemies.. Her presence there embracing lex luthor was so shocking and repulsive that clark superspeeds away and later starts conjuring reasons to chloe to reinforce his belief as to why lex is untrustworthy and dangerous. I really think that had lana not been present, clark and lex would not be turning for the worst at this exponentially rapid pace that their going at this season.

Feel free to respond!:\

Um, I didn't read any of what you said except maybe the title and first few lines but interesting topic; I thought Clark and Lex were no longer friends? Why would he be visiting Lex.. I'm guessing either
-Thank Lex for telling him where Lana is.
-Yell at Lex for putting Lana in danger.
-Ask about the spaceship.

And what he instead got was........

Hmm. Interesting point, bunkmania. I'd like to think that yes, Clark was paying a friendly hospital visit (much like Lex tried to do in "Fanatic"), and the sight of all that Lexana drove him away.

And then he goes off on Lex in the next scene, and Chloe calls him on it. Awesome. ;)

Somehow lost in all this episode (and understandably so, IMO, b/c it wasn't clearly written), is that Lex is probably alive, *again*, b/c of Clark. Lana may have thought she was making a big self-sacrifice, but the truth is that those deputies never had any intention of calling and sending help for Lex. Clark arriving, and getting Lex to the hospital probably saved his life, *again*.

And I was so disappointed in the writing that they didn't spend more time on this point, and less on it being "all about Lana". I don't mind Lana, but really, the point of the show is supposed to be Clark first, Lex second. IMO

well as lana did suggest to CK, lex saved her life and in Lockdown was generally quite a good boy so maybe CK was building some much needed bridges!

I don't think that Lana should be the reason that Lex and Clark stop being friends. Are they really going to let a girl come in-between 5 years of friendship? It'd be like Chloe and Lana stop being friends because they both have feelings for Clark.

Clark seems to determined to blame Lex for the incident even though it wasn't his fault Lana almost got killed in this case. Either way Im not surprised he went ot the hospital, it was likely a courteous check in.

Good point. He probably went to the hospital to blame Lex for putting Lana in so much danger.
