okay, he's dying, so he's whispering, and then he starts talking normally. then he almost dies and suddenly he's alking again. What?

It's because of Lex's immune system. It was healing him and that's how he was able to start talking again.

Immune systems don't have anything to do with bullet wounds or injuries such as that. I guess it's just varying weakness as he loses blood

If Lex has a super immune system he'd be able to heal from bullet wounds faster than a normal human which means that he wouldn't pass out and die.

Immunity could fight infection, etc, but if he's bleeding to death it wouldn't help him. Also, the skin wouldnt regenerate faster/better. But for all we know he did get other healing abilities we're not yet aware of.

It would help him if he's bleeding to death because the platelets in his system would stop the blood from flowing out. Kind of like when you prick yourself with a needle. The blood stops coming out after a while.
