lois and clark forshadowing?

"Don't sweat it Smallville. Better late than never." after lois said this she gave Clark a LOOK and the camera held that look for a while when she was on top of that pyscho stalker girl. i though it was subtle forshadowing but definately apperent there. any thoughts?
