Only 2 weeks elapsed between Mortal, Hidden and Thirst?

Clark mentioned that Lana took off for Metropolis 2 weeks after they got together....it makes sense that much of the summer elapsed between Arrival and Mortal, but that 2 weeks is a bit tight even for SV standards...in Mortal the Kent house is a shell and in Hidden, completely back to normal all without the superpowered Clark to make it happen quickly...couldn't they have just said a few weeks in the name of better continuity and tighter writing???

But there was a couple months between Arrival and Mortal. Clark and Lana were a couple for a little while before they had sex.

I'm talking mostly about the construction and less about Clark and Lana's relationship...why would it take most of the summer to get to where it was in Mortal and then a mere 2 weeks in Hidden?? It's mostly sloppy writing or a goof...

well if you remember the Barn Raising that was held, there's no reason to believer that everyone dind't help with the house as well. That many people all working at once can get a barn and a house up in no time at all. But still, I would expect the Barn to look considerably different and newer on the inside. But given that it's a TV show, they're not gonna tear down a perfectly good set just to rebuild it the same with newer materials for continuity reasons.

I don't think the barn got hit by the shower. The barn they were building was for another family. And I think the house was ok in Mortal -- I don't remember anything looking demolished when they were being held by those Belle Reve guys.

But I agree -- I thought there was more time between Mortal and Hidden. I always thought Mortal was in the middle of the summer. And I remember Lex saying something about the timeline that made it seem like the summer. I think the writers goofed in Fanatic. I may be confused, but didn't Lana move to Met U in Thirst? That's Halloween. Aqua was at the beginning of the school semester -- first day of classes. It had to be more than two weeks.

You know when you tell someone to do something more then once, but when you finally get made you say "I told you 1000 times not to do that!" Really you haven't but your going for a effact to make your point. That's what Clark was doing, Lana took off after 2 weeks, he was didn't really mean they had only been dating for two weeks, he was just try to make the point they where bearly together for very far before she moved away.

I might be able to buy "Hidden" coming the day after "Mortal" if they could come up with some explanation for the house suddenly being rebuilt. Clark doesn't have his powers and Lex wouldn't have paid for the repairs.
