Tom,

Thanks for the link to this one man. You were right. It was better than the original.

Your new intro

- Loved the new intro. Great scene choices in it, along with the color schemes and Superman score. Very well put together. The only gripe I had about the intro was it going to the new scene while the head was still turning in the scene from Crusade. You did not get to see the scene come to a full stop before it went to a new one. But other than that, the intro was wicked. You chose my favorite scene to start off with the field race. :D

Feedback on the Video

- The opening with the comic looking title was a great idea. Loved the opening on the remake a lot more than just seeing Garner strut her stuff, although anytime you can see JG do that it is awesome. :D

- The editing in the remake is also better. Especially on the fight scenes. One section that I liked a lot more in particular was near the beginning when you did the quick edits in between the still scenes of Elektra with her face next to the fighting staff. That section was incredibly well done.

- Loved the one handed pull up for "lift me up". Loved how the scene hung on the lyric and it went well with the lyrics too. It was cool to see that scene make it in.

- Nice editing on Elektra jumping over the guy shooting. Loved seeing the bullets hit the ceiling.

- The split screen/overlay of Elektra's face next to her standing there in the shadows was awesome. Really liked that addition.

- Loved the scene of the guy holding the sword to Elektra's throat as the pause in the song came up @ 3:10. Built suspense going in.

- Awesome editing on the final fight scene. I loved the stuff when Elektra is jumping around on the well avoiding the attacks.

Other thoughts

There were a few things though that I wanted to comment on.

- One thing I missed that the original had was showing the girl yanking back with the wip right on cue with the music. That was one thing timing wise I loved in the original. It was cool seeing her jerk back from attacking the dog when the music stopped.

- The one section of the video that went too long was Elektra running through the forrest. Another thing I missed from the original was Elektra throwing the pegs into the tree and running up it.

Overall

Although there were a few things missing that I really loved about the original, the new one is even better. The editing, scene selection, and your awesome special effects work made this one hell of a memorable video.

Glad you loved the new intro...I was trying to come up with something that was unique. I agree, the scene from Crusade with Clark turning his head did fly by too early. I'll go back later and fix that.
I like the intro to the video better with the comic scene too. I thought it went alot better with JG fading in at the end of the comic scene. I worked pretty hard with alot of hours editing this video...The quick editing witht he fx took alot of work.
I had to leave those scenes that were your favorite from the original on this one because I thought it would flow better without it. Overall, I think it came out pretty damn good. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the compliments and the awesome feedback Ryan

That was super fantasticly awesome!!!
First off I was glad to see you fill the edges of the screen..That was driving me nuts on your other vids...
Im so glad you did something other than Smallville..Im a huge Smallville fan but it gets tiresome to see Clark and whoever vids over and over....
Your editing techniqe was inspiring.And rest assured Ill be stealing it in some vid down the line!!!:lol:
I really cant say enough about how I liked the screen size changes and the color changes...
The editing was absolutely perfect!!!!
The slow mo at the end was a little jerky but the rest of it was put together flawlessly....Great song choice to...
I hope your entering this in the non-Smallville category so that people will know theyre going to have to step up to beat it!!!

Woah that was incredible! Really awesome job on this one! It was cool to see such an action packed vid. Your editing was really something else! Very impressive man!

The intro you had was very cool too. Excellent song selection and very cool scenes for an intro.

I really liked the opening reddish comic book type scenes. And I thought it was very cool how you went from that into the face shot at 50!

The editing on the staff sequence that ended at 106 was awesome! Loved how you had the pause scenes match the pause in the music, with the rest of it being action scenes that matched the beat. Very awesome stuff!

I also really enjoyed the second staff sequence around 200! Awesome job there once again!

230: This was a very cool overlay type thing in this scene. Awesome use of that technique! It was very cool and set the stage for the big face off between her and the enemy guy (sory I don't know his name never seen the movie LOL).

The section from 311 to 330 was also very well done! Really amazing editing on that part and very cool effects with the screen and the colors!

The final fight sequence was incredible too! I was really impressed with all the fast and unique editing you did on this vid!

Just finished watching the vid and that was a great remake! You hit the editing on the different beats perfectly :) And I must say I love your beginning signature :D Now I messed up and overwrote the old vid, and I haven't seen it in a while, so I really don't remember it. But, to me at least, from what I remember you're editing on the last one pales in comparision to this. The slow beginning really set up the vid nicely, and I enjoyed the contrast you put in the verses between Elektra and her young protegee, really nice touch there. And using the fight between them for the rest of the verse really went well, you felt the electricity between those two at in that scene, and you did a good job of recreating that feeling. I loved how you slowed down the fast editing just before the bridge and then really kicked it up during the bridge, and the last fight scene was awesome! I really enjoyed watching this, great job!:)

I really loved this remake. The editing was out of this world. Everything was just perfect. I loved every second of this video and the song choice was good and scene selection was great.

Loved the effects you've used (which I don't know what it is..:p )

Glad you enjoyed the remake and the opening signature. I put in alot of hours on this one so all the compliments makes it worth while.
In comparison with the original, this one blows the original out of the water in my opinion. Thanks for the awesome compliments and the feedback.

I can't say that I truly enjoyed the Elektra movie (I'll forgive the typo since I'm a Marvel Comics Fan from way back when) but your video truly redeemed the film. The editing was smooth, the transitions were solid. and the music just plain rocked!
