Can someone help me out?

I watch smallville in chicago, and there was an accident at one of our airports, so they cut out of smallville for about 15 minutes to cover it.
Can someone briefly explain the christmas party at the kents (the one in lexs 'dream') and what complications made lana die? Were Clark and Chloe dating? I missed those parts. Thank you for your help!

Lex and Lana go to the kents to celebrate without alexender. Jonathan greets that at the door, as well as clark. they hug and kiss. they go back inside, and jonathan grabs lex and says "as state senator it is my duty to deliver you an award *shows him a plaque*" and then announces it to the whole gang in the house. lex was voted best humanitarium man or something. and then after that lex walks outside and his mom appears. they talk about how that day was the best day of his life. then clark comes out thinking that lex was talking to himself. they start talking about their friendship and how lana started liking lex more and more. that was about it. then the complications that made lana die was the loss of blood. they said that the baby caused lana to lose a lot of blood. which is kinda ironic after the episode of "thirst" =P
so i think thats how lana died. and in lex's "future" it seemed that clark and chloe were dating. there wasnt much about that.
