The Kents are having a party, they invite all their friends over for a celebration...but wait! Someone is missing, someone that was considered to be a member of the family, PETE ROSS! This was a golden opportunity to have The Boss return to Smallville, a wonderful Christmas present it would have made for the Kents and us fans.

I just find it upseting that the Kents have adopted the "out of sight out of mind" mentality, I mean Pete was Clark's best friend, to quote Johnathon "since the sandbox" the least they could have done was mention him, it's not that hard, here look..."I wish Pete could have made it" or "I need to call Pete"

I'm sorry it just really sticks in my craw how many times they have screwed over Pete, and now one more to add to the list.

I have forgotten all about high school and government. How long can you be a Senator?

Lois is missing too. But this is not a real future. Maybe Pete is dead.

I think (it may vary state to state) you can be reelected senator as many times as you can.

Now, realistically, it should not be a surprise that someone that you were best friends with seven years ago is not mentioned at a party. They may have been friends for a very long time, but seven years is a long time too. Espeacially if you are not around that person a lot.

Pete deserves a better fate than to die off screen! And he lives in the comics so I resent that.

It would have been nice to se Pete. I miss him. Could be cool to have 2 friends that know about Clark together with him. And they wouldn't need the biting worm thing that bit Chloe and Pete way back whenever. :)

Great information on terms for senate.

I guess they thought u were talking about the party that was in lex's dream. But i know what u are talking about why wasn't Pete at the party or even mentioned at the party the kents had in the real smalleville reality.
I mean its like he never existed in the story. he was mentioned once. But its like really messed up to not mention him in this episode

It doesn't make me mad because it's Lex's world view. And I don't think Lex paid much attention to Pete. It would be nice to see him return, but I'd rather see him under more prominent circumstances -- a storyline that actually has something to do with him.

I'm not talking about Lex's dream I am talking about the party the Kent's are having at the end of the episode, after Lex wakes up.

Come on the actor that use to play Pete wouldn't come back for one little appearance at the end of one show to take a continous between season 3 and season 5. Don't you remember, this is Smallville, no ones gonna remember anything next week.

There's no real reason to include him, because he was written off the show. That's why he was written off, so that he wouldn't continue appearing on the show. And Languine's right - SJIII's just going to pop in for a cameo? Considering most people didn't even think about him, let alone ponder his abscence, it'd be a waste of money and screentime.

Pete's been gone for a while plus he's not really in the show so no. If anyone Lois's should've been there because she obviously still keeps in touch with the Kents.

I don't think they want to bring pete back for a cameo. I have a feeling he may resurface next year after this death has taken place. Season 6 would be a good time to bring him back because it will give Clark another close friend in his life after he loses one, the one is probably is father.

Oh, I see. Could be that Pete was having a great party of his own with all his new friends. You know he's going to be popular whever he goes. :)

It's possible that Sam may not want to do a guest appearance. I know he's working.

"Pete Ross"?

Oh, yes, I do believe there was a character by that name at some point in the past. And the past is where he is now and, hopefully, will remain.

That is really scary when it comes to post-100th episode.
