First it was "encore presentation, now this... they just don't like to say "rerun," do they? ;)

Well, I mean, it is as long as a movie...and you gotta admit that this Premiere/Finale set was close to movie quality. But, yeah, they want to promote it as something worth watching, not just "we're replaying this stuff to fill in the break".

They did it last year with "Covenant" and "Crusade". This time it is "Commencement" and "Arrival". It is pretty cool set up.

Well, I guess we'll let them by with it......THIS TIME. ;) Just as long as they don't go making a habit of it.

I think the movie events are already a habit with them.. they've done it every year.

There are no "used cars" anymore, either. They're "previously owned"

Does anyone know exactly how many reruns till we get the next episode? Or better yet, what are the filler, 'movie events' and 'encore presenation' that will be playing the weeks to come? Or is that the last smallville episode they'll be playing?

This is good, cause I never saw Commencement or Arrival. I never watched SV until three months ago (Thank God for DVD's!) so I watched 1-3, but I watched season 4 on the family channel, which completely skipped Facade, Ageless, Spirit, and Commencement. Thankfully The WB re-ran Facade and Spirit. Now I have to see Ageless and Commencement. as for Arrival, the power was out in half my county. And before anyone mentions the season 4 DVDs, I'll say that I'm not paying $50 for something my library has on order.

Well, I bought the Pilot and Metamorphosis as a DVD movie.

In late 2002, the WB did air Tempest and Vortex as a "Smallville Movie."

I did not notice that they did the same thing for other finalies and premiere episodes.

However, seeing that Commencement was 1 hour 1/2, will the WB cut some seens out, or will it air for 2 1/2 hours?

Well, an hour and 15 minutes --- there was the 10 minute Batman Begins trailer (which was also cool).

Whenever a show has an odd length like 90 minutes, the extra stuff is usually just filler, so it can air in syndication with ease. I think the version of commencement they are going to air next week is going to be shortened.

aww...oh well, I'll have three week posession of season 4 soon.
