What I don't quite understand is where all of Lex's money went.
The turning point in his life (in his coma-induced dream) was backing out of the Senatorial race. But he was already rich and powerful by then. I could better understand if his life was meant to have taken a different path shortly after his initial arrival in Smallville (he wasn't much more than a rich punk at the time). If Lionel had cut him off then, Lex might have been up the creek. But, unless he is meant to have given all his worldy goods and assets to the poor or something, I don't understand where his millions (billions?) nipped off to.
t!
Also, (a bit off topic, but not worth starting a new thread for) wouldn't Jonathan Kent, as Senator, have had enough pull to save Lana?

I loved Lex's reaction of "A Budge?!" That was priceless.

Yeah, it was like despite he can quote Shakespeare and has a large vocabulary, he didn't know what "budget" meant!

Towards the beginning, when Lex is talking Alex to get a Christmas tree Lana tells him remember that we have a budget and Lex was kind of shocked by that statement!!;)

Actually the fact that Lana was the one reminding him this makes me wonder was Lana supporting Lex? I mean maybe she could kept The Talon and this was their only income? I think this would have be funny Lex supported by Lana! :D
