Wow! Aunt Nell was finally pulled out of the Phantom Zone for a mention!

Nell is basically Lana's step mother/adptive mother and not really an aunt, it's completely realistic that Lana would spend a family holiday like Christmas with Aunt Nell.

There are NO continuity errors in this episode, because we have never seen what they do for Christmas.

Actually Lana mentioned staying at Nell's during "Exile" it was her conversation with Chloe in the Talon.

I was happy when I heard that comment. I dont care if Nell never makes an appearance again, I was just happy she was mentioned.

Continuity and references from older seasons makes me happy.

I always watch the episodes with the close captions on because sometimes the captions differ from what is being said by the actors on the screen. According to the captions Lana said "Mel", and it sure as hell sounded like it too.

But I do agree that it was a nice bit of continuity to throw Nell's name in there.

I laughed when Lana mentioned Nell. I'm fine with Nell never showing up on screan, but having her name in there was nice.

Well this is like the first Christmas episode Smallville has.. so I am guessing they only have Christmas every 4 years cuz WTF she still close with Nell after all these years and whats happened? Maybe Nell is a nickname for Jason.. hah of course I don't believe any of what I just said because it's probably just bad writting forged in at the last minute.

Agreed. Lana does need to see her family members every once in a while, or it would be unhuman of her. Just imagine how Nell would have felt, if she never saw Lana again after season 2?
