Favorite Seasons : 1-8

Jumped the shark : There was a tiny jump after Thomas Hayden Church left the show. Lowell was one of the best characters on the show.

Overall thoughts on the show :

Wings is my second favorite show of all time. You could relate to all of the characters, and this show made me laugh harder than I ever have in my life. It is one of the most underrated comedy shows of all time in my opinion. The show even had a great ending. My only gripe was Thomas Hayden Church leaving the show. Other than that, the show was just flat out awesome.

I discovered Wings when it went into syndication. But I never fallowed it very closely. It was so funny most of the time,Lowell the mechanic especially. The UFO episode and the one where Helen had to stay awake was one of my favorites.

Does anyone else love the show Wings??

It is the funniest show I have ever seen. Wings had it all. A great cast, lots of laughs, and fabulous storylines for the episodes. It was one of the few shows that I have seen that was great the whole way through. The show's only downfall was when Lowell left the show. What was Thomas Haden Church thinking? He left to be on his own show called Ned and Stacy that only lasted a season and a half. He should have stayed on until the end.

My favorite character is definately Antonio played by Monk's Tony Shaloub. If you think Tony is funny as Monk, you should watch him on Wings. The best reoccuring characters on the show were definately Sandy Cooper and Carlton Blanchard.

Here are some of my favorite episodes :

Blackout Buggins - Roy tries to sing the national anthem at a Boston Red Sox game and faints.

Murder She Roast- Brian thinks he sees Fay on a "Most Wanted" show as serial killer Florence Chambers and tries to spend the episode proving she is the killer from the show.

Try to Remember the Night He Dismembered - The gang is fogged in, and to pass the time Brian hyponitzes everyone. Under hypnodsis, Roy reveals that he has $250,000 of stolen money buried in his back yard.

The Customer's Usually Right - Joe complains over a rewind fee on a movie he feels that he rewound. He ends up getting the rewind lady fired.

The Bank Dick - Brian is forced to get a second job as a bank security guard when he spends his IRS refund that turns out to be a mistake.

Joe Blows PTS 1&2 - Joe runs off and leaves Brian to deal with the business. They end up agreeing to become equal partners after Joe returns.

I Love Brian - Brian claims to know Clint Black.

Black Eye Affair - Helen goes through disaster after disaster when attempting to get ready for her date with Davis.

The Team Player - A publicity disaster occurs when Antonio (running the desk while the brother's go to the game)bumps the Bruins abrasive star goalie Danny "Dead End" Connelly off a Sandpiper flight to a critical game, causing the Bruins to lose.

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun/The Big Wedding - The failed bachelor party plus Joe and Helen's wedding turns into a disaster

The Big Sleep - After fighting with Helen over the architect's plans for their new house (he wants a big screen tv in the bedroom, and she wants a walk-in closet),Joe has a strange dream involving Tigers, Clowns,Roy bellying dancing and the two of them dying in a plane crash with Antonio.

I have been able to watch 'Wings' reruns on TVLand and it really very funny. Imagine my suprise when I found out Tim Daly voiced CK/Supes in the Animated series.

I just thought I would bump this thread due to the announcement of the show being released on DVD. They are pulling a big time false advertisement though with Antonio on the cover for seasons 1&2. Antonio does not become a main character until season three. Before that, he only makes one appearance. It is a shame too because Antonio is my favorite character from the show.

Wings was such a fun show! We use to watch it all the time. (Didn't it use to be on after cheers?) I can't remember. I haven't seen it in forever.
I just loved the whole cast, they were so much fun. They had great chemistry and the stories were just so funny!
I guess I am a little late to the discussion, but when are the dvds coming out?

BTW, we didn't watch the show through till it ended, but whatever happened with Helen and Joe??

Edit: If I had read all of vyperman's first post I guess I would have known the answer to that~ my bad!!

I Love Wings, it's one of my all time favorite shows :D

You know TVLAND won't air a few episodes? Black Eye Affair is one, and a couple others, one they won't air because Antonio makes a reference to being a terrorist.

I love all the characters except for Alex, and Bud

Good to hear Stacy. Antonio is still my favorite character although Tim and Steve were awesome as the Hackett bros. I have the whole show on tape and watch it religiously. Although I am hyped for the DVD release.
