Yup, I made a War Of The Worlds vid. Here it is if anyone wants to check it out.
It's to the song "Aliens Exist" by Blink 182.

Awesome video Holly.

Really fantastic editing. I recently saw WOTW and thought it was a pretty good film(with the acception of the lame ending), so it was cool to see a music video on it. I am a big fan of Blink 182 so I really enjoyed the song choice. Timing was great in this video as well as the color effects that you had going on. I think that the video may have been a little bit too fast paced though. If the video had been just a little bit slower, then it would have been perfect. But still, you are by far one of the best editors out there. Amazing job.

Thank you for making it so easy to see the video. It was cool as hell to be able to go to a seperate site and just hit play, instead of having to download something.

I just watched your MV and it is pretty dawn good :) This movie is one of the latest I've seen and it is really good. The fast clips matched the beat of the song but you should have put less fast scenes. But with that movie, I think it is kind of hard because it contains a lot of action. Overall, really nice job on this vid!! :p I enjoyed it :D

I'm glad you all liked the song choice. I wanted to use a fast paced alien kind've song and I downloaded an X Files vid from morbitmuch.com a while back and thought "Hey, that song could work". :D
I tell ya too, this song was not easy to vid to, not one bit.
Mainly cause of the lyrics, I had no problems with the beat of the song but those lyrics were a bi-otch. :lol:

I also appreciate you's telling me what you didn't really like about the vid. Yeah I might have over did it with the fast clips.
I'll watch that next time. ;)

Anyway, big thanks again everyone for taking the time to watch and comment. Means alot to me.

Awesome movie Hollywood!

You chose the perfect song for doing a WOTW video. Your lyric matching was perfect as well even when the lyrics were difficult to match like the line about the closent door at 0:37 and the one about the injection. It was amazing how you matched every lyric to a scene in the movie.

Your editing was amazing as always. The whole vid was filled with superspeed cuts. It must have taken you forever to pick out all of those scenes and then time them up to the music. All of your editing and scene selection was great so I'll just mention my favorite parts:

You did a great job choosing scenes with really interesting camera angles like at 0:26 where the camera was on the side mirror of the car and at 1:19 where you showed two angles through the broken window.

My favorite part was the very beginning where you did the quick flashes/scene changes that were timed up perfectly with the music. That was really awesome.

The run from 0:30-35, where all the different peoples and places of the world were shown, was incredible editing. It was very cinematic. Also great lyric match there.

I also loved the part at 1:22 where the big alien was standing there and the drums hit and you flipped through the scenes really fast.

You did a great job putting together a bunch of different runs and themes outside of lyric matching. My favorite was from 2:05-230 where the lyrics stopped and the music kicked in and you showed everyone screaming and everything blowing up. That was cool.

The editing at 2:30 where you editing like 4 scenes rotating around the statue was another one of my favorite parts.

The ending was really cool where you zoomed through the War of the Worlds title to where it said Edited by Hollywood. Great ending.

Overall an amazing video. I can't imagine how long it took you to make this one.

I loved this movie (except for the very lame ending like many have pointed out)

This is definitely my fav non-smallville video.:D

First off, I'm happy that you liked the vid. It took me about 5 days to do actually. I've had vid block for like the past 2 or 3 months (last vid I made was that Smallville vid a while back) and I guess it went away for a little while. Actually I just think I have vid block for Lost right now. I had no trouble making this vid or the Clark one but everytime I try to do a new Lost vid, I just can't. Hmmm.....I'm gonna need to do something about that.

Second, I'm glad you liked the song choice. I wasn't sure if this song would work but it did I guess and I had fun vidding to it. I love fast paced songs to fast paced vids, they're my favs to watch and to make and this song helped me out alot in that department. Even though it was really hard to match the lyrics with the clips.

Third, I'm still in complete awe that you wrote all that up. :eek:

Fourth, thanks for listing all your favourite parts of the vid. Man you have alot, don't you? lol. I love it when people leave you feedback with a list of all the exact moments of the vid they liked. Thanks to you too liza, I'm glad you liked it. WOTW is one of my favs too. :D I actually didn't mind the ending. I mean they should've explained the ending a little better then what they did but I thought it was an alright ending. Also I still think someone should've died. I mean Ray or Robbie or even their mom or something. It was just unrealistic that not one of them got zapped. :lol: Oh well, I still LOVED it.
Oh and as soon as I finish my new Lost vid I'll post it on up here. I hope you're a fan of the show.

Wow - excellent editing! Also really cool how we could watch it right online- that was excellent, although I'm sure the file-size limits are tight.
I actually just watched that movie last week for the first time. I liked the effects, and there was a good portrayal of hopelessness and general panic.
You really got all of that through in your video. just a great all-around job. I hope to see a lot more from you!

This was way kick-butt awesome, Holls! I love the quick, frantic clip style to it. It really added to the feel of the song and the story. I also liked the quick overlays and slight colorizations. :) This vid is just so intense, I was afraid to blink in case I missed something! :p I really like the 'explination' and he's holding the dying plant and 'information' when he's talking to the reporter chick...Heck, I liked all of it! Really awesome! :cool: It must've taken you a while to do. Me definitely keeping this one. :cool: Thanks so much for renewing the link!
