The album is great but it's merely a small sample of the series, 10 seasons with one cd and I think the mark snow tracks are well not necessarily awful but there's so many highlights mainly in seasons 4,5 and 6 of his stuff and instead they put on slow ominous, boring cues.
I just wish they would put an isolated music track on the DVD set for every episode!

Does anyone know if the Justice League theme (the cue playing at the end of Justice) is on the soundtrack?

Oh God.....the music for Absolute Justice trailer reused for GG commercial right before the Smallville finale. smh at the CW for using that epic music for nonsense.

I thought it might be "Rigged to Blow" but listening to the song, I'm thinking it might be from "Nemesis" instead.
I believe that "The Final Stone" was from "Sacred" and "Their Only Poison" is from "Arrival".

I saw an article about the track's of Smallville being on Itunes, and one of them is called "A Lemur in the Room" too funny

"Trails" by Louis Febre was in the Finale just like I thought! THAT WAS AN AWESOME SCENE!!

Is the ending theme from "Descent", the music played at Lionel's funeral, on this soundtrack? If not, the soundtrack fails.
Edit: Oh, and the final Clark/Lana scene at the end of "Requiem". That's one of the most memorable pieces of music in the series.
I agree, that end song on "Requiem" was just the perfect track. Really went well with the scene... I had to watch it multiple times it was that good! :D

Does anyone know the song that plays in the Smallville Finale when Tess is in Watchtower trying to figure out what's going on, but all the satellites aren't working?
It's killing me not being able to find it...ugh!

I presume you don't mean "Breathe Again" by Sara Bareilles which was playing in the scene (Lois reading Clark's vows at the DP) leading up to Tess's scene at Watchtower? I'm pretty sure the music in the Watchtower scene was Louis Febre score music in a John Williams dramatic style.

No, not the song by Sara Bareilles. It's one of Febre's scores, but I can't find it. I checked his website but none of the songs in his Smallville playlist things are it.
Maybe in the future, someone will have it on youtube or something...:'(
This greatly depresses me.

I know this is a very vague description, but I'm trying to find the song that the show started using in the last couple of seasons as Clark's "Theme". Basically, anytime they were doing something fairly climactic, with a closeup of Clark or the Daily Planet, they would have this in the background. It's a lot like the first five seconds of http://grooveshark.com/s/Olympus+Coliseum/3PGRLJ?src=5 but more fanfarish.

You can listen to "Clark's Theme" in the complete Smallville Score!
The track: "Defeating Bizarro", "Boosrer Theme" and "Trials" have it!

Thank you! Now, listen to that, and then the link that I originally posted and tell me that they're not incredibly similar.... lol

I don't know if this has been discussed recently, but I was thinking it's about time we got a vol. 3 of the Smallville soundtracks. Maybe they could call it 'The Ace of Clubs Mix.' One song that should definitely be on it is that one by Apocalyptica that played at the end of Turbulence when Clark changed in the phone booth.
First off welcome to the board. I'm new here too so I extend a very big welcome.
Second, I agree 100% with you. I miss the show already and wish they could've put out one more soundtrack to kind of say goodbye and thank you to the fans who supported them. I would've included "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on there too. For some reason, that just strikes me as one song that would've fit perfectly with the series, whether it be the beginning or the later years.
I forgot all about that btw, the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" request for another soundtrack. I just remembered in the episode where Martha sent Lois and Clark the deed. Huh, the things you think of at random times.
I also loved the REM episode because they're one of my favorite bands of all time. I wish they could've done more episodes like that where it was centered around one band and it was perfect timing too. They had a CD coming out so they combined with the Smallville cast and crew and it seemed like it was made for Smallville.

Clark's theme is also basically the Season 8-10 ending credits theme :).

You know, I don't see y they couldn't put out more soundtracks for Smallville. I mean, I get the show is finished, but if you look at all the music on the show, they could put out tons of soundtracks. Not just from what was played on the show, but also music the show could always have considered to have inspired. How many did shows like The O.C. put out? How about One Tree Hill?
I get OTH is still going but weren't there a lot of songs listed on the WB music page back when it was still around? By that I mean weren't there quite a few songs that didn't get mentioned @ the end of each ep that they said go to the site and see all music used? By my count, we had three soundtracks and they could've put out at least 2, maybe 3 more.
Talon Mix and Metropolis Mix were used as titles, but how about titles like The WB Mix? The show was on The WB for quite a few yrs and that could reference any number of songs u know? How about The Fortress Mix?

I made my own Smallville soundtrack a few years ago. It goes something like this:
1. "Perfect Memory (I'll Remember You)" - Remy Zero
2. "Beautiful Day" - U2
3. "In My Place" - Coldplay
4. "Mad World" - Gary Jules
5. "Tomorrow" - SR-71
6. "Girls & Boys" - Good Charlotte
7. "My Immortal" - Evanescence
8. "Pain" - Jimmy Eat World
9. "Welcome to My Life" - Simple Plan
10. "This Is Your Life" - Switchfoot
11. "A Message" - Coldplay
12. "You're Beautiful" - James Blunt
13. "I Grieve" - Peter Gabriel
And in response to the OP (better late than never), that song was never featured on the show. Though I wish it was, because its one of my all time faves. However, "This Is Your Life" was used in Blank, which is also a great song.

I just thought of another title for a Smallville soundtrack. How about "The Mansion Mix"?
Not only that but they could always call a soundtrack The Talon Mix Vol. 2 or The Metropolis Mix Vol. 2 couldn't they?
Lucky Luke

Nah it would be better to have a different name for each. The Mansion Mix sounds good, though that would probably just be filled with opera music :p haha. One I thought of myself was The Planet Mix.

Planet Mix sounds good. I wouldn't mind seeing The WB Mix though. Kinda reminds me of how good and influential the network was. You know what I mean?

I think you can argue and discuss about all things Smallville but IMO there aren't 2 opinions about the fantastic (and fitting) music they've had in this show. Especially from S1-S5. Everytime I hear a song from the show in the radio I get reminded about the show and the scene that was attached to the song. I think my all-time favorite is A Message from Coldplay for obvious reasons but it's really hard to pick from so many great titles.

^ obvious because its Coldplay or another reason? But yeah I definitely agree that was one of the best. And I have such fond and nostalgic memories of all the music from Season 1. Takes me baaack!

I'm right there with you guys & gals! The music from S1-S5 was fantastic, but in the later seasons I also loved it when they featured music to the scenes.
Coldplay's "In My Place" will always hold a speciel place in my heart. Simply because we got a view of the cornfields, the sun was setting & we saw where the spaceship were. And also because of the Clana scene beforehand. It changed their dynamic forever.

I miss when it was Lifehouse in the eps. Coldplay was really good and also loved when they had bands like R.E.M. and folks like Andrew WK.
Wasn't there a commentary track on one of the dvds where Michael Rosenbaum said they should do a love song soundtrack called "The Loft Mix"? I get he was joking but that's still a good title!

^^ I actually can't remember, sorry. But now I'm thinking of Slumber with R.E.M songs playing in the background. Loved that! :)
Lifehouse songs was amazing as well. Really loved "Everything" & "You & Me"
Austin 3:16
12-03-2011, 05:10 PM
That's ok. Thought he said something like that but wasn't sure.
Slumber was a wonderful ep and I wish they could've done one more like that b4 it was all over.
The Lifehouse song from the first ep was pretty cool.
Would anyone else buy more Smallville soundtracks as long as they kept releasing them?

^ Yeah I would definitely.
And I now vaguely recall MR saying something about "The Loft Mix" now that you mention it!

I was listening to Feels Like Today recently and it made me smile because it reminded me of how good the show was.
The show may be over, but I would most absolutely buy more Smallville soundtracks.
