Whats the best video-game console ever?

I searched for this but couldn't find it.

So what do you people think is the best console ever? I'd have to say the Snes, the games are classic and always will be.

Does anyone Agree/Disagree?

I agree but only just. This was a great console. All my mates got jealous cus i had 1 and they didnt haha. The mario games are classic , the yoshi game (cant remember the name) was even better. Damn the snes was brilliant

The original NES. With classics like Super Mario Bros., the Legend of Zelda, Tecmo Bowl, etc. I think its the best system ever.

On a poll in a Gaming Forum (http://blueandamber.*********48.com/index.cgi?board=Safecracker) I moderate, I went for the Dreamcast. It was ahead of its time, and although I never owned one I saw enough to know it should have been much, much bigger than it was.

I owned a dreamcast. It was the first console with interent. Although the internet on it was pretty terrible. The shenmue games made it for me.


Shenmue 1 and 2 were truly brilliant games. Nothing much else I can say about it because it started to bore me after a while and the games were pretty crap then it was bye bye sega on the console front. I agree thoguh it should have been much bigger. I ended up selling my dreamcast to cash converters for a lowly £30 :lol:

NES for me. I prefered Super Mario Bros 3 to Mario World. SNES was a good console but it was the PS before I really got excited about gaming again.

I was actually one of the crazy people to buy a sega saturn before a playstation. How silly of me. It was mega crap. I ended up swapping it for a playstation about 3 months later. I never regretted that move.

PS 2. Definitely the PS 2, paved the way for X-Box, X-Box 360, and PS-3.

I just hope they wont stop making games for the PS 2 because there's no way in hell I'm gonna buy a new game console any time soon.

Once the next gen. consoles arrive in stores, you won't see games made for the PS2 anymore (as well as the X-Box and Gamecube.) Do you still see new PS1 or N64 games?

That being said, i think that xbox 360 is gonna prove that you can have amazing grapics,good fun, and storyline in a game.

Resident Evil Zero went against the first games from my experience. Really turned me off to play the game.

Played the 360s demos as well, loved playing as Kong and defeating the T-Rex. Hated the controls for Jack though.

According to my brother its a V-rex not a T-rex and I died on both of the demo levels, the only game I liked in the 360 demos was Call of duty 2.

I died more as Jack than any other character. Kong just took me a bit to get used to. I was killed by the Rex once then defeated him the second time.

First thing you had to do was put down the girl then get a hold of the Rex enough that you could do as you needed with him including breaking its jaws.

That was the tricky part. I hit him countless times the first time about the Rex effectively killed Kong. Second time, it was just a matter of grabbing a hold of the Rex and letting Kong use his strength to his full potential.

Oh okay, I didnt like the game either way lol, the grpahics were great though leaps and bounds ahead of the xbox.

Far as I know yes. I know for sure he's getting Project Gotham Racing 3 with it. I hope they have more races with jumps in it. The sequel was really lacking in the jumps department.

They love their Mario, Zelda, and SW games for it. Rogue Squardon was pretty cool especially in the bonus levels like playing Hoth planet in the snowspeeders.

There was also Shadows of the Empire game as well. That was very good. I still remember it for having the hardest level ever. Trying to beat the Slave II with Boba Fett :(. I think I passed that level on pure luck.

I really didn't like the Zelda Mask game for N64.

I tried to. I really tried, but it wasn't my thing :(. I have to be more activitely involved in my SW games.

Basically Link put on any Mask, and he would be part of that culture (a monster or a deku person). It was very lame.

I didn't use it until after I finished the game :lol:. I finish first, and then I used them to get to the gold medal in Rogue. I always got bloody silver :(.

Unless i'm mistaken the last level of II you were in the falcon and you had to go into the core of the Death star to blow it up.

I remember playing the Falcon as a bonus ship in Rogue 1 that's it.

:lol: I love the HP games. They rock, and are getting better with each new one made. PoA for me was the most fun to play the HP Trio. The Dementors with Sirius was the hardest part to for me. It was bloody hard to get those dementors off him, and I think I broke my controller :lol:. GoF I can't wait to get :D.

CoS was decent. Too easy to beat the Bastilik, but just right for a kid. PoA was fun because you can Ron, Harry, or Hermione. My dad gave up it because he couldn't pass a level :lol:. I was done with it in three days lol.

Yeah, I didnt like them that much in the movie seemed too... rushed.

The last rogue squad mission level was in a x-wing where you had to escort the flacon to the core of the death satr and blow it up.

Well, I mean not in the movie. I loved them in book, and the video games kinda follow the books somewhat more. In PoA game they mentioned Cho and Cedric while the movies there was no reference them :lol:. GoF film was rush period lol.

Nintendo 64 wins that award. It was revoltionary, innovative and completely original. The games were easy to pick up on and RARELY ever experienced extensive slow-mo lag.

The funniest thing about it was that the original Playstaion controller was deeply inspired by the SNES controller and once N64 arrived, the Playstation dualshock controllers came out!...Nintendo had a perfectly done system in the 64.

Up until recently it was my PS2. But I just got a 360. So I'd have to say its a tie between the two. I have a Wii but the games suck. Well, what I've played of Epic Mickey is pretty good.
