He is definately connected to it, because not only did it disappear when he did, but it seemed like he "had" to keep going back to it.

Very cool. That was such a great scene.

This is a good idea. I think Brainiac was basically the ship all along. He just dripped off some of himself in the form of Prof. Fine. Cool theory!

I think tptb gave us a hint that Fine was the ship when he was the truck in Splinter. Good call, superkent, 511.

Brainiac seems to much of an indepentent person from the ship. I think he just uses it to gas up on his powers when he is low. If Fine was the ship, I doubt he would have let Lex get a hold of it. I still don't know why he would let Lex hold on to it. I hope we see a lot of Milton Fine.

he is definately the ship.. I havenīt thought about the black truck being brainic, but this makes sense...

and i guess he let lex had the ship, because he was pretty certain that lex wasnīt capable of doing something useful with it... and you know how difficult it is, to find such a secure parking space nowadays :P

I think that the ship is made out of wax, and the Sun melted the ship.

wow...the truck being Braniac -- that's brilliant! That makes Splinter make even more sense -- Fine being the person who text paged Clark (pretending to be Lana), giving lana the silver K (pretending it was from Lex), making the strange calls to Clark's phone, and pushing Clark just enough to the edge that he would trust him -- the truck just adds more to the subtle Palpatine-like manipulations that perfectly set up Clark to be so gullible in this episode. Thank goodness for Chloe! (and Jor-El in Lionel tipping her off).

Maybe Brainiac was taken to the Phantom Zone. I severely doubt that he is dead. He is surely a major character, and that would be like killing off Jonathan, (see my thirty minute speech on how it's sure to be him.) Anyway, Brainiac is a critical character, and I have my doubts as to whether killing him off would be as easy as pushing him into a bunch of crystals.

I think that Brainiac just uses the ship to recharge himself. Maybe he can only stay in his human form for a limited amount of time before he becomes green.
