I don't see why she woudn't tell Clark, by eps end Brianiac is gonna be sooo busted!

Great job on her part, even though she was too late to tell Clark about him she knew enough to go to the caves thanks to pa kents help and get to the FOS in time to take the green K off Clarks chest so he could pull the black crystal he put into the FOS to destroy it.

if people knew it was there, he could not do anything to protect it.

the best bet is enough security to keep random people out and little enough that it doesnt draw attention.

The security cameras became fuzzy in the beginning so even if Lex changed, he wouldn't have been able to see anything.
