Maybe it's just how he walks all the time, the slightly cockeyed stride, but it was very prominent in the shot where he passed Chloe in the phone booth. :)

Considerating it is the same actor and all, is understandable. Now if he had on a leather treachcoat with that stride.....that would be total Spike!

No matter what James Marsters goes on to do. Shakespear, Broadway, or Smallville. He will always suffer the type cast of Spike. And to me that just fine.... Milton Fine.

Hear, hear. If you're gonna be typecast, might as well be as one of the funniest, most badd-ass TV characters out there!

Yeppers! He's always Spike to me! That doesn't mean he shouldn't do other stuff though, he's a brillant actor.:D

Yeah! I noticed that too! I liked it! After being a character for so long you are bound to pick up and keep one of his traits. James kept the Spike bad-ass villian walk, which suits his character just perfectly.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did that on purpose. There are a lot of references to Marsters playing Spike on the show.
