Was it just my area, or did everyone's commercial break extend into the show? I missed what happened up until Jor-El said that everything was in motion already or something like that...

Oh jeesh! Hope that doesn't happen here! If it doesn't i'll be happen to recap for you, but I still got 25 minutes before it starts, so you might wanna ask someone in a different area that saw the whole thing.

I'm bumping this up hoping someone can help. We missed much of Clark's scene with Jor-El and don't know what was said

basically it was Clark saying " don't take my mom" and Jor-el said " step off fool it wasn't me" ...okay let me watch it again and get back to you.

How can they allow the commercials cut into the show's time?
glad it dosen't happen where I live.

Obvisously this is set in the FOS, and the whole time is holding the ice-sickle that looks strangley like....um...nevermind...
Jor-el: "Kal-el, why have you come?"
Clark: "Please, do whatever you want to me, leave my mother alone!"
Jor-el: "I have caused your mother no harm."
Clark: "No! Don't lie to me! If had known someone close to me would die I would have given up my life in a second."
Jor-el: "It was you who chose to give up your powers and turn your back on me."
Clark: "Please let her live."
Jor-el: "I'm sorry my son. The wheel of fate has already been set in motion, even you cannot alter destiny."

I saw the whole scene and had no problems. Maybe they had time to fix the problem by the time it aired on the west coast.

I'm East coast too, but mine wasn't interrupted (Thank God!) :)
I saw the above scene. I guess it depends on your cable company's WB affiliate. :\

The whole show was a commercial where Lois advertised for the car.
