The episode was far better than the trailer. Half of the content was pre-recorded audio of Jor-El from the Superman: The Movie movie.

Trailer won me over more than the show.
I was more excited for the trailer than anything else. I kept looking at my watch thinking they better show this teaser now!

Loved both the episode and the teaser trailer.

Dang so many complain about trailers that show too much, which this trailer didn't.
Brando as Jor-El talking to his son in S:TM always chokes me up and it did it here too.
Can't wait until next summer!

I was on the edge of my seat!!!...for the episode. The Superman Returns movie trailer looks interesting, and now I guess I might go and see it, but I still enjoyed the episode much more.
oh...and speaking of short trailers that show nothing - was it just me, or did Lex-mas look like the shortest trailer on the planet? Maybe my tv station just accidentally cut it short, but all I saw was Lex sitting in a chair staring at nothing...why?

I think Tom made a mistake by not taking that gig. Brandon looked good and big as Superman. Think that it will be a winner.

I was way more excited to watch Smallville tonight lots of action! I was screamin!! but to see the trailer of Superman returns, not only was I sadden that Christopher Reeve wouldn't be able to watch it, but Jor el talking too choked me up because we all watch Smallville for this purpose, and I know that this movie kind of messes things up with what we know already but I hope that it works out but it look pretty awesome more then Batman did.
I can't wait to see it! 2006 is goin to be awesome

I loved the episode, but the trailer was the one that wanted me to see the movie.
I didn't like the ending of "Solitude". I don't know what the point was to the "thundering" sound at the end of the episode since it really wasn't a cliffhanger. I was hoping he would return back to the FoS, and actually ask what happened on Krypton.

Oh, I know it is just because he "has" to. I want to see actually have a drive for a thirst of knowledge of his other hertiage. Not to be force to learn it.

Yeah they need to work up the 'need to know' in Clark. It seems to have died along with the Swann Character and story line.
I think what will happen, if JK is the one to shuffle off the mortal coil that is, Clark will feel rage at Jor-El.
But due to Martha maybe or maybe not he will finally see what Jor-El was talking about and see him in a new light then he will seek his counsel and advice.
Maybe, just me theorizing.
