There aren't going to be any Superman movies starring Tom Welling. The only film is going to SUPERMAN RETURNS, which respects the 1979 Superman movie.

I don't think she needs to be a slut at all, but it seems in this latest run that she does tend to move from boy to boy. However the girl in the above picture does look the part. I keep saying that I think they should get Elisha Cuthbert (not sure of the spelling), but my girlfriend hates that Idea. Id say this chick is probably a better fit for the character.

interesting thread, I said elsewhere that I believe they should introduce Supergirl in one of the Superman returns movies, give her some good parts and if the fans approve then give her, her own spinoff movie.

Despite what some have said about the old Supergirl movie, for what it was I sort of liked it. just recently saw it again with a little bit of extra footage.

As far as my choice on who would play her now in the movies I guess I really do not have a clue. There was some good choices here.

We know of the rumor that Tom was offered the role of Superman in the new JLA movie but who knows if that will come true or not either. Hope so :)

Thats not true! I LOVE Smallville but I think Tom and a few others of the cast are not good actors at all. They can pull of the half our to 45 min weekly episodes alright but I doubt they would be able to do a full movie of anything. If they remake Supergirl, Kristen Bell would be perfect. She's incredibly hot, she has the innocent aspect to her and with those sexy eyes she could incite fear into a any bad guy. Plus she would look smoking hot in the costume!

Looks to me that most people are too concerned with who should play Supergirl - almost more concerned than who should play a new Superman. There are literally thousands of sweet young girls out there who can play Supergirl, but only a handful of writers and directors who'd do a great job, and that should be our main concern!

No thanks. I didn't like her as Kara and she did nothing to sell me on the idea of her being a future Superhero. She played the role more like, 90210 Kara, then Kara Zor-El, future superhero. Of course, some of that might have come from the network's notes. The CW focuses on teenage girls, so when they brought in Kara, the network might have said (I have no evidence that they did or didn't); "We want her to become interested in popular culture, perhaps enter a beuty pagent".

Yeah, you're right. Besides, when you think about it; Should we really be standing around suggesting actresses to play Supergirl, when we don't even really know if the actress in question could (or would want) play the role? You know, it takes a little more then just being blonde and just because an actor or actress was great in one role, doesn't mean that they'd be the right person for another role. Take Nick Cage for one, he was great in The Rock and several other movies, but he was totally wrong to play Johnny Blaze.

I see the Superman Homepage is stating that Tricia Helfer might sign up to a 4 picture deal.

She looks good but is slightly too old for what they want.
