what just happened with fine and the kryptonite

i took it as there is no such thing as silver kryptonite (at least in meteor rock form). Brainiac made it and since he is kryptonian, he can decide the effects. At the end, Brainiac absorbed the silver k that he put on the rock and dropped it. The rock became normal. That's how I understood it.

Yeah, I figured he created it, but I'm not sure why. Was he giving Kal-El a test, or just wanted to get him out of the way, turn his back on the lowly humans (think Ferengi and "huuuumons")? Or does he want him out of the way so he can be the one Kryptonian commanding Earth?

I think Fine wants Clark to look at him as someone he can trust, so Clark can go to him when he needs help. Of all the people that "betrayed" Clark in his delusional state, Fine was the only one that didn't, as far as Clark knows. It'll get Clark to think he can trust him enough to take him to the FOS, as seen in the preview.

I think that silver kryptonite was just a part of brainiac's body that got into Clark and make him delusional and he recovered it at the end. I don't think that exist at all.

i agree. it seems that the "silver" part of the silver kryptonite was brainiac and when clark touch it, he inserted himself into clark's body and began feeding him delusions which helped his cause.

I always thought Brainiac was the kryptonian super computer that destroyed krypton. What was he originally where did he come from. And his goal is to obtain all the Knowledge of a Planet and after he gets all of the Knowledge destroy the planet like he did Krypton. I heard that Braniac betrayed the kryptonian people and that Ja-rel was the only one that tried to stop him. what his connection to the Eradicator

I could be wrong but I think it varies from version to version. In one version the computer destroyed krypton... in another it didn't destroy it but rather figured it could survive easier if it didn't tell them the planet was dieing.

And I think that Braniac doesn't so much want to kill Clark as it/he wants to control and use him to continue on with the race via his own path and ideas...

I could be very very wrong though.

I was way off! I thought that for Braniac the silver kryptonite was a drug. If you look at his face when he's reabsorbing it, he looks like he's taking drugs. Oops, my mistake. :D

Yeah i was confused at that part too until i thought about it later on and finally it hit me, well, brainiac gave it to clark and then healed him so that he can take advantage of clark's trust later on

LoL I just realized something...I posted that Brainiac looked like he was taking drugs...but then after that I said his character is awesome (which he is), but the order in which I wrote it, makes it seem as though I think he is awesome because he looked like he was taking drugs....oops....another mistake on my part. *shakes head --- I need to be more careful when I post things of this nature!*

I originally understood it as Fine absorbing the silver out of silver K so he was getting rid of the effects and making sure that no one could harm it again.

Then I saw "Solitude" and found Fine to be evil and realized that the silver K was probably a hoax.
