I'm not worried, even though my heart went into my mouth at that totally unexpected protestation from her---but, I know my Chloe is and will be safe and sound!!:) :) :) :)

When I heard that line, I didn't think it meant she was going to die, I just thought about Alicia. ow she said the same thing, but gave up the info anyway. It's like the kiss of death. I do not want Chloe to die.

Oh my, now I'm more convinced that it's very likely that it's gonna happen but still...timing is everything. Most likely Chloe's death will be on the last episode. Clark still needs a search engine afterall.

I don't think Chloe will die, I think they stuck that in to make us think it will be her. But I still yelled at the TV "Don't say that" when she said that line. It makes me a little nervous.

But they also made a big deal about Jonathan's heart when he and Martha were talking in the kitchen about the Senate run.

I do agree with those of you who felt Chloe's wording was just too explicit and seemed like an obvious red herring because of it. It could be argued just as strongly that the "Jonathan's bad heart" reference was just as explicit a red herring.

Which leaves me thinking that since Jonathan and Chloe seem so obvious, maybe the death is someone else entirely. (Or, preferably, no one at all, but I know we're not going to be that lucky.)

If they do, it'll be one of the dumbest things they've every done. Aside from introducing Lois Lane so early, despite the fact that I like Erica Durance on the show, but it just doens't go along with other Superman mythos timelines. Oh well.

And even though I don't trust spoilers that much, the Vengence one does look like she'll be around, but not because of the spoiler which could be fake, but because from several sources regarding Al Gough's and Allison's comment about the last half of the season and into season 6....."I'm going to have a great YEAR aren't I??"

I'm not as worried as I was Thursday night. I've sorta had a chance to think about it more clearly, and it's quite likely that that was just put in so we'd all worry (which I am very good at). Talk about panic, well Chloe's remark totally threw me off and my heart went straight to my throat and my stomach hurt!!

You know the feeling how the nerves are connected to the stomach and throat areas---not pleasant!!:( :(

But Thursday night those 'fiends' in the writer's deptarment achieved their objective for the episode---"full shock value"!:mad:

(You have the super scene with Chloe. The intensity Chloe was pouring into making her point about never telling his secret and even saying she'd die first before she told anyone his secret. With the camera zooming on her face letting us see the conviction in her eyes .)

To me it seemed like relief that Chloe told him 100% the truth but as soon as she said the "I'd rather die..." line, something changed in his eyes. Now I don't know if I was the only one to see this but I saw almost immediate worry streak across his face for only a moment, but even as he hugged her it stayed in his eyes.

He realized those are almost exactly the same words Jor-el used!

Then the camera pans in on Chloe, to show her face while they are hugging, she seems surprised by this hug and concerned, she knows something's wrong, that Clark hasn't told her everything about Jor-El. Also she's hugging him quite tightly.

We've had death warnings:

First strike - "Exposed's" Angel Wings

Second Strike - "I'd never betray your secret Clark. I rather die for you than betray your secret."

If there's a third then...I'll be serious worried for Chloe!

Even though I'm worried for Chloe, I still stick with my Lionel and Jor-El theory.

What really got me Upset when Clark said "I shouldn't have Trusted you" I said NOOOOOOO!!!
But i didn't know Clark was under the influence.
