I continue to stick to my original theory from the beginning: Marsters is playing Zod in Smallville. Brainiac is only somehow a tool, computer, or program that he uses.

Marsters is Zod!

And I have an alternate theory where this is brainiac who has chosen the form of Zod... so later on, Marsters plays Zod... he plays both

But... you've been responding saying Zod created brainiac... I Brainiac has several origins, but I don't think any of them included Zod creating Brainiac... maybe it's true for this series...

But I think they may be different entities in Smallville... but that they will be played by the same actor (Marsters), if they are different

For right now, I think that Marsters is Zod, who was banished to Earth and awaiting Brainiac, the ship, to come to him... the only thing I don't get is the liquid turning into Marsters in the first ep

I actually like your idea Reign.

I was wondering how Brainiac would have chosen his form. It's not like he just intefaced with a computer and then chose it. He oozed from the ship and immediately took the form of Marsters.

That would be awesome if Brainiac looks like Zod and then Marsters could play Zod too.

I'm just dying to hear someone say "Kneel before Zod" on this show.

I don't see how this is so hard... Masters even says in an interview that he plays Brainiac and goes on to describe Brainiac and his goals...

He's not a kryptonian... Brainiac always had some "powers" like stregnth, flight, and speed to a certain degree. I'm pretty sure the heat vision was created for SV eventhough some versions of Brainiac in the comics could shoot ray type beams.

When is the last time you saw Clark turn into an oil slick and move across the floor? Or merge absorb silver kryptonite through his hands? Or turn his arms into two large swords to kill someone with?

Fine may say he's from Krypton and in a sense that's true since that's where he was created.

I think we all agree that Marsters is Brainiac.

But the possibility remains that Brainiac mimics Zod when in human form. Leaving open the possibility that Marsters may play Zod as well. I mean that explain why Brainiac would have his human form mimic Kryptonian powers.

There's a simple explanation. Buffy, the Vampire Slayer was a popular show on Krypton. Brainiac had all the episodes downloaded on his massive computer and he would watch them whenever he had the spare time.
