Can I just say how much I really enjoy James Masters on Smallville!? He is doing so well with this character!. In my opinion, I think he's probably the best guest star to ever appear on smallville! Every scene I see him in always gives me the chills! and the fight scene was indeed awesome!!!!!! I LOVED this episode!!!! :)

I liked the episode, but I think I was too psyched up for it because of the spoilers. Great episode, but I had a vision for it, and it didn't live up to the vision. Marsters ROCKS though, he's awesome.

Great fight - great way to reveal to Clark that there's another K on earth. I loved his line about 'you guys keep popping up' that was hilarious.

I was surprised Brainiac could hold Clark down without Clark putting up much of a fight at the end. I mean, I realize they both have super strength, but it looks like Fine was stronger than Clark and Clark just laid there and took it.

Marsters is definitely my favorite guest star. (I love Lois, but she's a regular now, so no longer counts :) )

I don't know how he does it, but he really brings something special to any character he portrays.

But, I will say...the writers really give him great dialogue to work with.

I'm not sure how much sense it makes for a machine aka brainac to have heat vision and super speed. It didn't make sense to me.

Yes his abilities seem countless. It makes me think that Clark can't beat him next week and that Jor-el has to. After all isn't it more Jor-el's mess. Could of been Clark not being in his right mind to know what to do against him.

I thought about Fine's (Brainiac) abilities. He probably ran some comparisons to how Kryptonion physiology would change when he came to Earth, (from red to yellow sun environment). He could have easily mimicked those abilities. I suspect he had more abilities than Kryptonions had on Krypton, so him being more powerful than Clark is no surprise.

But if Braniac was originally designed for Krypton, I thought his abilities would be the same as Clarks, not more.

I thought any object from Krypton gained the powers of the yellow sun. The octagonal key was invulnerable and if it had legs it might have had super speed as well.
