This scene in the hallway with Clark and Lex, I was waiting for them to pull out lightsabers and start dueling. Clark had that Anakin Episode III sick-eyed look. In reality, it should be Lex that goes to the Dark Side

Hmmm...now Clark (Anakin) is choking Lana (Padme')...lol

:rotfl: :lol: :rotfl:

"You will not take her from me!!"

Someone like a brother turning against you?

Choking your lady love?

Coincidence? I think not.

Hey, great catch! Clark really did look like he was a paranoid Sith Lord. And here I always thought that Lex was supposed to be Anakin. :lol:

I hear MR is a big Star Wars fan. I'm sure he would have loved for Lex and Clark to duel with lightsabers. :D

Lex would prolly win though as he can buy and construct a superduper lightsaber opposed to the farm crap Clark will prolly have ;)

That is the funniest thing.. I swear to you, as soon as the episode was over, I went into my basement(which is finished, Im not weird) and I put in my Star Wars Episode III dvd and skipped right to that fight scene... how weird is that?..

It's really nothing new to me and almost expectant Smallville will try and rip a scene or person from a movie. Season 5 is full of them already.

The projection on the wall in the classroom reminded me of "I Know What You Did Last SUmmer.."

That reminded me of some MTV or VH1 thing where they were poking fun at Star Wars thing where Anakin (Jimmy Fallon) is trying to decide what size cupholders he should use, and he's accidentally choking Padame with that thingy where he doesn't have to touch something to touch or squeeze it. He's going "Big, small. Big, small." and opening and closing his hand, and Padame turns blue and then Obi-Wan comes in, and Anakin drops her because he notices that Obi-Wan got BBQ sauce on his bathrobe. They have a battle, and Anakin does some backflippy thing and falls off of a cliff into lava, just like Gollum. I told/acted it out to my friend, and she laughed so hard she had an asthma attack!! What made it even funnier is that we were reading a fic that morning in which Lana dies from a panic/asthma attack. :p

I was so into the episode that that hadn't even crossed my mind! Awesome catch. This is like the 3rd Star Wars reference in this season (first with Fisher then the 1138 and now this). I really hope they do more :D

Clark: "You've turned her against me."

Lex: "You have done that yourself."

I have noticed this similarity before, and wondered if it was intentional.
At the end of Mortal, when Clark is in the loft with Chloe - he turns to her and says something like 'why didn't I listen to him' - He looked just like Anakin from Episode II when he was telling Padame that he killed at the Sand People. Same look in his eye, same tone of voice - it was a little creepy..

I watched Smallville again last night, and I dont usually watch the same episode twice in 1 day, and they were very similar with the whole, "You turned against me", business and the look in their eyes and stuff, especially when Clark confronted Lex in the hallway of the Luthor Mansion.

Actually, not weird at all. After the episode finished and I couldn't get on to the forum because the server was busy, I popped in my Episode III DVD too and watched right from the part Anakin pledged his allegience to Palpatine all the way to the end of the movie. It was a nice way to let the time pass by. As soon as the movie was done, I went back online and actually could get in the forum!!!

Clark = Anakin
Lex = Obi-Wan (weird, I know)
Lana = Padme (w/ the whole choking thing)
Prof. Fine = Palpatine (him trying to convert Clark to his ways)

Actually, if ya think about it, Silver K was kind of a combo of that and Red K, cuz its one thing to just think everyone is against you, but then to try to kill them all?.. Thats alittle more than just paranoia I think. Thats why hes alot like Anakin, because Anakin wanted to punish his enemies, and thats they way Clark felt here

Wow, Prof. Fine as Palpatine is a good thought too...

Prof. Fine (TO Clark): Execute Order 66

Jonathan & Martha as Uncle Owen & Aunt Beru

Martha: Clark can't stay here forever, most of his friends are gone. Clark's just not a FARMER, Jonathan, he has too much of his FATHER in him

Jonathan: That's what I'm afraid of.

That's a good one! :)

Man, there are so many similarities that it is almost unbelievable!

Waiting for Jor-El to admit that he is not Clark's father, but that Clark was made by little micro-organisms called Midi-Chlorians

Clark definetely has some force powers. He was able to pull the crystal towards him in "Crusade" and he used Jedi mind power to erase Lex's memory of him using his powers.
