This ep is great because it gives almost a perfect exaggerated feel of what it's like to be paranoid. I mean, if you've ever been paranoid about someone cheating on you or anything, you know how unreasonable you can seem, even to yourself. Everything you see/hear seems taken out of its proper proportion. I think if enhanced artificially, it could seem very much like this.

Yes. I dropped two quads of acid many, many years ago and was looped for eight to ten hours. It was my first real trip after using smaller amounts before and I was scared to death for the first few hours. I thought that gravity had been adjusted 90 degrees from normal and walked like an idiot bent over with my head parallel to the ground to "counteract" the effect. I heard snippets of conversations in my head from hours before, trees whispered to me and the stars made a tinkling sound like a moving chandelier as they twinkled in the sky. Feelings and fears became amplified and all perception went out the window. It was all very much like Clark experienced except the degree of paranoia was nowhere near as amped as Clark.

I'm parinoid with some things. Like Clark, I sometimes feel as if the world is out to get me because my life is just going by so fast and throwing so many things at me at once that I feel I won't be able to handle it all.

Then I'm parinoid of the people around me because I don't know who I can trust.

I don't think I've ever been really paranoid. Well, maybe this once when my brother and I were playing flashlight tag and I thought someone was following me. Someone was. It was my younger cousin. :p

Paranoid? That's what those doctors said. But they didn't know, see. There really is a conspiracy. I'm onto them and they know. "You need to get out more" my family said. Yeah, right. Once I leave the house they'll get me. I'm fine right here. I've been fine without sleep, it's only been 4 or 5 months. Oh, don't worry, I have company.
