It was fake as fake can be. Lana didn't lie about "never doing that" to Clark. Although, she did kind of leave off the part where she's investigating the spaceship with Lex, which was real. :)

I think it was fake, but as soon as Clark finds out that Lana and Lex really were talking about a ship, he might start question some things about their relationship. Like why would she feel comfortable talking about this stuff with Lex and not him?
