ok forget the bow and arrow but what about a big jump over a revene or somethine in the charger and having the screan freeze in mid air with a voice over saying "now those kent better learn how to fly or there in a hole heap of trouble", then cutting to comercial. is that to much to ask

Problem is, phatum, too many references or a very obvious reference has a risk of turning plain cheesy. :p Fortunately, I think TPTB did OK with the references.. the car jump was funny and I honestly don't think anything was majorly "overdone".

I noticed it to when Lex said your Good
Ole Boy I liked to have busted out laughing and I could tell that Micheal
Rosenbaumb was trying so so hard to
stay in chracter when he said that line

I think Michael was smirking when he said that line. It might of been that Lex felt good and smug for standing up to Jonathan but I wonder if knowing the way Michael is he was just trying not to laugh

I thought they handled the Duke's references and stuff well. And the story about Jack and Jonathan when they were younger getting in trouble in Chickisaw was cute. Kinda helped show Jonathan wasnt always quite the way he is now.

If they had gone too far it might of seriously been too cheesy but the writers pulled this off very well if yah ask me.

One of my favorite episodes of the series simply because it was over all a fun episode.

Well plus he put a little accent in it when he said it as well...

But yeah there were a lot of subtle Dukes references and anyone who watched DOH regularly should have caught them...I think anything more obvious would have kind of been overkill though
