I noticed there was a shot of the Daily Planet globe again, just wondering if anyone could get a screen cap to see if his reflection is in this one also.

It seems like they may have enhanced it. It's even easier to see his reflection in the pic you posted now than in Thirst. Well we know this episode is not from the future, so they probably just threw it in there as a bonus.

I think it's in the globe itself. It's hard to see a figure, but kinda.

The reflection is in the globe.
It is an image of a person in a cape standing with their hands on their hips.

I think its like looking at a cloud and some people see an elephant and others just see a cloud.
I just see a cloud. There is no Superman image in there. Magneto, I do see.

I added the negative image and an outline to Turb0's image.

As cool as this is...I think it's a coincidence. I'm an A/V nut so I edited down a captured version of last night's episode to just those two seconds of an establishing shot. Then I looped the video back and forth. Despite getting slightly hypnotized by moving in and out, back and forth, it became clear to me that there is no Superman image in the globe that was put there intentionally. The objects in the reflection LOOK like superman, but actually are not. Let me explain...
-The following is best to read while viewing the original screenshot posted first in this thread
http://img489.imageshack.us/img489/8823/exposed1fm.jpg
-The "underwear" part of the superman suit (the red part around his crotch) is just a reflection of one of the four triangles that make up the pointed glass roof on top of the Daily Planet.
-The "hands" which are black on the globe (and white in the negative of the screenshot) are actually the four corners of the first tier of the planet. These would be the corners of the balcony area Clark is standing on in Season 2 when he makes his jump next door to LutherCorp in the episode "Insurgence." If you look closely you can see the other two darkened corners, one of which is just where the globe meets the pointed roof.
-The "cape" is a distorted reflection of the overall building outline from above. In a mirror this would appear square, but due to the curvature of the globe it takes on a more trapezoidal shape. As the globe slants away from facing down the Daily Planet building, it begins to reflect more horizontally. If you look closely you can see the curved horizon line of metropolis off in the distance.
-The "S" on the suit could be any number of things in the distance. A body of water, a grove of trees in a park, the Sharks stadium, anything.
-And then the "head", I'll admit this is the most confusing. Going based on what I've said, the horizon seems to flatten out the further you get away from the Daily Planet building, meaning that the head is apparently a lone skyscraper in a very flat part of Metropolis. We are seeing this structure from the side, and in the image it appears to be leaning to the left, however that is just distortion caused by the rounded reflective surface of the globe.
-If any of you have visted google maps, and viewed satellite mode, take a look at Paris, France. The distorted shadow and curvature of the Eiffel Tower will give you a similar perspective as to what we're seeing in the Globe.
-I'm not trying to burst any bubbles, and I think it would be awesome if the FX guys hid some easter eggs in for us, but as of right now it just seems to be coincidence, and a matter of seeing what we "want" to see. Think ink blots, you see what you want to see, not what was put there by a random ink blot.

None are so blind as he who will not see.
Now me I'm a Computer Generated Image nut and let me tell you, the reflections from the rooftop do NOT add up to the image that appears in the globe.
The head is the key. that is a complete fabrication but even those few elements which sorta should be there as actual reflections have been very obviously adjusted to make a very specific man figure emerge.

I can see what you are saying, I think his head looks like a distant building in the distance.
However, even if these are just pieces of the building they were intentionally put there to creat an image of Supes. Add to that the fact that we see it when Chloe says future home of superheros or something like that, otherwise the chances got to be like a million to one for it to come out like that.

I can definately see the Supes, but is it just me, or is he wearing mostly yellow? and a bit of red around his neck and for his symbol? What's up with that. For a second, I was wondering if he was a different superhero? (Maybe they're doing some advertising for the flash :)).

unless he wears a white cape, i don't see it..i see magneto holding someone in white in his arms..haha
the only superman type reflection i can see is in the very bottom left hand "corner" of the globe
but everything in there is totally just a reflection of the buildings around it..people seem to see whatever they want in things sometimes..like the jesus in a grilled cheese sandwich, or virgin mary in a salt stain..lol

I still agree with the magneto helmet observation. The stance does look like a Supes thing to do, however.

There is no way that is Superman, or anyone else's reflection.
A reflection would be relatively the same size or SMALLER image of the actual source.
To see a reflection of superman in that picture, Superman himself would have to be between us and the globe.
At BEST it is a maginifed image of something beyond the globe (since it seems somewhat translucent). In which case the image would be inverted... so superman would be hanging upside down.
Now unless there was a distinct updraft, his cape would be hanging towards the Earth, not towards the sky. (as would be the case with the inverted image)
In short, its not a reflection. Its not a magnification. Of any object relatively the size of a human.
Which thus leaves us with the surrounding buildings of metropolis.
What if the head is actually Luthorcorp?

Thanks Eh?Man for the negative pic, and Turb0 for the original.
Maybe it's cuz I read the "Magento's helmet" post just before I saw the pic again, but now I see Magneto in the original shot and Superman in the negative version. (argh. Looking so close to the monitor for so long can in no way be good for my eyes....)

I think the image was put there intentionally by the CGI people who made the globe... it's not unheard of that they'd ddo something like that... but it's not a true reflection of Superman standing in front of the globe... it's an image placed inside it
the level of likeness is beyond coincidental... and I think the cape is the telltale since it's blowing in the direction that normally does in pictures... i did a negative of the picture as well and increased the contrast... it comes out quite clear... the proportions of the body are relatively accurate as well
I don't think the image is a coincident reflection of the Planet building... there would be a little more symmetry to the reflection

I can see Magneto AND Superman AND Flash (sort of) AND the dog that's a little the the right if you look at it sideways...maybe it's Krypto? But it looks a little scruffy to be him.

This globe is made on the computer...There arent really any buildings to be reflected off the globe if thats the only shot they want. In other words its not a reflection of a buliding because its computer generated and there really is no need for them to reflect something thats not on the screen. So this is superman, check out the other thread in the "Thirst" section. There are better pics
