5 minutes till it's over and I just now realized that Lana was not in it at all. I kinda feel bad cause this has been my favorite show. Not even a moention. Wonder why? She's not directing is she? :rotfl:

I think they're partially trying to distance us from the family to move Clark into adult hood, but I have no doubt in my mind we'll be seeing them back in full force either way.

KK and MR are leads, they have to appear in every episode unless they agree not to by contract. She's probably fiming Partition instead. It is a first though, I'm sure the Lana haters are estatic.

Technically, they don't. Under their contract they are allowed to not be in episodes, but they still get paid for them. It's a common thing in TV.

Sorry, that's wrong. They are garunteed to be in *every* episode. Screen time is as important to actors as money is. Unless KK agrees, she must appear. As does MR.

Screen time is not guranteed and it has been a common part of the current contracts in the industry. Actors/Actresses can get paid for episodes in which they don't appear in. They contracts clearly define that and allows for such things to happen unless they breach their contract.

Actually, Lana was mentioned at the beginning of the episode by Clark. Clark told Jonathon that Lana was on a trip with her class and that all weekend he would be without Lana.

I thought it was more like 6/8ths naked Lois.

Lana can't handle secrets, or being undercover, would be horrified at the girls being naked.

Clark Kent and Lex Luthor are the main characters. Everyone else is just a supporting character. They are used to help further develop the main characters into what they will become. In spite of how much some people may like Lana or Martha there is no reason for them to be in every episode.

And yes she was mentioned in the beginning right before the other Duke pulled up. (someone said she wasn't)

They actually did give a half-second explanation. She's on some field trip with her astronomy class. Because she randomly wants to be an astronomer now. Whatever. I really didn't miss her that much.

i was wondering where martha was but she will probably be back next week. busy working at the talon i guess. we havent seen lionel luthor either maybe they r having a secrete affiar. it is a surprise lana wasnt in it cause this had to be the first episode ever she wasnt in. but she hasnt really given much to the show recently in plotline. lois and chloe are doing more for the story line.

Thang GOD Lana wasn't in this episode, that might be one reason I loved it so much. She adds nothing to the plot, or the show, and just takes up space with her whining and her constant irritating attitude. Here's hoping an asteroid hits her or something.

Actually, Lana was mentioned at the end scene where Clark with box of Lois' junk in his arms helps her move into the apt. over the Talon.

You know the scene? He expressed a sense of dismay of not going back up there again now that Lois has moved in and out of the Kent farm.

Lois says...."I'm taking her sublet, not her place..."

Also, could that statement mean another foreshadowing of the inevitable 'Lois and Clark"????:\

I was wondering where the hell Lana was the whole time too! But I can understand why and agreed with the writers that they left her out because HOW MESSED UP WOULD IT BE after Clark’s been to a strip club, got a lap dance, and then he goes home to kiss Lana and cuddle like nothings wrong. I mean, he wasn’t cheating but would he tell her? Umm… I’m thinking not!!
