Ok, at what point did she get into it? She was tragic. It was funny and she nailed the right awkwardsness of it. She was hilarious, but I was hoping she would let it rip(not literly).

She got into the whole attitude near the end of her dance. It wasn't the best but she gave it a shot.

Honestly how many of you could just go out there and get into it? It's not as easy as it looks, awkwardness is endearing ;)
lookingformylois
11-03-2005, 06:32 PM
it no different than playing football on a friday or saturday
~*Lois & Clark Fan*~
11-03-2005, 06:34 PM
Umm it's ALOT different. This is showing skin in front of alot of people, football pales in comparison
LexLuthorMetropolis
11-03-2005, 06:35 PM
I'd have to be out of it to do something that crazy.

cheerleaders show skin , it was just alot rough around the edges
LexLuthorMetropolis
11-03-2005, 06:49 PM
Usually strippers show it all. That's a completely different ball game compared to what we saw tonight.
lookingformylois
11-03-2005, 06:50 PM

JRoe85
11-03-2005, 06:51 PM
yea the cheerleader-stripper comparison is not a good one...much harder to strip by yourself and take your cloths off rather.
LexLuthorMetropolis
11-03-2005, 06:52 PM
Cheerleaders truly get to keep their clothes on, while Strippers not so much though it varies from club to club.
~*Lois & Clark Fan*~
11-03-2005, 06:57 PM
Cheerleaders, they show their legs, yeah that's alot of skin, strippers are on a stage naked in front of complete strangers, BIG difference
LexLuthorMetropolis
11-03-2005, 06:58 PM
That and they also do lapdances.

I loved the whole sequence. Erica was funny during the entire thing. She was also hot. She really got into it at the end with the pole. I wish I was that pole! Tom is great at playing awkward. He's nailed it down.

Yea the scene was very funny!!!! Even when lois was trying to dance..she was terrible...hahaha...a miracle clark didnt create some fire with boobs right infront of him...by the way how the heck did he sleep with lana if he has heat vision arousal problems???? hahahaah...image her burning to crispy chicken while they do it...hahahhaa...sorry that's really mean. :D and not under the topic.

That was the most unsexy thing I've ever seen. The trailer made it look better. Maybe I'm biased, because I'm not into women - or maybe it was just plain aweful.
...by the way, I'm not saying I could have done it better (because I sure as heck wouldn't have) and I know that it was supposed to be awkward...but still....it was bad.
No, it was great. Sweet dreams tonight.

I guess TW gave her bad dancing lessons, at least she didn't do the fist pumping who-who from spell. Actually they cut one of her best moves that was in the trailer.
BTW, if Lois thinks that was a lap dance she has a few things to learn. :p

I loved this scene. Lois was so hot! And you can tell, although he was uncomfortable, Clark didnt mind seeing Lois dancing.
I think some of you are missing the point.
Lois Lane (the CHARACTER) is supposed to look ackward in that situation. She's not a stripper so why would she be able to automatically perform like a great stripper first time out, not to mention it was a last minute thing. She didn't go to that club planning to strip.
Now, I'm sure if the actress, Erica Durance, had to play a character that KNEW how to strip, she'd do a great job.
Point is Durance did a good job playing the part of someone that had to strip at the last minute, but had never done so before. From reading a lot of your posts, I'd say she did a good job acting.
It was more believable then Lana Lang becoming a Kung Fu expert after 2 or 3 days (if that) of martial arts training.

It was way overhyped. All of the promos made it seem like it was going to be better.

I actually like Lana kickin' butt. You know what's not believable is how Chloe can afford all those gadgets.. i know those things aren't cheap and the girl isn't loaded.. she didn't even have a job! So how the heck can she afford them?!
So yeah, the word "believable" should not be used in the same sentence that has anything to do with Smallville.

Worst stripper ever!!
However, it was still very funny.
Erica has always had a killer body, but in tonight's episode when she first came out on stage, she looked too skinny. You could see her ribs poking out.

Yeah, I think Erica looks great, but she'd look better with a few extra pounds. I volunteer to donate some of the junk in my trunk. Lord knows I have plenty! :p
Anyhow, I was laughing like a loon during Lois' rendition of a strip tease. Tears in my eyes the whole time!
You have to give it to the girl, stripping all the way down to her bones ;)

Lois trying to dance was so hilarious!
She's an even worse dancer than Clark! I didn't think that was humanly possible!
I was sitting in my family room laughing so hard that whole Clark and Lois stripper scene, she was getting into it, then BAM! She sees Clark and she's like "OMG! What the hell is he doing here?".
You could tell that when Clark first saw her, it was shocked, then he was mesmerized, THEN as soon as Lois saw Clark, he begun to act really nervous.
Although she made him hot under the collar, he kept adjusting his shirt and tie, in the I'm hot kind of way.
Clark was sooo trying really hard not to look at her!

I don't think she was doing the running man. It was more her marching, cause of the whole patriotic theme. You don't do the running man while saluting.
That was by far the stupidest scene in Smallville history.
PETER WEST

That scene was hilarious (It's remined me of Teri/Lois undercover dress up like the yellow chicken) It's showed Lois was cut out to be a stripper, That she was only doing this to uncover the truth about a murder. That she wouldn't do this to make money etc. I notice that she was shy until she saw Clark , then she got a little more into the stripper act. Man Erica's got a nice body.

I was thinking this scene was going to be smarmy, but it was hilarious. It's always fun when the show plays up the awkward moments with these characters. Erica has a great comic sense, and she and Tom have a comic chemistry that's a lot of fun to watch.

LMAO too!!
ED achieved that scene pretty good----as an uncomfortable and unwilling Lois attempting to do a first time strip!! But it was Clark's reaction to the whole thing that sealed the deal for me!!
PRICELESS!!:D :D :D :D

Priceless scene between Clois!!! I was LMAO and thinking they would make perfect dance partners after what we saw Clark doing in Spell
They are so funny together...totally reminds me of Terry and Dean in L&C!!

I found it funny when Clark awkwardly tried to stand up when Lois finished dancing but for *some* reason could'nt ;)

You may be right. But it looked like she started doing the running man and then maybe went into the march/salute.
That's what I'm going to stick with cuz it's funnier that way. :)

I TOTALLY AGREE Crispin Glover! Erica Durance was TOTALLY IN CHARACTER when she was doing her dance number. Just like Tom Welling was totally in character when he was dancing so goofy last year in Spell. Thats NOT how Tom or Erica dance in real life, they are ACTORS PORTRAYING CHARACTERS on Smallville!
