It looked sorta strange! I mean, the car went, and all of a sudden the girl was flat on the ground.

Weird? That's what it's like when someone gets hit by a car.

Is this our First Canditate for the Best Death Scene of the year?
i also cringed when that poor poor hot stripper got run over by the car, but dont people usually when hit fly up and onto the car when they get hit and not get flattened like she did

Did the car have any scratches or whatever would normally happen? I know ita a big one, but it would have a little scratch of some sort.

if someone got hit by a car in the midsection, their guts would probably wind up coming out their mouth. most likely also the woman's head wouldh ave hit the concrete with considerable force which would have reasulted in sever cranial trauma. Assuming she didnt fly up over the vehicle, she would have gone under the vehicle... most cars have 6" or less of clearance which would have meant her body would be dragged some distance across the pavement after going under. Her face and most of her skin would have been ripped raw.
Instead as is typical... there is only the 'blood trail' from the corner of her mouth. MAybe it's TV obscenity rules or something but I'm kinda sick of them trivializing death scenes. My rule of thumb..... if it's obvious it should have killed them, but your camera shot doesn't look like they're dead ... then you didn't do it right.

Have any of you actually seen someone get hit by a car like that? Even though it was a dummy, with her position, it was believable.

Exactly. I've never seen someone get hit, but there is a great chance that a person could be in that position after being hit like that. And even if it did look fake, I don't think it was funny.

Yeah right!
Just like in the old Star Trek, Leonard "Bones" McCoy leans over the body and says...."he's dead Jim!":o

Just because someone gets hit by a car, doesn't mean they're automatically dead. I laughed at Lois's face after Chloe said, "She's dead!" It looked just like Chloe's face after Clark and her found Gabriel's father's dead body in Hidden! She looked like, "Yeah, this happens all the time!"

if you get run over by a 4 ton denali at 65 mph your chances of survival are slim to none

One of my friends saw it happen once. He said he saw the guys brains on the street. Sorry for the details, but that's what happened. The guy who hit him was having a seizure and it happened at an outdoor table at a restaurant.

As a survivor of being ran over by a large car I can say that it IS NOT FUNNY. If you are hit then you will either go over the car or under it depending on your size. I was struck by a Lincoln doing about 50 and went up and over finally stopping about 40 feet away. Trust me, that scene was real enough and so was the dialog.

^^^ ouch. We're not really dissing the scene, but in some weird way we'd like to see more blood n guts to make it really believeable. She did sort of just fall over like a pancake.

Ok... that death was probably the funniest thing I've seen on Smallville yet... My buddy and I watched it at least 10 times... we put it in slow motion, frame by frame, and fast forward. And then Chloe walks up and is like she's dead. We were like no crap. Hahaha it definately has my vote for best death of the year... no of the show.
