View Full Version : DOES LANA KNOW??

Clark missed another opportunity to tell Lana his secret. I knew he wasn’t anytime soon because he's stupid......

But didn't he notice how she didn’t freak out when she sort of found out about Clark's powers when she was a Vampire?(or infected/diseased meteor accident with cannibalistic fangs -if you refuse to use that mythological term) remember when she said, "Buffy was wrong about you; I guess you are special after all." and something along the lines of "maybe I've been hiding my true self just like how you were hiding who you really are from me" and before that in Lex’s mansion right before she bit Clark she told him that she loved him and that she always will..

um HELLO? doesn’t that hint that if he tells her his secret then she’s probably not going to freak out either. Well maybe she didn’t freak out during that vampire phase because she too was a freak and "really wasn't herself" but that’s what made this Thirst episode and “Spell” different and better: she wasn't processed. *gasp*

Even though they've abused the 'Bad Lana' card many times and we've already seen her in the black leather/evil make-up get up; it was still awesome to see parts of her actually putting up a fight and defending Clark. Usually she *rolls over and plays dead* or *okay feel free to take over my body and do things I’ll regret* and simply teases Clark until she gets her hands on the stones like in “Spell”. Nope this time the only thing she wanted was for Clark to be a vampire also so they can be together. Can you feel the Clana love?

I guess the writers are saving the 'Lana knows Clark's secret' deal for another way later and better episode with a more dramatic effect because that sure would’ve been a crappy way for her to find out.

Or MAYBE she already knows?? And how much does she really remember? (and other little things from previous episodes if the writers are deciding to do a continuity thing)

Is she playing the Chloe game where she already knows Clark's secret but is waiting for him to tell her when he’s ready?

I think the whole guilt over the death of Lana's parents still plagues him..

I guess in a way it could be seen as her parents died so Clark could live.

Wouldn't you be really scared that the person you love most in the world would be afraid of you or (even worse) betray you if you were raised your whole life with a secret you were told you couldn't reveal because makes you different from everyone else? This secret has obviously caused him some serious "fitting in" issues.

Good points "fetish".

I don't believe they will do the Lana knows ep for some time, as they have at least another year and half to go. Not sure if they need to either.

The writing between the lines is that yes, Lana at least suspects but more importantly could handle the truth.

I don't believe she consciously knows, like Chloe did. The writers seem to be taking a different tack with Lana vs. Chloe. I approve so far. Much better than the on-again, off-again of the first couple of seasons.

I thought that when she discovered he's special. In every other "Lana's not herself" episode, she either hasn't seen him use his abilities (Nicodemus) or was (as aforementioned) possessed, unlike everyone else.
Lex has seen Clark use his powers about 3 times now (Hug, Shattered, Onyx. There are probably more but I can't be bothered to think of them right now)
Lionel experienced Clark's powers firsthand in Transference.
Chloe saw him use his powers in Rush.

How everyone reacted when they saw him use his powers reflected how they'd react when they're in their right mind, so I figured they'd never have Lana see Clark use his powers when she's just having a personality change rather than possessed. So, it should be interesting if they develop this a little.

Pete knows, he is gone.
The guy from Blank knows, he is gone.
Many people in BellReve(sp)

Ryan knew, he is dead.
Alicia knew, she is dead.
Jason Suspected, he is dead.

The Kents are family so that is different.

Besides the Kents, every one who knows is gone or dead or will be(nothing has happened to Chloe, yet.) Clark may be worried about Lana's safety along with the guilt of causing Lana's parents death.

Anyone else wonder how Clark explains his sudden "disinterest"? Maybe I'd pack up for Met U, too.

Her leaving for Met U had nothing to do with Clark.

I actually think it had to do with every aspect of her life -- her goals, how she felt about still being in Smallville, her relationships.

I could not resist... I almost wet my pants from laughing so hard at "she wasn't processed."

Lana doesn't hid very well what she's feeling. I imagine that if wasn't happy with the way the relationship was going, she would have expressed it. Because from everything she said and happened in that episode, she is happy and very much in love with clark.

Lana might not freak if she found out Clark is the reason her parents are dead.

I mean she doesnt care that the person that raised her (Nell) while growing up moved and never talked to her again. She also doesnt care that her real dad (Henry Small) hasn't spoke to her in a season or 2.

yeah. well the point is she loves Clark. and thats why. She wouldve left Jason for dead in that same situatoin. Or Lex seeing as how she just flicked him aside and said no-thank-you-to-Lex-blood. or thats just me hoping because then again she gets over guys pretty quickly.

Like Lex, I think that Lana has her suspicions regarding Clark. Either she suspects and is waiting for him to tell her or she suspects but does not really wnt to know out of fear.

I feel that she suspects something is not RIGHT but she simply choose to ignore or forget it, which is why we are now seeing CLANA , but is she really knew...she may have confronted him by now and ...??

I hope they make a refrence to Clarks missing bullet scar soon.

What about the missing bite scar? She does remember biting him from that cheesy line she said near the end of the episode.

The bite and bullet scar just may very well be lost deep within one of the oh so "rare" plot holes :)
