I didn't care much for this episode but I did like the subtle ties to The X-Files. The X-Files also had a vampire episode where the opening sequence was in a jacuzzi. The typing of the letters of the scene location on the bottom of the screen was a signature of the series. The dedication of this ep was to a person who also worked in the X-series. And Prof. Fine's spaceship locked up in LuthorCorp reminded me of the spaceship that was locked up in a bunker.

Yeah x-files! I thought it looked familiar with the writing.. I think when shows get to paranormal and aliens, it all goes back to X-files...that was like the birth of shows like Supernatural.

Who wrote this ep? Any Xfiles experience?

I just found out that Kimberely Regent (the person they dedicated the show too) was a SV prop manager who used to work for the XFiles. They could have done some of this on purpose for her...

Steven S. DeKnight wrote this episode. No X-files experience that I know of but he did write for Buffy and Angel.
